The work went extremely well Tim is articulate and very detailed oriented yet he takes the time to explain to you if you want it, what he’s doing, why he’s doing it, and in some cases how he’s doing it. We have used Tim’s services for over 10 years and always find him to be an excellent person to turn to when there’s a problem

It could not have gone better, considering that a failed hard drive is never fun. Tim Hannon at Soundsupport.biz lessened the pain considerably by being able to clearly diagnoze the problem and suggest smart steps to an efficient recovery. I don’t say this lightly, but Tim Hannon provided the best professional service we have ever had. That includes everything from plumbers to electricians and even includes the team that managed our house remodel. What we really appreciated about Tim was his careful and clear explanation of everything he did, and he pointed out the importance of backing up everything we do. Tim’s service is not inexpensive, but I say you get what you pay for.

Tim has been a fabulous support for me. I find he possesses an uncommon range of skills: he’s highly educated for the personal computer field, he has a rare ability to understand my laymen’s terms when I tell him what help I need and better yet, he explains things in plain-spoken English. No easy feat for a field which can be annoyingly complex.

EXCEPTIONAL! I have had Tim help me on three different occasions and I have couldn't be more pleased with the outcomes! Tim Hannon Is a consummate professional! Tim came to my home to help with some issues I was having after upgrading to Yosemite. He was very punctual and immediately asked what problems I was having and made a list. As he fixed each of the bugs he checked them off his list. He was very professional and extremely patient for I'm not a whiz with computers, and he never made me feel any of my questions were stupid. He went right to work and had both of my computers running perfectly.

Tim not only analyzed and diagnosed our problems, but was able to translate what was going on into language completely understandable for the non-techie. I can't say enough good things about Tim. He excels at translating technical terminology for the tech challenged. He was efficient and organized, staying on task with the items on my to do list and working quickly. He is a skilled teacher and was also willing to handle complicated tasks himself. Tim was not a bit thrown by the huge gaps in my understanding of computers and technical issues. As part of his service I receive emails with excellent tips for all things Apple. I feel much more secure and confident knowing Tim is available for technical support. He has my highest recommendation.

In spite of a long waiting list, Tim generously wedged me in very late on a Friday afternoon when I couldn't get my new Apple TV to work. He made sure everything was hooked up correctly, helped with installation and directions for a couple other appliances, and then even followed up with more tips via e-mail after our appointment. While I ended up having to exchange the Apple TV for a new one (that worked better), Tim's knowledge and persistent efforts got me positioned to enjoy the service, once it was working. Very knowledgeable and innovative!

It went very well. I live in Renton and he came over to my part of town and met me where it was convenient for me. He is very nice, professional, and provides excellent customer service. He is also patient! If I had issues with my MacBook again I would definitely go to him. And I would recommend him to my friends.

I contacted Tim because his business is primarily Macs or Apple products. I had bought an Airport Extreme but wasn't able to switch our computers over from the netgear router. Also wanted to be able to use our laser printer and understand levels of security. When I called, Tim requested the names/models of the various pieces of computer equipment I had and specifically what functions I wanted and needed. He summarized what my expectations were for his appointment, clarifying when I didn't know the correct terminology.
He was punctual, despite our street being blocked by construction vehicles. He looked at all the components and he explained what and why he was doing at every step (at my request). Our printer does not have wireless capability however it was able to be wired into the Airport Extreme. He explained that the iMac was too old to up date the operating system but still useable.
He explained the levels of internet security and summarized everything he did before leaving. I realized while he was here that I had several other questions or computer related issues and he was able to address those. We discussed purchase of a large volume scanner and being able to save that to an external hard drive. And he gave me an overview of setting up a website-design, hosting, etc.
He could have 'set up and wired' the equipment in much less time without having to explain what he was doing. However, I hired him so I could understand the network and how it functioned. He was a thoughtful and patient teacher, able to understand and reword my questions when I didn't know the correct terms to even use when asking a question.
I will definitely be hiring him again in the near future to set up our scanner and instruct me on how to save documents to an external hard drive. We have been working with Tim for at least three years and he has always been very professional in our interactions. He has a fast response time for urgent matters, is willing to work remotely as appropriate, and lets us know when there are things we can do ourselves to save money. He is very knowledgeable, listens well, and translates "computer-ese" into language that the lay person can understand. His invoices clearly indicate all services that he has performed. We have no hesitation to call him for any Mac-related issues.
