Stop Bugging Me Pest Control

It went very well; they were prompt in getting back to me after I purchased the deal online. They called and made an appointment as soon as I purchased it; I wanted it immediately. They showed up on time and killed all the bugs. I paid more for the extra for the bait boxes that I wanted them to put out but it was nominal, maybe $25 or $30. I was very happy with what they did. They said I had won the award for having the most bees. We are set up on a plan; they come out every couple of months. We live on fifteen acres and we have a big chicken coop house; it is quite a ways away but when we live in a country and have animals, we get rats. We did not want rats in the house. He put out two boxes and said that is all he had and said I really should have four. He said he would have to swing by later if I was okay and put them out. Two days later I saw them out here and didn’t even know he had been here.

I had a flea bloom that was one of the worst I have experienced. I am allergic to flea bites, so I have had some bad blooms in the past. I was going into the hospital for a total joint replacement so needed help in a hurry. I purchased the deal of the day and heard nothing so I called them and left a message, still nothing. It's been a month and now that I have regained my mental awareness I will try to get my money back. While I was in the hospital my neighbors came in and flea bombed the house for me. I guess I should have just done that in the first place.

This is the second year I've used Stopped Bugging Me. Both times, the person I spoke with on the phone was professional and courteous. The technician's that came to my home were friendly and professional both times. I totally noticed an end to the errant spider running across my floor, or lurking menacingly in the garage. Thank you, thank you Stop Bugging Me!

All went well, all bugs were killed and I was happy with the service

It went great - found all the wasp nests and removed them. No recocurrence, very friendly serviceman and efficient. House is a bit of a difficult layout and he did a good job of rooting out the insects. Timely and came when scheduled.

They were friendly and responsive and explained everything they were doing. We have not seen mice since what was caught after their their original visit. So, I think they solved our mouse problem.

On Thursday, when the landscaper warned me of the infestation, I bought the Angie's list deal for the treatment. Less than two hours later, I had a voicemail from their office asking for more details. We talked and they were able to come on Monday (two work days later - that was great!) at 10 AM. At 11:00 on Monday I got a call in my office letting me know that all was taken care of and what to watch for to make sure the treatment was successful. Problem gone.This was a textbook service. Quick, efficient, unintrusive, relatively cheap. After this experience I have Stop Bugging Me in my rolodex as my first contact for any future pest removal or animal control provider. Thank you!

This was a glitch in ordering. Provider has been fine about rapid response and understanding the situation regarding my double order.

So far I don't hear any noises in the walls. So far its good. He did a good job.

The guy came out and put around 6-7 rat traps out and he put one in the closed spaces with peanut butter in it. And then he came back in maybe ten days and said that there are some kind of activity in some of the boxes but apparently the stuff that they had on the box, the rats go in, eat it and go some place to die. And I was concerned that our dog, I did not want them eating dead rats with an anti-coagulant in the rat. He said that the stuff does not have a second effect for someone. Anyway, he said that one of the boxes had some activity and that was it. And if I wanted to sign up for some more check, like every once a month or two weeks or whatever, there was a certain cost to it. And then he left his boxes and that was it. So, I haven't seen anymore rats but I have lived here for 25 years and so one day I saw one or the dogs were chasing something and the next day the rat came in the house. It went up through the door and it was big. I found out later that the people behind me were cleaning up and apparently that's where the rats like to live. Now I have all these black boxes in the yard and he never came back to get them I don't know it I am going to get a bill but I am assuming not since we never discussed it. He just said if I wanted to do more. I'd call the company. So I do not know if that is a positive or negative thing.

Only the exterior could be done because the provider failed to inform us that we had to leave the house for 2 hours after he sprayed, so I had to make a second appointment (and I was not given priority) to have the interior done. Otherwise very good.

It was supposed to be like a $400 pest control thing and we paid $199 for it and I would never had paid $400 for it because all they did was they came in and set 3 traps under the crawlspace in our house. Then he was going to actually leave and I said, 'Well, wasn't there something else that was supposed to have happened?' and he said, 'Oh, yeah. Well, I can spray the outside of your perimeter for spiders.' and I said, 'Oh yes, that's a really good idea.' So he did and then that was it, and then I said, 'So what else do you do for the supposedly $400? Would that be all?' He didn't know that, he had to look at the coupon and he had to look for the bill, he didn't really know what it was and so I pointed out a wasp nest and he said, 'Oh yeah, we can take care of that for you.' He sprayed it with something and he said, 'Okay, well the next time I come back to look at your traps, I'll get the rest of that nest up,' because he didn't want to mess with the nest that time. So he came back and checked the traps. It took about 5 minutes and never did take the wasp nest down. I was not impressed about the whole thing, they were very nice but it just didn't seem like it was worth even $200.

Contractor arrived on time, performed service to my satisfaction

The provider was professional and arrived in a timely manner. We went over all the problem areas (ants, wasp nests) and all areas were treated as needed. The wasps nests were particularly bad in our area this year and the provider successfully treated the most problematic one located in an exterior wall. Since treatment, I have not seen any wasps in that area.

I would certainly use this provider again; I appreciated his thoroughness in taking the time to make sure the initial treatment was effective.

Within minutes of purchasing the deal on Angie's List I was contacted by email to get the best number to reach me to up an appointment. Three days later I had the technician here to do the work! He actually had a cancellation and called to see if he could come early which worked our well for me. He was polite, friendly, professional and the work was done quickly. The only unexpected expense was tax which was not included in the Angie's List price.

6/29/13: I had this company come out to get rid of a small bee nest in the attic. The price was suppose to be Angie's List price. However, he also sprayed outside for ants. The bill was $183.20 for just the nest, then an additional $61.17 for outside to prevent ants. The technician was courteous and prompt but he did want me to sign up for automatic treatment, which I refused. I gave the technician my credit card and he supplied me with a receipt. I thought the price was high then but my next call to them pretty much supported that feeling. 8/12/13 - We had a nest of yellow jackets underneath a wood pile right by the walkway to patio. When I called Stop Bugging Me, they looked up the last call and said they would give me a discount of $90 for the service. The technician was prompt and had to run away from the yellow jackets more than once. He did want me to sign up for a continual maintenance program. Again, I refused. I started to hand my card to the tech but he said the office would handle that and did not give me a receipt. When I called the office, they quoted the bill as $130.XX. They had already charged my card since they kept all my information on file, which I did not authorize. When I qauestioned the bill they said they had to add charges of travel, etc., etc. I told them I was suppose to be charged what they quoted but the man at the other end could have cared less. I also told him I did not want them to keep my credit card information on their database. He ignored my request and hung up. I was concerned not only about the additional charges, but also about a company going ahead and storing my credit card info. I felt it necessary to contact my credit card company and contest the charge. In addition, they suggested they issue me a new card. Nearly a month later Stop Bugging Me did issue a credit of $31.08. Someone from their office called me to let me know and when asked, they verified they still had my credit card info on their system. He justified that by saying they did it with all customers who have automatic maintenance, which I do not. I suspect the actions of the credit card company and another poor review on Yelp motivated their turn-around since he asked me if I had written a review which, until now, I had not. No one should have to go through this process in order to be treated fairly.

They contacted me and we made an appointment. They were kind enough to warn me to stay away from the wasps until they came out. (I wasn't cetain what type of bee they were and had already been stung twice) They came out and srayed two areas where we could see the wasps leaving and returning although the nest was not visable. I was told it could take several hours for them to die off. I have not seen a wasp since.

The guy they sent over (forgot his name... have his card somewhere though) was on time and very personable. Explained what he was going to do and gave us details on the types of poison he'd be using. He reassured us that our pets would be safe to roam the house a couple hours after the spraying, and let us know what we could expect from the results. Results were very positive. Considerably drop in number of spiders and other creepy crawlers, will be calling them again come spring time for another spraying. Will probably start using these guys on a regular basis going forward.

Jameson answered all my questions and explained what he was going to do. He was polite, quick and thorough. He asked if I wanted to sign up for quarterly service. I said, No, thanks - and that was it. No pressure. I'd definitely have him/Stop Bugging Me Pest Control out again.

It was good. They came on time and the spiders seemed to disappear for a good few months! Exactly what we wanted and needed!

I bought a $199 deal through Angie's list ,the guy came and sprayed the entire area, suggested I should follow up with a quarterly plan for a year. When the next spray scheduled, they sent me a notice they would be coming but they didn't mentioned the time, I emailed them to ask them the time, they didnt emailed me back until two hours prior to their arrival. When I received the bill, I asked them why they charged me so much for for taxes, they said a portion of it was for gas and the other for some kind of environmental control plus taxes. I've been doing a lot of businesses with people but this has to be the first, where a business charged you for gas to come to your house to perform a service.

I had tiny black ants in the kitchen and previous issues with mice and rats. The coupon was for either ant or rodent service. He gave me advice on the right type of ant poison to buy - that worked great - so I could use the coupon for the rodent issue. He inspected the crawlspace and foundation since I had patched where I thought mice were getting into the house. He said there was evidence of a lot of rodent activity and set a number of traps. He came back after a few days and had only caught one rat. He recommended an expensive trenching and concrete barrier to keep the rats out, but since most of the rats seemed to be going under the garage slab rather than into the crawlspace, it seemed excessive when only one rat was caught in the crawlspace. There may have been other options using poisons that I rejected because I have dogs. He was very professional and knowledgable and agreed that cost of the solution seemed out of proportion to the current situation. I felt the cost was high for the service provided. If I had only had the ant problem, it was certainly too high for just that. I would consider using them again if I needed ongoing pest control because the technician was helpful and knew what he was talking about. But I felt the coupon ended up costing more in my situation than if I'd just hired someone to come out. In a different situation it may have been well worth it, just not in my case.
