Stop Bugging Me Pest Control

I had a yellow jacket nest in the rockery next to my garage. I emptied two cans of wasp killer spray into it over the course of two weeks at dusk and dawn and they still kept coming back. I saw the Angie's list special for $99 pest control from Stop Bugging Me and bought it. Everything went smoothly. Got an appointment a week later. Chris arrived during my selected time frame, 7-9am, in a branded truck and uniform. I poured out my yellowjacket woes and he explained to me his planned procedure and which poison he would use. He put on his bee suit and did the job. I was charged $9.50 in tax which I paid with credit card at completion of service and received receipt via email a day later. Today I do not see the yellow jackets swarming anymore. So I hope they stay away this time!

They were excellent. They were very thorough. They were fabulous. I have not had any ants since. We don't have a rat.

I assume it will take a few days for the insects to die and the spiders to go away? I will have a better idea if the spray worked after a couple of weeks.

Bought service from an Angie's Big Deal. They were very professional in setting up service and day/time. They arrived on time. I was very busy so they told me what they were going to do and what I should observe to see if follow-up was necessary (included in the service warranty). I then left them to it and attended to my other business. They took care of what was needed and left. I never saw another pest from that nest. Exactly what I wanted. I will use them for any future pest issue.

It went very well. He explained everything that he did, told us to keep our pets away from the area for a few hours. I told him that I was going to plug the gap that provided access to the bugs, and he told me to wait for five or six more days so that the residual insecticide could take care of any bugs that were away from home today. He also said that if I saw more activity after that period, I should call and they would do a free followup treatment (which wasn't necessary). The $99 offer was an Angie's List special, so the regular price would be a bit higher. I would call these folks again and be willing to pay full price if I need more bugs removed. I am totally satisfied with the service.

After checking Angie's list for a pest control recommendation I made an appt. with "Stop Bugging Me" pest control for the following Tuesday when my husband would be home. Mark from SBM phoned me Tuesday morning and said he could come early....and he did....by two hours. Mark got rid of our carpenter ant problem and continued prepping the outside of our house for a new paint job. Thanks for asking.

Very prompt, punctual, knowledgeable and nice. I had ants coming in in two places. They are still coming in one of those places although in reduced numbers. I assume they are nesting in my wall or something. Or maybe they are just dying slowly.

The bug guy was super knowledgeable and walked me around my entire property and talked about everything I could imagine involving bugs and rodents attacking the house. He addressed all of my concerns and even gave me a few traps to throw in my attic for free to see if there was a rat problem and showed me how to use them. I decided to sign up for on going services as it is affordable and the service was highly professional and friendly. I would recommend.

Our hose bib was broken in the front of the house. They used a neighbor's hose bib. That made me a little uncomfortable, but the whole procedure went very quickly and they were out.

The guy was very prompt, courteous, professional, and clean. He also did a follow up visit without charging me and took care of the problem.

He told me that I should see a reduction in wasp activity until it finally ceased in about three days. That was exactly what happened. He was very friendly, professional, and informative.

Showed up on time, exterminated the wasp nest and was on his way in under a hour! So far so good, we haven't seen any wasps flying around - thank you Stop Bugging Me!

Scheduling was easy and we had an appointment within 10 days. Mike and his coworker arrived right on time, introduced themselves and explained exactly what they wanted to do to proceed. I gave them the rundown of what I knew and they took that into consideration while inspecting our new home. They walked the exterior and were so detailed they noted evidence of possible bird roosting in our attic (also noting upon further investigation, that no birds gained access to the house, which was good news). They confirmed evidence of rodent issue and promptly sealed up the likely entry point with concrete-like caulk and wire mesh. This was done the same visit they did the initial walkthrough (which impressed me. No subsequent trips out needed to complete this work). Traps were set in crawlspace and attic, and they talked to me about preventative measures to keep rodents away from the house. Confirmed they will be back to check traps in 7-10 days and we set up that appointment right then and there. On next visit, they also recommended they set rat baits around parameter. While they did suggest a quarterly service, it was not at all sales-pitchy and I did not feel pressured. They said they offer monthly service but they didn't feel it was necessary, and then explained what was included in the quarterly service (check bait traps, spray exterior of house for bugs, spiders, ants, remove cobwebs from foundation, fully inspect everywhere, etc.). Also included was the fact that if we were/are to ever have additional issues or "hear a bump in the night" that we could call them and they'd be out. Mike explained that he was our contact and they try to keep the same person on the account so that they know the history of the home, what has been done, etc. Great feature and makes sense to me! Add to that that Mike has been in the business for a long time and has a dad in the business for 20+ years, and I very much got the impression that these guys are dedicated to good service and know their stuff. While we settled up, I randomly asked Mike about a recently discovered ant problem in the kitchen (this was not the reason I called) and he stopped, checked out the area, examined the ants and identified them as odorous house ants. He gave me a ton of information about them, preventative measures etc, while adding "I'll make a note, we'll spray interior and exterior for those next time". When I asked about that, he explained that the spray was both a barrier AND a clinging spray so they'd be deterred from the area, but -- if they entered -- would get the sticky stuff on their feet so they'd ingest and spread to others in the colony. Do I seem impressed? Indeed. Add to that that Mike was very informative about how the sprays and rat baits are safe: rat baits are locked in a cage thing and require key to access, spray described is no more toxic than salt water. With a dog and two kids, this was hugely important to me. But I didn't even have to ask -- he volunteered this information and seemed proud of their green and safe practices. I can (and will) update this review if I do not see positive results from this initial service, but as of now I am completely impressed by the company, the specialist, and their practices. Highly recommend.

Haven't seen any more carpenter ants.

The technician called and gave me the time he would arrive. He arrived right on time. Very polite young man. Introduced himself and than went to work. I thought the service was great at a great price and very nice technician. I liked he had a name badge on and it was very visible.

Our experience with Stop Bugging Me from start-to-finish was very smooth. Tom Jones was very professional, knowledgeable, speedy, and punctual. The appointment was easy to set up, and when I mentioned the Angie's List deal, they gladly honored it, plus gave me no troubles at checkout. Tom answered questions I had about other issues, and was pleasant to work with. We'd use them again!

They couldn't get out this week, I have already handled the issue on my own.

All aspects of the service and experience were exactly what I want from a service provider: Responsive, highly knowledgeable, consultative, professional results, fairly priced, and friendly. A+ to Tom and Stop Bugging Me.

I took advantage of the deal provided by Angie's list after seeing a rat while working in my garden. I also had lot of yellow jackets so I paid a little additional for their killing and removal. (That's why it was 250 instead of the 190 for the big deal) My technician, Scott, was wonderful. He took care of setting the traps and coming back out for removal. He found even more yellow jacket nests than I noticed and removed them without affecting my vegetable garden. He recommended a couple service that were well priced and had real value to us. Our experience was wonderful all around. He didn't try to pressure us into things we don't need or go around using scare tactics to sell my neighbors services. I will recommend them to anyone for pest control issues big or small and continue using them for any future problems or yearly maintenance I need.
