Stop Bugging Me Pest Control

After research on the internet I purchased electronic devices to drive them away. This was 5 days before deciding to set up an appointment. The first one was plugged in at the center of the house and they quickly evacuated, however, the 2 days later I found a rat in my washing machine after falling down from the hot water heater vent where the ceiling cover had been forced down. The lid of the top load washing machine was closed on the rat as he fell in. He escaped out of the house while I was trying to find something to put him in. Needless to say lots of chorax and several washings were done after his departure. Two more electronic devices were placed at either end of the house along the vent cover being securely taped to the ceiling. I decided to remove all questions and called "Stop Buggin' Me" after searching Angie's List. An appointment was set up for the following Tuesday. Several entry points under the house and in the attic were found and plugged up with the correct size combination of galvanized wire mesh, staples, and liquid nails. Darrell did a very thorough job and did not mind me following him around the house. (I am a hands on DIY person.) The follow-up a week later proved they were gone. Service technician (Kyle) is great and responsible for my home from beginning to end...after the follow-up visit, I decided to take a subscription for quarterly inspections...having a single point of contact and service person for all service needs is terrific.

Small detail after follow-up--crawlspace entry access sealed too tightly--was addressed, corrected immediately upon request, at no further cost.

They were great. We had a yellow jacket nest under the eave, and the insects were starting to get into the house. By the time we called Stop Bugging Me, the weather was getting cold and the yellow jackets were less in evidence. But they sprayed the nest to make sure, and best of all, gave us a lot of good information about what to expect in the future.

Overall, my experience with Stop Bugging Me was very good however I did not appreciate that after my purchase they notified me that tax (an additional $17.28) would be collected at the time of the initial visit. It would be more professional to include this information in the "Fine Print" of their advertisement in Angie's List so that prospective purchasers can consider this in the overall cost before making a decision to purchase this Big Deal. With that said, Tim the technician was very personable, informative, and appeared to be very thorough. He did not oversell his company but did let me know what services might be of benefit for my house. He set traps in our crawlspace and attic. On the return visit, no rats were trapped but there was activity. We'll be checking again in a couple of weeks. If I need more help, I will call them again.

They're okay. I use them probably two, three weeks after purchasing it. They just did the pest control. I will use them again. I would say doing above and beyond. They just did what they did. I paid a dollar, they give me a dollar. It's an average services. I come back for their professionalism and expertise.

The treatment was very effective. The technician ensure the nest would be dead within 3 days and I saw no activity within 24 hours.

I thought service was fine until we still had problems with mice. Another company came out and also discovered that there were multiple spiders webs on the outside of the home that had not been serviced for an extremely long time.

They have always been great. Started out with an ant problem, then mice. Unfortunately after losing my job in August, we've had to cancel the monthly services, but even with that their operations director called me to see if they could do something for us within our current budget and offered to help when we are ready to bring them back. Great guys.

We booked the deal, which was go an kill a bees nest for $99.00. Normally, that's the kind of stuff I would do myself. However, in this case, the wasp nest was right in the ventilation holes of the fascia on top of our 2nd story. I tried getting up there myself but they saw me coming, and I really prefer for me neck to be Unbroken. So we hired a professional. They came out promptly, and did the job as requested. We were told if we still see them in 10 - 14 days, call back and schedule a follow up. Well they did, and rather than book us out for like a week or two (since they were booked solid), they said they'd be right out that day and they would pull someone off another job. They came out and resprayed, and the job was done!

I originally contacted StopBugging me to help with removal of suspected rats in my crawl space. I bought a deal through Angie's list. It was easy to schedule a time to meet with them. My first appointment was within a couple of days. My first technician was friendly, helpful and answered all of my questions. Since my deal provided me with one visit plus a follow up, I decided I wanted a few more visits to be sure the rats were really gone. I decided that another 3 months was enough time for service. There was not pressure for service beyond the initial deal. On the second visit a dead rat was removed from a trap in the crawlspace. On the third visit they inspected and did not find any more rats in traps but the bait had been eaten. They restocked the bait and will return in a month. I was really impressed by my first technician. He was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My second technician is fine. My only issue is that he showed up in my driveway nearly 30 minutes early for an 8 am appointment. He did not disturb me in any way it just struck me as odd.

Short story: these folks were good for spraying chemicals exactly where I told them to and not much more than that. I found the wasps, they didn't. Pretty sure that the cold weather is what really killed them. Long story: I live in a 2-story house and noticed a couple of wasps (which I initially mistaken for bees) in the house and in the garage. In the span of about a week their appearance became more frequent, especially in my 3-year old daughter's room which is above the garage. I called SBMPC and set up an appointment for a few days later. When the tech showed up we talked and I explained that I've seen some wasps here and there and maybe around the garage. He seemed nice and all. I pointed to the eaves around the garage as a possible source and he sprayed the area with chemicals. I wasn't watching him but I don't think he even got a ladder or flashlight out to actually investigate where the wasps were coming from. A short while later he told me that he was done and that I needed to wait a week. If treatment didn't work after a week they could come back. Over the next few days the wasps kept flying into my young daughter's room - at least a handful a day. 4 or 5 days later I've had enough and called SBMPC. Again, they told me that they would not do anything until a full week was up. I thought about calling someone else but given that I only had to wait a couple of days I figured I would do just that. Finally, a full week later I called and scheduled another appointment for a few days later. By this point, my daughter's room has been buzzing with wasps for over 2 weeks. I did NOT expect the tech to do any actual investigation so prior to the appointment I poked my head into the attic and sure enough there were wasps there. The same tech arrived and he went up to the attic, sprayed more chemicals, then informed me that he was not able to crawl through the entire attic - to the part above my daughter's bedroom - so instead he sprayed into some overhead light fixtures in the hallway. He did not find a nest either. Again, he told me to wait a week, then he said wait 2 weeks, before calling back. That evening and over the next few days I probably killed a dozen more wasps. In the end, I think the problem just resolved itself. By this point it was November and it started to get really cold, especially at night. So I think that's what finally got the wasps.

I used an Angie's Coupon and scheduled through the Angie's website. The company called me promptly and we made an appointment within a couple of weeks, at my convenience. The technician arrived on time, took appropriate precautions, sprayed into the area of infestation, and explained what he was doing. The service included a one year guarantee. The problem has not reoccurred since then. He recommended that we seal up the hole in the eve which we have done.

Called on a Friday evening after our new puppy and son were stung by bees. Tim picked up the phone even though I was 10min past his listed closing hours. He scheduled to come out the next day (Saturday) and spray. We even were able to by the deal over the phone. Technician came and spayed. Have not seen a bee since. Highly recommend.

Tech Don arrived a bit early, sprayed the observed infested areas with proper products, climbed to the attic, (no easy access), reported no yellowjackets there. He advised me to call if I saw any activity in a few days. No more bugs, no problems.

put out ant traps and spider traps then checked back a couple of weeks later to make sure the ants had gone.

Went fine. Mix up with initial visit date.

They were okay. First-time pest inspection so I have nothing to compare them to. During the first visit the inspector said that I probably have several rodents based on the amount of poop he found, but a couple of weeks later just one was caught and he changed his story to 'you probably just had the one'. I think it was indeed just one rodent that got in from the yard (haven't had rodents since the one was caught), so I'm not sure why the inspector blew the problem out of proportion initially, whether he was trying to scare me into more inspection services or truly assessed the situation incorrectly.
