Stop Bugging Me Pest Control

The process only took about 30 minutes. It did kill the carpenter ants - we saw a lot of dead ants around the house initially and after a month later we are seeing about 2-5 ants/day (from 10-15 ants/day). It didn't totally get rid of the problem but it has helped. I wish we would have looked for the source as I don't think the provider was able to locate the ant source.

They gave me a time range and they showed a little after the time but not bad, the tech was professional and did a good job. We have had spiders come back after a 2 week reprieve, not sure how well the spray worked.

Great service! Mike showed up in the expected time window on Saturday and after hearing what I described (noises in wall from ants) he quickly went to work. He answered safety questions that I asked (will this hurt my dogs, child, etc). He was professional and after about 30min or so he was done! The ants quickly died off. Mike walked me through what to keep an eye out for. He scheduled the follow up appointment with me. A week later Mike came and I told him about not seeing any live ants trailing to/from the house. He didn't recommend any contract/service as he thought it was taken care of. I thought that was great!

Went well, they killed 4 bees nests and our ant problem has gone away.

Our experience with these guys was basically mass miscommunication. Via email I asked for a bid for someone to come out and take care of the many outdoor rats we're seeing in our yard. I got a reply that seemed automated with no reference to outdoor rats -- it was a summary of the kind of work they'd do to inspect and seal up the house and set traps in the house and said it would cost $400. I responded that I was only interested in outdoor work. I got a reply that again seemed like maybe the person hadn't read my email. He said actually he made a mistake and the price would be $200 and would include tamper resistant bait stations outside the house and that a 7-10 day follow up was included in the price. I said great, sign me up. We scheduled an appointment for some time between 3 and 5 on Friday. The guy called at right around 3 and said he'd be at the house around 3:20. I have a dog who isn't always friendly to people working around the house so I took her out and left my husband with the rat guy. Shortly after the guy arrived, my husband called to tell me that the guy showed up and said that he didn't have any outdoor traps with him so couldn't do any of that. I asked my husband if they guy said he'd come back and do that another day but the guy hadn't said that. So I called the main office. I was told that they offer two services -- one is for the house and another is for exterior work. There's no such thing as a 7-10 day follow up to check outdoor traps. If you want outdoor traps you have to sign up for a recurring monthly plan. No mention of that in the emails to me! The woman on the phone was super nice. She put me on hold and was able to look up my string of emails. She said she was confused and didn't know why the guy had quoted me that random price and random work. Meanwhile, back at the house, the guy had set traps in the attic. I told the woman on the phone I didn't plan to pay $200 for the work since it didn't include what they told me it would include. Since the guy said he found evidence of rats in the attic, I said I was fine with leaving the traps there and paying some amount of money for the work but not $200. She said she didn't have the authority to work out the price and that I should call on Monday. She was super nice. I said, sure, ok. I asked if they typically bill people or if the guy was going to ask my husband to write him a check. She said she would call the guy at my house and let him know the plan so that he didn't try to charge my husband. When I got home, my husband said that after the guy got the call from the woman in the office he got kinda huffy, went up in the attic and removed all the traps! And then left. Sounds like bad information and miscommunication all around. I'm sorry that the guy came out here and worked and no one gets paid. But I felt like it was a bait and switch. I was promised one thing and given something else entirely. And since he removed the traps, despite what I'd agreed with the woman on the phone, I didn't really know what to do. I didn't end up calling them back because I'm not sure what I would have said. I surely wasn't paying them anything. And I didn't want to use them at all for other services.

They come by every two months now. We love them! I like that they notify us when they are here. They write up a nice report after they are done.

He showed up on time, with all the equipment and everything ready. We have a small chat about what we wanted and what he could do, and we agreed and he went with it. We're very happy with the results and the work that was done. We would do business with Stop Bugging Me again for sure.

The service went well. I paid extra to have them do the interior and exterior of my home. I thought the additional fee was competitive. They were able to resolve the issue. The technician was very personable and happy to explain what he was doing. He did a good job and I no difficulties with scheduling. They were able to come out with a few days of me calling.

They contacted me immediately and I had an appointment within a week. The worker showed up on time and was very professional and personable. He asked if I had any specific concerns and then sprayed. Warned me about keeping my cats and dog inside until the treatment dried. I was very happy with the service and will continue with them as needed.

It turned out okay. The scheduling was good and the guy was very informative. I did have to pay the tax on top of the Big Deal.

The service was done promptly and has had the desired effect of stopping ant intrusions into our house.

Not good at all. Two days after the application, we saw a couple of ants on the deck. We assumed that they were new or somehow missed the pesticide, BUT less than a couple of weeks later the interior of our house has been overtaken by carpenter ants. We are finding them on the staircases, granite counter tops, bonus room, den, etc. In all the years we've lived here we have never had such a problem. Yesterday was the worst of days when the ants found their way to our arms, legs, etc. I called the company this morning and Ryan answered. He said he had never heard of this before and that it was probably a coincidence of some sort. He then offered me a deal: he'd be willing to take the original amount I paid and apply it to an internal application that costs more. (That's when I read the fine print on their invoice.) It says that treatments after the first time may be required to get full control, of course, at additional costs - how many more that would be would be (Stop Bugging-Me) guess. I am doing my research now and find that it is Washington's state law to state the type of pesticide that was used. That was not provided until I called the third time this morning and a friendly and apologetic lady offered to send the information to my email. I believe that she will send it, although I am still waiting. I am going to another company that guarantees their workmanship. If any problem continues, they return on their dime, not our's. I feel this is my first mistake with Angie's List. I would have given this company an "F" if not for Scott and the friendly woman I spoke to earlier. As for their product, be sure you know exactly what is being applied.

Did a fine job. Seemed to be knowledgeable and professional about the business.

The service provider was prompt, friendly and professional. He did what he said he would do and returned two weeks later on time and will all of the appropriate guidance and information. It was easy to do business with this provider and I recommend working with them.

We were not terribly impressed with them and I think that they charged us $150 or $200 or something like that. They made an appointment and did not show up. And then, they came back kind of randomly on a different day without really giving us advance notice. And then, it did not seem like they really did much. We would probably not consider using their services again.

He was very nice, he came out right away and did a great job.

They did what they said they'd do but it was extremely minimal. Put foam on only one side of the house and during the second visit did not trim it as promised during first trip. Set two traps that were not in the crawl space and removed when they came back for the second time. I received no real detail on how bad it was, which as it turns out was closer to a rat infestation and in a week the smell was unbelievable. On the second visit he did not mention that the rat traps would not be effective due to the activity that had happened in the basement removing insulation and dead rats. No follow up discussion or conversation to ensure they stayed out of the basement.

Terrific service, very helpful and thorough. No high pressure sales. It has been about two weeks and there are no carpenter ants to be seen. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

The service man came and told me the first thing is if any service beyond a hour, he will not do. It will be a separate charge. That is fair. I agreed. He did about a hour of check in crawlspace and attic and told me that rodent problem was very severe, and only solution was to sign up on bi-month service. The service man was very knowledgeable. He told me what the rats problem I had. Why our neighbor's chicken were source of trouble. But I felt most of time he was trying to sell me the bi-month service. He drew diagram but told me the rat problem was beyond his ability to fix. And we need to get crawlspace guys. And set traps and the another service man came and picked up the traps a week later and got one rat. We eventually spend another $10,000 to rebuild the crawlspace and attic. And the crawlspace guy guaranteed us to have no rat for at least a year. So we have not sign up for the bi-month service for now. $200 for two trips is not expensive. But to us, the deal did not help much. I felt this deal is more like a promotion that actually does the job. Maybe if you found a couple of mice, and couple of holes, this deal helps.

Punctual, courteous, offered the upsell gently but didn't push. Made sure my gates were shut.

The service was great. They did a good job.

Overall they did fine work but we had some trouble with them regarding punctuality. On every visit they arrived at least 15-30 min early. Which is great usually but on the most recent service they came too early and left when no one was here. They claim they arrived early and waited but someone was here at the appointed time and they were not. I think they came and knocked on the door and then left. So we had to reschedule. Not a huge deal but it is kind of annoying when you don't want to have to wait another three days to deal with a rat living inside your stove.

This was an $89.00 Angie's List Big Deal coupon purchase. Everything went great! They called and we agreed to a time for them to come out. They were on time and did a very good job with the spraying and entertaining my questions. I went ahead and setup a quarterly service with them and it is taken care of if I am at home or away with work. I requested that they let me know in advance when they would be coming by because I prefer to be on site when the service is performed. They are very good about calling and sometimes emailing me prior to coming out to provide the service. The quarterly service runs about $115, which seems a little expensive for about 20-30 minutes of work. I think it should be closer to $75 for what is involved. Other than the price issue for me personally, I highly recommend this service. They are professional, honest, courteous and they deliver as promised.

They came punctually and did the treatment around the perimeter of the home. It solved the problem for some time, but the bugs came back. The company did call after a few weeks to check if we had any concerns so customer service was good.
