Description of Work: Called Pacific Lock and Key to change the lock on my mail box. He was at my door within an hour, changed the lock and was ready to go back to his shop within a half hour. Very professional and courteous. I would recommend this business to anyone.

Description of Work: Re-keying of all exterior doors, replacement of two faulty door handles. Came very early (7 AM) one weekday for emergency replacement of one faulty door handle. Returned (no charge) on a Sunday afternoon to re-fix the other faulty door handle, which wasn't fully fixed the first time. (It was a very old handle with old parts, and the serviceman used newer parts. The need for the re-fix didn't seem to me to be the fault of the serviceman. He had tried to fix the handle with the original parts the first time.)

Description of Work: I read all of the remarks made about various locksmiths. Pacific Lock and Key had many positive reviews. I can see why. Jerry was willing to come late in the day, or the next day. I chose the next day. He was here on time, had all equipment available, and easily re-keyed my front door, re-keyed my outdoor water heater door, and made copies of my mailbox key, house keys and hot water door key. All of the keys fit the doors and work beautifully. Jerry, did a great job, and I highly recommend him.

The gentleman who came to do the job pointed out that the front door was hung at a slight angle, which might account for the problems we had been having. He cleaned up completely after finishing. He was certainly polite, and I felt that the price was quite fair for the work done.
Description of Work: The locksmith replaced the door handle and deadbolt in the front door with ones we had previously purchased, adjusted the deadbolt at the back door as it was difficult to close, and rekeyed the basement door to match the others.

+ -1 moreI found the address to be misleading. The locksmith is in a small building in the parking lot near Fred Meyers. I had some trouble understanding the locksmith's speech (accent) but he was very courteous and professional. I also thought his fee was reasonable.
Description of Work: I had a small Sentry safe with a combination lock and a tubular key lock. I had misplaced the key to the tubular lock and had accidentally locked it. I took the safe to the locksmith and he was able to open the tubular lock. The safe was hard to open even with the correct combination but he managed to open it.

+ -1 moreTHE LOCKSMITH WAS WONDERFUL. HE TRIED EVERYTHING HE COULD TO NOT HAVE TO FORCE THE LOCK. UNFORTUNATELY, HE HAD TO USE OTHER MEANS AND OPENED THE TRUNK. HE ALSO EXPLAINED SOME LOCKS ON MY DOORS IN THE HOUSE TO ME AND DIDN'T TRY TO CHANGE THEM, TELLING ME THAT SOME LOCKS JUST WORK THE WAY THESE WERE INSTALLED.
Description of Work: I HAD A VERY OLD STEAMER TRUNK WHICH I HAD INSTRUCTED MOVERS NOT TO LOCK. THEY IGNORED MY REQUEST. LACKING A KEY TO OPEN THE TRUNK, I CONTACTED PACIFIC LOCK AND KEY. THEY FIRST TRIED TO OPEN IT WITH SOME KEYS THEY RECEIVED THAT DAY BUT FINALLY HAD TO USE ANOTHER TECHNIQUE.
