Due to obstructions, they had to hand dig a 8 foot deep hole in order to access the sewer line. They did not damage the retaining wall and left the landscaping in good order when finished. They promptly responded to my request to change the sewer clean out from below grade to above grade at no extra charge.

I've had a number of plumbing and sewer related problems with my 105 year old house over the past few years and this was the best experience I have had by far. After being told by a different company that my sewer line was failing and needed to be replaced urgently at a cost of approximately $20,000, I hired Hydrophysics, an independent sewer inspector, for an assessment. I learned that the line was not failing, but that I did need a larger cleanout point to clear roots and rocks from the line. They gave me a list of companies who could perform the work, including Metropolitan Sewer. The estimate came in $1000 under the cost I had previously paid another company to dig and repair the same section of pipe and the results are clearly superior. Metropolitan was professional, on-time, and on budget. I also had Metropolitan bid separately on replacing a section of sewer line that connects my sink line to the main side sewer. The repairs ended up being simpler than we originally thought and the total bill for these repairs was $2000 less than the accepted bid. Needless to say, I was extremely pleased. Metropolitan Sewer was fantastic in every aspect of my job.

As far as we know everything is working great. They were nice people to work with. I thought the verbal estimate was lower than the bill, but they did give us a senior discount. The office staff was on top of things. We had a good experience.

They came out promptly and found the problem. They got really busy with other jobs and left us hanging for quite some time. When we got the communication going. They were fair with their pricing. They got other jobs that they completed before us. Once we were restored, the service was great. The office manager was trying and made every effort to get the communication going. The guys just never returned the call. I received the cell phone number and was able to reach them from that point.

He came on time and told me I didn't need to do a fix. He really thought what was done was fine and to save my money. It was a refreshing change to hear that.

Parnell Downey came out to bid the job. Parnell was on time, polite, and knowledgeable. We agreed on a price and a time do do the work. On the appointed day, Parnell's crew got hung up on an earlier job, but Parnell called ahead of time and let me know about the delay. When Jason and his crew showed up, they demoed a portion of our concrete slab, excavated the area, then replaced the broken sewer pipe. After the work was done, we had to wait for the required inspection. During this period, Jason and his crew placed the yucky soil under a tarp and throughly cleaning the area around the repair hole even though it would get dirty again when they finished the job after the required inspection. They also roped off the work area so that my family could not get near the hole. After the inspection, Jason and his crew were there within an hour or two to complete the job and re-pour our slab. They also camerated the rest of our sewer line, discovered a blockage, and removed it.
