Michael's Landscaping-A Better Pruning

Started on one day and had to recruit some help.He came back with some help and completed the job,including clean up.

Michael came out I believe it was the same day I called to give an estimate. He did the stuff he had the tools onhand to do right that same day (cherry trees). Then a few days later he came out with one of his sons to cut the cypress. I was surprised because it was Memorial Day, but he wanted to get it done. He paid much attention to the overall balance of how the trees would look, and he had good knowledge about where to prune branches for the various kinds of trees and when to prune. He offered advice about how to maintain the trees. Importantly, he was very careful at one point when he had to go into a neighbor's yard to reach our trees growing over, to not harm my neighbor's dwarf maple tree and the other plants in her herbaceous border. Also, there is a sharp dropoff to another neighbor's yard, and Michael and his son were careful not to let branches fall onto that property (would have had to go around and ask the neighbor in order to get them). He was friendly and willing to do a little extra so the trees would look how he felt they should.

Mike was very professional and prompt in getting back to me with an estimate and was able to start the next day. Mike was great with suggestions and when he realized that my former landscaper had not planted the plants correctly (they were above the soil line) he replanted all the small plants and shrubs and they already look alot better. He had to do a tremendous amount of weeding and then placed bark over the whole yard. It really looks great and I would highly recommended him!

It went wonderfully. Michael came by on the day I called for an estimate. We walked through what I wanted to get done and he had a number of helpful suggestions. We agreed on a scope of work and prices for each item. The next day I told him that I wanted to go ahead with all the work we talked about. He started the following day and told me when he was working and when he would be finished. He completed everything we agreed to and finished on time. Michael was very congenial and conducted himself very professionally.

I called Michael for a bid to fix my yard after another company I was using did not respond to my requests, Michael gave me the bid which was exactly what I had written down detailing what I wanted done he started the next day and made sure that I was satisfeid every step of the way. He broke up the old patio hauled it away then spread top soil and leveled it. He spread moss killer and weed and feed. He called me several times during this whole week to keep me informed about the sod that would be put down next week. I came home to find him putting it down. He said that he was able to pick up some early. Overall the whole job went great. I have now hired Michael to take care of my yard from now on. If you need someone who cares about your concerns Michael is the one. Highly reccomended.

The hedges look great! They were ratty and beat up and now they look good.

Contacted Michael on a Tuesday and he was out to give an estimate that same day and was even able to begin work that day. He was punctual, hardworking, and extremely professional. He really cared about making the yard look its best and was great at communicating costs and checking in throughout the job to make sure work was progressing as expected. He took care of weeds by hand so that they were really pulled out. All pruning looked great and he was very good at pinpointing areas which needed attention. His identifying the problematic laurel and removing it made a huge and wonderful difference in the yard. He performed 110% above expectation. Will be hiring him again for fall clean-up.

Michael did a great job! He provided a bid first thing in the morning and was able to get the materials and the work done before I got home from work later that day! Saved me the two or so weekends it would have taken to get the work done! I will hire Michael again!

I called Michael early one afternoon. He remembered the prior job and gave me a reasonable estimate of the cost. He arrived later in the afternoon and pruned one tree before dark. He returned the next day and completed the work promptly and well. Michael is prompt, reasonable, friendly, trustworthy. Previously he pruned our overgrown laurel hedge; there too he did an excellent job at a reasonable price.

Great experience overall. Mike showed up quickly for a quote and provided the service later in the day. Prices were fair and straightforward. Very friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us exactly what we asked for. The trimming was done professionally, and he also did a great job cleaning up. He also gave me some great pointers for maintaining our yard and garden in future. I would highly recommend him and plan to use him again in the future.

Michael came over to see what needed to be done the same day I called and removed the trees the next day. He was very efficient and cleaned up all debris around the trees. I will definitely use him again if I have further landscaping needs.

Received quotation, gave okay to start, and all work completed in two days. All shrubs and trees were shaped exactly the way I described. Contractor said he would come back to reshape any shrubs to my satisfaction. All debris, limbs, clippings were removed and grounds were raked to clean appearance. Very happy with overall appearance of landscaped trees and yard around our home.

Michael did a good job cutting and edging our grass. He also did a good job with the bigger cleanup jobs.

Michael showed up the day after we agreed on the job. I was at work and came home to find the job finished. Michael obviously knows pruning and made my hedge look great! I'd hire him again for any pruning or landscaping.

Michael was very responsive from my initial email. He was able to stop by the property after we discussed the work to be done over the phone and provide an initial estimate. We then scheduled a meeting time to discuss the work in detail and he was able to start right away. Michael completed the job very quickly taking care of all the items we discussed. He was great to work with and I will certainly hire him again the next time I need my trees trimmed.

You can believe the A reports listed here--I am very impressed with his level of service, quality, and professionalism. I called Michael and the next day exactly on time he came and did an itemized written estimate of the work required. He was good in telling me what he could do within our HOA's limited budget, and started the work the next day. The work was completed as promised, and then some as far as I'm concerned. Michael also gave me some tips on what our HOA could do with the work we had left to do (but no budget with which to have him do it--rats!) He cleaned up all the yard waste, cleared the paths and ensured that there was nothing left in our neighbor's yards (where some of our overgrowth had occured.) When the final bill was presented, it was as estimated. I am very impressed with Michael's work, and we will be having him out in the autumn to do a pre-winter pruning and yard clean-up. He was also friendly and personable--no black marks at all in my book.

Michael did a great job once again. Our Cherry Tree was on it's last leg and badly needed to be removed. He showed one afternoon just to check in on my house/yard and asked if he could assist in any way. I mentioned the tree. He had it removed by the next afternoon. Very fast, efficient, and cost conscience. AS an added bonus, he spread some new bark as a bonus. Thanks Michael!

Don't bother considering this guy if you live more than 5 miles from his address.

I had badly neglected my yard since last summer. I have several hedges which had grown way out of control. One was getting close to the wires coming from the street to my house. Michael returned my phone call promptly and was able to visit my place and give me an estimate the same day. He started work immediately upon my acceptance of his estimate. He does professional work and cleans up every job. The week we scheduled the work, the weather was not cooperative. Most days we received several heavy rain showers thruout the day. This did not impede the quality of the work in any way. The front sidewalk and cement driveway has several cracks, allowing grass and weeds to grow thru. It was quite unsitely. After Michael pressure washed the entire area, it looks much cleaner and neater. Michael gave me great suggestions on how to keep the weeds in check. There are some smaller shrubs in the front that were growing out into the sidewalk area. Michael pruned them back and gave some "street appeal" back to the house! Overall I am very pleased with all aspects of the services provided. I will definitely get in contact with Michael for future projects and routine maintenance of the hedges and landscaping.

I email Michael from Angies list. He called me back later that night leaving a message and called again the following morning. He agreed to meet me at the house that evening and review the job. He gave me a detailed estimate of the charges, and agreed to start right of way. The next day he was at the house working on removing the dead tree, he subcontracted a tree removal company, and clearing the side year. Over the next 3 days he continued to work on the yard. He was concerned about my neighbors and asking them for permission to work from their yards. Michael was very friendly and easy to work with. He made sure I was happy with the work he was doing and cleaned up a few extra items for no cost to me. He also offered some advise for me on some work I could be myself. He was very concerned about his Angie's List report and told me about some of the bad reports he had received. Overall, was a pleasure to work with. He accomplished what I expected in the time he thought it would take, at a reasonable cost.

Michael was great. One afternoon as he was working close to my house, he called me to ask since he was in the neighborhood, if I had anything he could take care of. As a matter of fact I did have a tree that was unfortunately diseased and needed to be removed. By the time I returned home from work, he had the tree removed andd all the debris cleaned up, like they were never there. I appreciate all the hard work and the way he treats his customers. A+

I left a telephone message for Michael and he returned my call within a couple of hours. I described the work that I wanted done. He came by the next day and gave me an estimate that itemized the cost of each task which I really appreciated. He presented me with options for dealing with some stressed plants and ideas for the landscaping in general. l liked his suggestions and never felt pressured to agree to any additional work. He was able to work a couple of hours that day (Saturday) and returned on Monday to finish up. Michael works very hard and in this situation, by himself. I was amazed at how much he accomplished in such a short time. He is very personable, honest, and reliable. I plan to have him return in the fall. I believe that I got more than my money's worth. Michael is very reasonable.
