He took care of permitting and lead abatement; and his dust containment methods were more thorough than those of his competitors. Highly recommend Matt if you are looking to retrofit your house. His work is of the highest quality, he tailors his services to your needs, his fees are competitive, and he was excellent to work with. As a quick background, I work as an architect, so I'm familiar with building trades and permitting in Seattle, and Matt has got this thing figured out. If your house is on a CMU foundation, especially, Matt is your guy. There's a good way and a bad way of retrofitting CMU foundation walls, and Evergreen Seismic is one of the only shops in town with the capability to do it the right way. Matt takes the time to understand your needs, and can customize his approach to save you money and hassle whenever possible. Very happy with the quality of his work, I don't think you could do any better than to go with Evergreen Seismic for your retrofit.

Matt did an extraordinary job on my retrofit. He was patient, on time and got the job done early. We got estimates from a lot of leading companies in the area and he gave a competitive quote. He was also very good at explaining the project and answering questions. I would highly recommend him!

We had an excellent experience working with Evergreen Seismic. In exploring the project we received several estimates from local retrofit companies. We chose Evergreen Seismic because of Matt's (the owner) ability to assess our home, thoroughly answer our questions and fully explain the process. During the 5 days of the project Matt and his assistant frequently communicated with us about their progress. To avoid tearing apart our finished basement Matt proposed removing siding and doing the work from the outside (except for our unfinished garage). We were so impressed with how well the project unfolded. Matt seems to really care about the quality of his work and about his customers -- during the project he even fixed an issue with our fence that we'd had for years (this was not a part of our contract but we really appreciated it). We highly recommend Evergreen Seismic if you seek a high quality, thorough and caring company.

I would highly recommend Matt and his crew for your retrofit job. He is professional, honest and on time. He provided us with an estimate and said even if he needed to go over the amount estimated that he wouldn't charge us more, and he kept to his word. I met Matt at a public earthquake retrofit class. Matt came out to my house (circa 1928) and immediately struck me as knowledgeable, conscientious and a good listener. He was also cautious in the way that you would like given his line of work. While my initial retrofit plans have been postponed, I will not hesitate to call Matt when I'm ready to proceed in the latter part of 2019.

I normally don't take the time to write reviews but I wanted to write one for Matt of Evergreen Seismic. Matt was a pleasure to deal with. He was very knowledgable on the subject and took the time to explain the process of earthquake retrofit and what exactly is involved. I tend to ask a lot of questions and he was very patient and made sure my questions were answered. I thought the pricing was very competitive and the work was top notch. Matt struck me as a perfectionist even down to making sure the dust was contained and the job site was left clean. I would definitely recommend giving Evergreen Seismic a call if you are considering retrofitting your home. I have a lot more piece of mind after finally getting this done.
