Excel Home Painting just completed painting the exterior of our house. From start to finish, my experience with Excel Home Painting was nothing but professional and seamless. From my estimate with Ryan, to coordination with project manager, David, no detail was missed and no question was left unanswered. I had a lot silly questions and even remained unsure of colors until the last possible minute, and the entire team was patient and helpful. The painting crew, Ken and Beau, as well as power washer Matt, are extremely skilled and knowledgable. They were organized, clean and respectful. They even finished the project in three days rather than the originally scheduled four! There were no surprises, challenges or delays at amy point. Additionally, I found a 10% off coupon after the work was complete and they were more than willing to take the appropriate amount off of the final invoice. I am thrilled with the results. I would not hesitate to call Excel again or refer them to anyone.

First time I ever hired a painter, always did it myself, but I'm older now and disabled so I hired Excel after getting about 7 bids, they were not the lowest, but I liked their plan. Great prep work, attention to detail, and crew was early and stayed late. I was surprised, they finished in 2.5 days, and did a perfect job. Always cleaned up daily, fixed problem with water getting in ceiling from pressure washing, thu a vent. They repainted the ceiling affected. I told my friends about them, everyone loves our new house. Couldn't be happier. I also used the 10% coupon on Angie's list. They gladly accepted.

It went very well. Sam D was the Crew Leader for the job and was very punctual, professional and courteous. His painting was excellent, as contracted, and with attention to detail. Sam was mindful of our garden, very tidy and went the extra mile to ensure the work was to our liking/met our approval.

We had four bids for exterior painting. Not only did Excel provide the lowest bid, but I came away with a great feeling about the company after the bid process with Ryan. He was very thorough and provided a quick turnaround on a very professional looking bid. After I signed off on the bid, David called and let me know he would be the project manager. He was great to work with and very responsive. The finished result was amazing, and it gave our rectangular box of a house some much needed street appeal. After the project, I did a complete walk through with Sam and just found a couple of very minor things that he took care of. They also cleaned up so well after the project that you never knew they were here.

David came out to our house to do the quote and was very professional and thorough. Solid quote showing all of the line items so we could understand where the costs were coming from Clearly explained the process. During the process we did call David a few times to make sure certain repairs and touch ups would be done. He actually drove out to our house to listen to our concerns and see the progress and explain where the team was in the process and made sure that our concerns were addressed. We are extremely pleased with the outcome - although our home is over 90 years old, where Excel painted it looks brand new. We feel confident that our house is well sealed from the weather and will remain in good condition for several years. We are still getting compliments from our neighbors - they (and we) are so impressed with the quality! We will call David back when it's time to do the rest of the house and garage.

Ryan came to measure & discuss our project. He was professional and emailed a very detailed proposal the next day. The surface was prepared by pressure washing, caulking joints, and masking windows & doors. The operations manager and crew leader were courteous and quick to respond to my questions or concerns. The painting team worked hard & cleaned up the site everyday. Our project was completed on time at the estimated cost. Everything went well throughout this process and we are very pleased with the results.

This company is extremely easy to work with--very customer focused low-stress approach. they realize they are coming into your home and painting while you are living there, so they act professionally and courteously, trying to respect your space and your possessions while getting the job done quickly. We don't have a lot of experience with painting contractors, but Excel was easy to work with from beginning to end. We decided to add to the items we originally agreed to paint, they processed a change order seamlessly. David, the Operations Manager was east to get a hold of when I had questions, and Nain was our crew leader. I have never seen a crew work as hard and efficiently as his. So it was a smooth, no-hassle experience and the paint job looks great!

This company tries to make the painting experience as smooth as possible. They communicate with one another and everyone is on the same page. Our project was complicated by two issues. One was the weather. The project was scheduled for 4 days, but because of on and off again showery weather for the entire period of time, it lasted more than twice that. No one's fault, but it interrupted the rhythm because every time it looked like the sky would clear, the rain came in again. Second, the fascia boards had a sprayed on stucco like substance that was extremely difficult to remove. Even after using a stripping chemical, the boards still showed traces of that gunk, though it does not mar what is a very attractive paint job. Throughout the process of dealing with the unexpected delays and the fascia board issue, David, the Operations Manager maintained superb communications and a professional approach. This crew, led by Eric, aimed to please, and they were not happy until we were 100% pleased with the work. The new paint job makes our house look total different from the outside and it has garnered numerous compliments from our neighbors.

Overall experience has been excellent! From the scheduling to the estimate to the final agreement has been smooth and simple. We are in the process of locking down the date to get our house painted but so far we are extremely satisfied choosing Excel to paint our house.

The thing that stands out most to me about my experience with Excel is their incredible professionalism throughout and even after the job was done. I called for a bid based on the great reviews the company had received on both Yelp and Angie's List. We were able to schedule the estimate a few days later. Ryan showed up right on time and had an estimate to me by the end of the day as promised. The estimate was extremely detailed and thorough. I had two other bids for the project - the pricing was similar across all 3 firms. I ended up going with Excel based on the strong reviews and highly detailed bid. Once I selected Excel, I worked with David to schedule the job. Again, Excel was great about working within my timeline (I wanted to have the painting complete prior to moving in). Henry and the crew showed up at 8:30 on the dot the day the job was scheduled to begin and wrapped up in 3 days. Afterwards, I noticed a few very minor issues (a few small missed spots) - again, David & Henry were very responsive and were happy to come out and remedy any issues I had with the work (no matter how small). I would happily recommend Excel to my friends and family and would consider them for future projects.

I had Excel paint my 1915 craftsman home in Green Lake last summer and am still really happy with the work that they did and the service provided. It was a difficult job and lead based paint that was peeling in areas, so I wanted to make sure that I went with a company that knew how to handle this, which they most certainly did. What was most impressive to me was that Ryan runs his painting business like a business. We had our interior painted by a contractor a few years ago and, while the painting was good, they lacked professionalism. Professionalism wasn't lacking with Excel because of the scheduling, bid process, communication, etc. etc. etc.... The estimate was scheduled professionally and conducted in a really thoughtful manner (lots of good, probing questions and really smart answers to our questions). The proposal that Ryan sent was incredibly detailed and left us really comfortable with what was going to be done. The painting crew (Henry et al) were awesome! They were on time every day, cleaned up perfectly at the end of the workday, and communicated with us on a regular basis. He was so friendly and helpful (he even brought our garbage can out to the street one morning when we had forgotten to do so!). OK, so the biggest thing is the work that was done, right? Yeah, that was awesome. It really needed to be painted and looked awful so I was unsure that it would even look good.... it was perfect. Clean lines, TONS of prep work. Definitely would use them again. We have tried the low bid thing before on our interior and the amount we saved wasn't worth the amount of time we spent dealing with the "contractor."

The overall experience was very positive from start to finish. We had previously had some interior painting done by a small two-man operation which, while satisfactory, required much more hands-on supervision by us. The Excel crew was efficient, respectful of our property and very knowledgable. They quietly went about their business and finished within the time frame they had provided at the start of the job. We had some ceiling repair work that added a slight complication and required a return visit by the crew on day 2, which was not anticipated at the start of the job. The change order for the additional work required was very reasonable and we will definitely be using Excel for any future painting projects.

They were very clean and efficient and would recommend them!

The quality of the work was excellent. We had some communication problems - too many different people to communicate with to get things settled. Their bid was high, but I wasn't the only one making the decision on who we would hire to do the work. The duplex does look good. The painters did an excellent job. I marked "No" on hiring them in the future because "maybe" isn't an option. I would have to see how the communication went on the bidding process before I could say that I would definitely use Excel again.

Our house most definitely needed painting from top to bottom. We interviewed and got estimates from 7 different companies that we found through Angie's list. We narrowed our selection down to 3 after we had interviewed and talked with each of the 7. It was extremely difficult to make our final choice because all 3 companies were so close in cost, references, and details of the job. The reason we decided to go with Excel was mainly due to everyones' professionalism. From the very first meeting with Ryan Barr till Chris put the final coat of paint on my beautiful red front door, no one could have been any more professional. We were very much dreading this whole project . The house sits on an odd steep slope with app. 3 ft on each side of the house. It just seemed like an enormous task to undertake. Everything that we thought might be a problem turned out to be something they could handle. The entire job was completed without any major or minor problems. Every single person that was here was courteous, polite, and hard working. Everyday, we were reassured that if we had any concerns about anything to just let someone know. Someone was always calling to see if things were going well or if we had any questions. So, I'd say the communication and the professionalism were exemplary, not to mention the great paint job they did. Chris went around the entire house with us after they were finished and we inspected every little nook and cranny to see what needed touch-ups. Chris said that if we see something we missed during our walk aorund that they would just send someone out to take care of it, and I believe they would. We honestly coud not be happier with the job that Excel did on our house. It looks the best it has ever looked! We have already had one neighbor hire them to paint their house and they too are quite happy.

Ryan and Dennis met with me at our house to hear my concerns. It was a very professional meeting and educational for both parties. They agreed with some of the items I noted and will come back in the spring to complete them. This was unexpected and very much appreciated.

Ryan (owner) walked site with us, discussed options, provided prompt estimate, met our special requests. Getting multiple bids yielded considerable helpful info, that we applied with Excel. David managed the project. Eric was on-site team lead. House thoroughly prepped, masked, caulked as needed, painting done neatly, no overpainting, no spills, no trash left, everyone polite, a pleasure to have working for us. Pressure-washing could have been done more carefully. This older house has many 12-14 ft hi window walls, and excessive pressure caused some infiltration. We caught that and stopped the work, but pressure-washer should have been alert to a possible problem and averted the issue himself. He didn't seem to care. If we hadn't noticed, he would have continued on. Gladly recommend Excel. Would certainly use Excel again (but we'd be more cautious about the pressure-washing).

their bid was clear and written and presented well. They answered all questions. The job was performed in a timely manner and on schedule. Over all it was a good experience. Our house looks great.

The work started with pressure washing. The person arrived at the time specified and performed the work in a very careful manner, taking care not to damage the windows or cause any problems with siding or soffits. Since we were still deciding about colors, we asked to have three sample color combinations painted on the side of the house after the pressure washing was completed. This helped us considerably in making a final decision. We received a final confirmation from David of the start date and ten days later a crew of three arrived at our house at the appointed time. They went over the process in detail with us so we knew what to expect each day. Eric, the crew leader, answered all of our questions about logistics and he and his crew, began the preparation work. This included covering windows and doors, laying plastic down to contain paint chips during the scraping process, and nailing loose siding. Again, extra care was taken to assure that the windows were not damaged in this process. The primer was applied and was followed by two coats of the exterior color. Much attention was given to the masking process and all of our plants and exterior light fixtures were completely protected. Clean-up was done at the end of each day and we experienced very little disruption during the process. Eric and his crew were very respectful of our property at all times. The neighbors (some of whom were at home during the painting) appreciated that the crew did not play music, make excess noice, and litter the surrounding area. We received several reports on how careful they were in the masking process and minimizing noise and dust for the neighbors. We give Excell a top rating and would definitely use them again. Since the painting, we have received numerous compliments about how nice our house looks from people passing by our street.

I could tell right away that Ryan aimed to please. When I expressed my concerns that waiting till summer to paint would be difficult because of garden foliage near the house, he made sure to get me on the schedule as early as possible. He was very accommodating to my several special requests. David was completely on top of scheduling, and in constant contact to make sure I was up to date with the start date, which was very much spring weather dependent. Eric and his crew were motivated, enthusiastic, and did a really professional job. They cleaned up after themselves every step of the way. The resulting paint job is beautiful! Even Rob in billing was polite and professional. I highly recommend Excel Home Painting!

Excel Home painting surpassed my expectations! I had a beautiful, fairly new kitchen with heavily grained oak cabinets. The cabinets were custom built and designed by the former owner, and just not my style. I decided to have them painted white,which if you know anything about oak is quite a feat. I did my research and interviewed several companies on Angie's list, selecting Excel Home painting.I was given an estimate, and a free sample of a door they painted to be used as a benchmark for the work. David Knowler was the Project Manager and did an exceptional job of keeping me informed, taping off the area, and was consistently on time and on schedule. I have never experienced such professionalism from a contractor as I did Excel and David. The paint fumes were strong, and we vacated the house for a period of time in order to expedite the completion of the job. David was in constant touch with updates throughout the whole process. There was also a slight accident, where one of my oven doors was broken while sliding it out to tape. David assured me it would be replaced- The oven was an expensive double oven, purchased a few years prior, and I got a good price because it was discontinued...so I was slightly worried but confident David would find a way. As it turned out, there were no spare parts anywhere, and as he explored options, he actually found an oven that was for sale by the owner in Florida, and he managed to talk the owner into purchasing the whole double oven, but just just sending the oven door and keeping the rest. In no time I had a beautiful brand new kitchen a a perfect double oven with all doors intact. I was very impressed with the company and the work, each painter was courteous and respectful of my home, cleaning up daily. I also had them paint my front porch in AUgust, and they did an exceptional job and gave me a great price. If you have painting needs, this is the company to choose, you will be more than satisfied!

We had compared the prices of several others and I think that they were somewhat in the middle. The quality of painting was good for most part of the job except for the deck. They were on time most of the time.

Excel was excellent from bid (very detailed quote with photos and complete detail on scope of work) through completion of the project. I was especially impressed with their attention to detail and kudos to the onsite team that made suggestions on a few areas of the house that needed additional care. It made a huge difference on the final appearance of our house. In addition we received compliments from our neighbors (clean work site, quite crew, etc.). That speaks quite a bit on the level of professionalism they have on the project. I will definitely use Excel for future painting projects!

Excellent! The painting process was done in less than a week and the communication from the start date /project itself was good. The painters showed up promptly each day and were careful with surrounding plants, decks, etc. They cleaned up their area daily and were polite.

Ryan was very professional when he came and gave us a bid for the work. He was very thorough in evaluating the condition of the house and making recommendations of the work that needed to be performed. The bid was extremely detailed and left no questions about what would happen and what we could expect. The paint crew was very good. The cleaned up every day, to the point that you couldn't really tell they had been working. Chris was very good about checking in each day and giving us status updates as well as answering questions and concerns. Any time we had questions and at the walkthough, the crew made sure that each item was addressed to our satisfaction. Each one of the crew were professional and did a good job. The final outcome looks great! We couldn't be happier with the results of our job.
