Very prompt and thorough. Realized I had a second heating unit and made sure it was serviced although required going through attic. My air conditioning unit hadn't worked all summer; due to a part needing to be replaced. That was done quickly and efficiently by my service person. Everything was clearly explained and he even showed me how to pull out my furnace filters. Described part costs and the additional labor cost up front so it was no surprise at billing.

I am pleased with them because everything is taken care of. I called on a Wednesday and they were able to come out the next day. He diagnosed the problem and told me what he suggests that I get for an A/C unit. It was going to take them 2 weeks before they could do the install and that it would be a 2 day job. They were on time and they got the job done in 2 days. I was satisfied with the price and I felt that they would follow through and they did a very thorough job. They also raised the unit a little higher which I requested and appreciated. The brand of unit that I got was an EverRest. I also bought a 10 year extended warranty which is included in the price.

We would definitely use them again. They were really good for us. The quality was great and they came when they said they were going to. They laid down tarps when they needed to and all that kind of stuff.

The estimator was very nice, however Blairco's bid came in $500 more than one if their competitors for the exact same furnace, they couldnt do the work for 5 days and offered less of a warranty.

We asked for a quote. Blair suggested we go to the Natural Gas showroom in Portland to get a good idea of what we wanted and didn't want. After the showroom visit, Blair arrived promptly, gave us a quote, and as soon as the parts arrived (in less than a week) the technician came to install the fireplace. It is beautiful, just what we wanted, and a step up from our former fireplace unit. We discussed with Blair the pros and cons of going with a totally enclosed fireplace that would blow heat into the room. Blair was glad to provide quotes for both the open and enclosed systems. We decided that the extra cost of an enclosed system was not worth it, and that we preferred the open fireplace for its looks, even though it is less economical to run. I have found this company to be very reliable and professional.

Very well. Estimator was very knowledgeable and professional. Installers were very experienced and cleaned everything up. From the beginning until the end of the process everything was so easy and professional I would have expected their prices to be at the top range but they were 25% less than anyone else. Would highly recommend these folks for any of your heating/cooling needs.

They were able to come out the next day. Evaluated the problem, acquired the parts the same day and fixed the issue. Works great now.

I called Blairco the morning before Christmas, indicating my heat was out. They said they'd send a technician in the afternoon to assess the problem. He showed up at noon, went through the furnace then the heat pump. Found the problem( burned capacitor and another part). Replaced the parts and tightened loose screws. Did a good check of the system to make sure proper volts and amps were flowing etc, and said to be sure to call if there were any problems at all. I was happy to have heat on Christmas eve. Personable, professional, and prompt. Good job.

Great! The tech came in, inspected the units, provided me with useful information (that wasn't in my house inspection report) and I was good to go. A good experience.

I think they were very good. Nothing particularly stood out to me except that they seemed to be competent and thoughtful.

We are very pleased both with Blairco, their employees and the new variable speed furnance heat pump. The other companies I interviewed were all good, competitive price wise and offered other manufactures but I went with Carrier as they are the only company at the time with the high effciency system and a rebate at the time of $1,200. off the cost of the heat pump.

See comments above. additions: it seemed to me that there were inconsistencies in the skill levels of the various service technicians who came out to service the systems.

Was able to get an appointment same day but after 3:30PM as we requested. Kent arrived on time 4 PM and called about 10 minutes out, also as requested. Kent check the pressure switch but instead found upon removing the control board that it was burnt, which resulted in the intermittent heat and irregular error codes. Kent realizing the time, quickly made a phone call to get the needed control board before the store closed (at 4:30). They had the needed model in stock and would wait for him to run and pick it up. Kent left and returned promptly. He replaced the control board and then tested both heater and air conditioner, as both use the same control board. Everything tested nicely. We have heat! Kent also took the time to explain details about the heater, what it should (and should not ) be doing. He likes to share information with the customer, explaining how things work and why. Very informative. Will use them again.

From presenting the options and making a bid, through the completed installation: Excellent communication with Steve Vorheis who was the overall person in charge, a very professional and pleasant two-person installation crew who completed the job on time and were a pleasure to have in our house. They worked so late we fed them dinner one evening, and we were delighted to do so. The lead installer was a very experienced guy who communicated well, made sure we understood what they were doing, and is one of those pros who live to do their job well. We're very glad we chose Blairco's bid. It was also a couple of thousand dollars less than a competing bid from a major Portland area heating and AC contractor and service company, for what seems to be equally good equipment and technology for our needs. (Trane was the brand of equipment for the competing bid.)

EXCELLENT. I believe Daniel was the young man who came out to our home. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met! He gave us 10% off for using Angie's List. He put his booties on and was very polite throughout the entire visit. He even invited me up to my attic to show me what was going on and how he was going to fix it. I am so thrilled with how he handled himself and with the quality of the work. He was very friendly and pleasant to have around. I told him that I loved having him in the house but I hope I don't see him again because that will mean something else is wrong with my heater! Wonderful, wonderful experience!

We called Blairco on the morning of November 11, and they said that they could have someone out in the afternoon, which was fine for us. About one hour later we got a call from Blairco to say that the tech was finished with his current project and would could be out within about 30 minutes, even better than having to wait until the afternoon! When the tech arrived we explained what we were smelling and told him that the furnace had never been serviced before. He was able to smell the burning that we had been smelling and he thought it might have to do with all the dust and dirt that was in the furnace. He went though the furnace in detail, everything was cleaned out, it looked as we had a new furnace! During his cleaning he did remove our blower motor and found that we were having seals leaking. He explained that for now the motor will still work, but in time it will need to be replaced. What he did not know was when that time would come. He also thought that this might be the smell since the seals were leaking. Once he put everything back, he fired up the system and after a few moments the system fired back up. He stated the delay is a indicator of the motor starting to fail, which I then replied this delay had been happening for a few months. We decided that it was worth changing out the motor now instead of waiting, he made a call found out that their was a motor in stock in Portland, and that he could pick it up and install within a couple of hours. Best of all the motor was less than first thought of! He was able to return and get the motor installed, what a difference it made! No more burnt smells, it was much quieter than before, and now the furnace does not run nearly as much as it did! We are very happy with the service we got, the tech showed us quite a few things we should be doing in keeping the system working well. We will use Blairco for all our HVAC needs.

The team of installers and their electrical subcontractor always arrived on time and handled the work with total professionalism over the two days of the installation. The new inside unit was a little larger than our 30-year-old original furnace. The lead installer rellished the challenge of fabracating new sheet metal to accommodate the larger unit. The install was done so efficiently that it was almost boring. During the winter, when we needed the humidifier to call for moisture--it didn't. A call resulted in a tech quickly coming over and asking for our tech manual for the thermostat. He found that the installer had punched in the incorrect code for the humidfier to know when to turn on. He quickly punched in the correct code. Poblem solved. In the installer's defense, the humidifier model was new and he had never installed one like ours before. There was about a 20% reduction in our electric bill as a result of the new equipment.

They are very nice and on time. The gentlemen that come are thorough and informative.
