Stop Bugging Me Pest Control

The service did not work out very well. We had to call them back. I would not use them again. They had an advertisement to come out and remove a bee’s nest. They came out and sprayed the bee’s nest and then, they just left. We asked if they would take the bee’s nest down and they said that we can call them. They will come back in a couple of weeks and we can pay them more money to take it down. We said that that was ridiculous because it was about bee’s nest removal. It was not just about spraying some bee’s nest for the money. We called them. They came back out. They did a pretty haphazard job in cleaning it up. It still has pieces hanging in there and that was it. They came. They did half-a-job and they left. We just paid for the Deal. It was a discounted Deal, but I still want them to do it right. Do not charge me a cheap price and do such a bad job that I would have hired someone else to do it for full price.

Receptionist was gracious however company would not come and make an assessment and bid for a known and significant carpenter ant infestation in wall. They would either bill for visit and inspection or would not bill if work ordered to be done. In essence pay for no service or commit to full service; for a large and significant project its unreasonable for provider to charge to present their services.

Arrived at approximate time window and performed services. Seemed competent. First part went well. They were to return a week later to check traps and gave me a 2-hour window. I waited for two hours in the front driveway and never saw anyone show up. Paperwork indicated that they stopped by but no one was home. It was just a little frustrating to wait 2-hours for nothing. Not sure what happened. Low rating on punctuality is because of this last no-show. The people in the office called afterward and I explained. Office personnel were good at their job.

Carpenter ants and wasps are gone. Provider did a good job. Painless and convenient.

The office staff was very friendly and professional. I had called them directly after seeing them on Angies list and they had me schedule through Angies list so that I could take advantage of a big coupon. They showed up on time, were very professional and came back for a second treatment within the same price. They were able to assure me that the ants were not living in the house itself, but left me extra traps in case I saw any more. They also sent me a report after the follow up visit to make recommendations for how to deal with the ants in the future. much appreciated.

They came when they told us they would come and called ahead. They got right to work and very efficient and polite.

Fine, showed up on time, bugs appear to be gone. Offered warranty if they come back.

It went pretty well. They came back within a couple of weeks to check the traps. They were professional. They didn't try to sell me other services. The service would have been better if they had found an actual pest, but that was really out of their control. It was my first time using them. Price was average.

I bought the deal from Angie's List for ants. The company was very responsive... and I called to schedule the appointment.. I had only seen a few ants (new to me house) so I wanted to get on it right away. Service person came out and treated the outside of the house and then the inside. We scheduled the followup for two weeks later and the same serviceman came out for that. I thought that it was taken care of but nope. Within two weeks of the last treatment I find more hundreds of ants in my kitchen! Little black ones. I called the company and there is no warranty, no offer to retreat, just buy a maintenance contract "deal" that is $99 for two months. I paid nearly double that and it didn't last two weeks! The treatment didn't work. I paid for something that apparently won't work because of the weather? These ants come inside for water? Why wasn't I told this before or even during the "we'll take care of it" honeymoon? Don't be fooled... like I was. Find out ahead of time if they are offering a solution. I have no idea what I paid for. I feel that I was mislead. For whatever reason they and Angie didn't process the payment through Angie's List but instead went on my AMEX. I am very disappointed. I had used this company a couple of times over the past few years and was very satisfied.

My resident manager found dead bed bugs in a shared dryer in an apartment building. We called a lot of different companies and was surprised at how expensive treatment and inspections were. I appreciated that Stop Bugging Me even gave me a firm quote on the phone, some companies can't even tell you how much the inspection will cost until after they have done an inspection, that's like writing a blank check. I want to know up front what it will cost. I also chose them because they use the services of a inspector with a dog that is trained to sniff out the bugs, that seemed more reliable to me that just doing a visual inspection. I paid around $400 for 32 apartments to be inspected. They found bed bugs in 2 units and it was $500 per unit for treatment which included 2 visits. I had my tenants that needed the treatment call themselves to get information about how to prepare for the treatment. The support people who answer the phone are incredibly helpful in answering every question and sending out written information. The service tech that performed the treatment was professional. The only potential trouble spot was one of my tenants had a lot of stuff that he diligently bagged up as instructed. But when the tech treated his apartment the first time, he wasn't going to treat the contents of the bags, just the stuff that was out in the apartment? I'm not sure why because if there are bedbugs in the possessions in bags it will re-infect the apartment? Anyway, I said no the bags need to be treated. He called the office and they must have reinforced what I asked for because he did end up putting some chemical agent in the sealed bags. I didn't meet the tech that came back a couple weeks later for the follow up. But I am happy to report the bugs are gone. I would use them again because the experience went well and their pricing is reasonable, but I would be sure to have myself or a staff member onsite to make sure contents of bags get treated.

Ants disappeared as he said they would. We signed up for recurring service.

It went very well. The price was very good. They did the inspection very well. There was no reason for them to come back. I have nothing to compare it to though. They were very prompt. The worker was very pleasant.

They were professional, they came on time.

Technician was prompt, professional, and friendly. Even though the service purchased was external, he placed a couple internal traps for us. Will definitely use this company again.

This was a $189 big deal and it went okay. I liked the guy who came out. He was very knowledgeable and nice. To me, I did not really feel like it was worth the money. I felt the things they did were things I could easily do. I liked the technician, he was good. I had to end up getting a crawl space cleaner. They basically were just looking for me to sign up with them so they could put bait boxes out and I would pay them every month. That's what they were fishing for. I had to hire a different company to fix my problem. Basically all they do is come out and put rat traps outside your house. I could do that. They want to charge you $100 a month and that is pretty standard for the industry. I just can't believe that people expect me to pay $100 a month to do that.

It went fine. No rodents found, left traps in crawl space and now the source of intrusion is blocked from future invasion. They were very informative regarding this problem.

Kyle was great. Communicated well. Got the job done quickly. Was very friendly and professional.

No more ants in our basement since treatment. No rodent issues. Decided to take advantage of the bimonthly service after initial visit in September and recently had service in January.

This was a $189 big deal purchase. It was okay. They did not follow up. They came to my place and everything, but after that there was no follow up. I called them and there was no response. I had some questions after they came, but I got no response. There was additional cost. I think I paid $30 or $40 extra.

Kelly was the rep who came, and he couldn't have been better. He clearly cared about doing the job right, explained everything really well. Furthermore, he came back not just for the one follow-up but a total of three times at no extra charge. He sealed entrances and dealt with the couple of rats left in the house. Very happy with the professionalism of this service (he was also always punctual, which was a great bonus). We also contracted him (at modest extra cost) to remove soiled insulation from a storage area that had been used by the rats.

The guy came by a couple of times and he set some traps. I haven't heard back. I don't have any issues as such. The tenants contacted the company. There were no additional charges. They were not very proactive. They did not inform my tenants what else can be done to stop this. He just came and looked, and just left. They did not get a lot of information. There were no issues with their responsiveness.

We discovered evidence that rodents were in the attic again (rat feces). Kyle presented at my front door on time (8 am). He was very polite, professional in appearance and manner. On a cold rainy day, he cheerfully climbed into our attic and down into our crawlspace under the house, made a thorough check for possible access points, then set and baited rat traps. We discussed how to prevent future infestations. Kyle was very knowledgable and made some recommendations. He returned in 1 week to check the traps. Again, he was very timely and professional. Even though no rodents were caught (yet), he reviewed with me measures to take to block access points (small opening where dormer and roof come together, trim tree branches away from house, remove ivy from chimney). I was very happy with the service and would use them again.
