The interaction was very good.

It was great. It was a huge project over several years. He did an outstanding job. It exceeded our expectations. He was really easy to work with. He was really accurate in his estimate of time and cost. The cost was a little higher but he was clear in why that might happen. He was very professional.

It has turned out OK. Thy still have some completion work do. They did a very craftsman like job on the windows. It was a very difficult job. They replaced the pains in a bunch of existing windows, instead of taking the whole window out. They saved us on the look of our house as well as the cost. Their prices were reasonable on all of the things for us. I would like to see them finish the job. It is not a lot of stuff, but they need to come back and finish it up.

I found Douglass Carpentry & Construction through a contractor's referral service. After receiving a call Damon Douglass came to our home, discussed the proposed work, made some suggestions and submitted a bid. Although we didn't find this firm through Angie's list we did use it to check his record (one very positive report). Mr. Douglass also agreed to a discount on the labor as promised by an Angie's list coupon. The work was scheduled for May 1st. His two man crew completed the work in one day. The new access looks good and works well for my wife.

A pipe froze and burst in my garage, which was full of furniture, camping gear, hardware, personal items, books, clothes and boxes. There was much damage. The plumber I used from Angie's list referred me to Damon Douglass--"He'll take good care of you." Damon called the next day, came right out, outlined a plan and did a comprehensive bid to fix the damage. I asked for and received a list of references from him, called and e-mailed 8 of them and got excellent reports on his work and subcontractors. As a single woman overwhelmed by this event, Damon was a dream to work with. He was very good at explaining the process, worked with the mitigation people and the insurance company, got a mover to take everything out of the garage including the California closets. His subs replaced and painted all the sheetrock and ceiling, repaired the garage door opener, put heat tape on the affected pipes, replaced the florescent lights, etc. The subs were orchestrated perfectly, even though this was the 2 week period surrounding Xmas and New Years. The movers returned all of my things to their correct spots. Two weeks after the initial damage, the work was done, expertly and seamlessly. Damon answered all my questions and dealt with any concerns I had throughout the process, had good ideas on how to tackle problems, always let me know what was coming next, and really went the extra mile to make sure things were done to my satisfaction. I am forever grateful to him and his crew for taking care of this disaster, especially during the freezing and rainy weather.
