There were additional fees of about $7,000 because they painted our entire basement. I think the cost was reasonable for the work that they did. They are very polite and conscientious workers who are easy to work with. For two days, there were two people on the job and for four days there were three people on the job. They cleaned up well after the work was complete. They were always on time each easy. They were very easy to work with, polite, considerate and responsive to my suggestions. It turned out really good.

They came out to give us an estimate. We expanded the scope of the work that needed to be done so he re-evaluated it based off their regular rates. When we received the updated estimate, the rates became significantly higher so we ended up going with a different provider for the work.

Mr. Bjornsson was cordial, on-time for his estimate and explained things well. I was just taken aback a bit by the final quote, which was higher than I was expecting for a "deal."

If you want excellent quality and the voice of experience to help guide you through the process of what types of paint, finish, and color to best achieve your goals, choose Bjornsson Painting. Admittedly, Bjornsson Painting had the highest quote of the three painting outfits I chose to estimate the project. However, they were the most knowledgeable about materials and didn?t require subcontracting for patching and repairs but were able to complete the work the fastest, while not compromising quality. My main painting goal was to change my existing honey oak cabinets to white. I was very apprehensive about doing so because I was told that it is a difficult process, the wood grain would show through, and that the paint chips easily. The other painters I interviewed seemed almost to dissuade me from this project because of the level of difficultly and the unpleasant paint fumes, in addition to taking a long time to complete (one quote was at least two weeks). While the paint fumes were unpleasant, there was only one day that was really uncomfortable. Furthermore, it only took Einar four days to complete the (very large) kitchen. While it is true that the cabinetry wood grain does show through somewhat, I like the look. It would especially be appealing in a more rustic décor; however, I have more of a neo-classical theme for my home, and it still looks gorgeous. Einar was able to track down a honey oak cabinet door to show me what the finished project would look like before he started. The cabinets were primed and patched and he added a catalyzer was added to the paint to act as a hardener. Basically, he made it so the paint has a new, factory-like finish. It is durable and I anticipate that it will hold up well under the test of time. In addition to painting the kitchen cabinetry, I contracted Bjornsson Painting to paint my living room (with vaulted ceilings), dining room and office (including wainscot), downstairs ceilings, and upstairs hall and ceiling. This was not an easy paint project because I have very high ceilings in the living and entryway. I had some patching to do and this also was not a problem for Einar and his team (whereas other painters told me to first hire a handyman to patch these areas). He even came back after the job was completed and installed weather stripping on my front door (that he picked up for me at the hardware store). Einar, Blanca, and Alfonso showed up on time, were courteous, cleaned up after themselves daily, and tried their best to be as unobtrusive as possible. These people take pride in their work; they want to do not a good job, but an excellent one. They want you to be happy with the finished work, and it shows. I will definitely hire Bjornsson Painting again for future needs and enthusiastically refer him to my friends.

Went well. The estimate proved to be more than the deal, because there were more hours involved, but it would have cost a lot more without it. 3 painters for 5 days. On time, well done, carefully, with attention to detail and good results all around. First class people led by a hands on owner.

It was a complete pleasure working with Einar, Derek and Alfonso. They were friendly, efficient, and very highly skilled. I intend to have them back to do the rest of my house.

Still, it does seem like more than a coincidence. Now have to call electrician to see exactly what is wrong.

Einar Bjornsson came to our house a few weeks before the painting was to begin. We went over what was to be painted and the colors we had chosen. He was very professional and discussed all the details with us so we knew what to expect since the job required about 7 day's work. He and his team of painters arrived at the discussed time and took over. They removed wall hangings, moved furniture, taped everything that needed taping as well as cover the floors with paper and/or tarps. His team could not have been nicer or more cooperative. They gladly went along with a couple of changes I made. They put all the furniture back where it belonged. Except for getting our house back in order, we hated to see them leave. I would recommend Bjornsson Painting to anyone who wants an honest, hardworking and excellent painting company.

We paid much more than the big deal. He was here for 6 and half days to paint the entire interior of our home.We were very pleased with this company. We liked him and his crew very much. They were very friendly, accommodating and very professional. They paid great attention to detail. I would certainly recommend this company. The job was great. The job was excellent. It was worth the money. It gives you a confident feeling that he knows what he doing.

Had a helpful consultation prior to work. Einar was informative, measured scope of project and recommended type and amount of paint. We set up a date for the project. Einar called to let me know they were available to come earlier in the week then scheduled if possible. Einar and 3 men showed up at 8:00 on time. They were all very nice and professional. They prepped the walls and painted one coat before leaving for the day around 3. A second coat was applied the next day and the job was completed. The painting was well done and everything was cleaned up. Quick and professional. I did have a few extra gallons of paint left over.

Einer, the owner of the company, came to review the work required to complete our painting project on December 9. We purchased the deal in mid-November but were not contacted by phone until 2 weeks later. We really liked the efficient and professional way in which Einer communicated with us and we are looking forward to having his crew painting our home in early February. We wound up having just over 80 hours of work, so we will pay him his regular hourly rate of $55 to complete everything. I will update once they have finished the painting in February. **UPDATE: We had Einer and his crew out the first week of February to paint ceilings in our living, dining and playroom, as well as three bedrooms. In addition, they painted the tv room and office in our basement and did extensive work caulking, cleaning and staining three wood beams that span our entire living room ceiling. I was most impressed with how good they were about showing up on time every day as well as how they picked up so we could still use the rooms as best as possible. That's important with two younger kids at home! We liked that they communicated with us during the entire project, asking questions as they came up rather than waiting until after the fact to point something out. We genuinely felt they were honest and professional, and I would not hesitate to recommend their company to others looking for a painter. We enjoyed working with them so much, it is doubtful I will paint an entire room again!

Bjornsson Painting provided two painters for 8 hours at a cost of $599. I normally do my own painting, but I used Bjornsson to paint the living room and stairway walls which are very high and difficult for me to reach because I lack the necessary equipment. The painters were very careful and did an excellent job! I would highly recommend this company and may use them again in the future.

Unfortunately we did not use his company this time as we accepted another proposal from Angie's List that gave us a better competitive quote.

They did a very good job. In fact, we just purchased them again to do some more work. We spent more because the job was slightly bigger than the "Big Deal" allowed. they were very prompt and professional. They did a very nice job. We just signed them up to pain a couple of more rooms.

jThey visited us to view the work to be done and provided an estimate and schedule. On the day of the work, two painters arrived and arranged furniture. prepped the surface, painted, and cleaned up. The furniture was replaced. The second day one painter finished the job in the remaining room and moved the furniture back with my help. They were fast, thorough, and, best of all, they were neat. I have no hesitation about recommended Bjornsson Paining to anyone. When we do the remaining two rooms, we plan to call on them.

Einar & Jeremy were fantastic. We have recently moved and neither one of us confirmed addresses for the work!!! So I was thinking this project was doomed. However, once I'd realized the mistake, I called and Einar said his guys were on a different job that day, but he'd be their the very next day. Sure enough, he arrived the next day and did a fantastic job. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a painter. I was impressed with the work, all millwork was taped all furniture covered and left totally cleaned up the moment the job was done.

Two young men showed up on time, very courteous, friendly. They began the work at the requested time and worked very fast. They did a good job.

While the owner was punctual, courteous and everything pleasant, the quote was unreasonably high. It was well over twice what we ended up paying another "A" rated angie's list company. The bid he gave was $13850 for all the work, and we got all the same work done for $5200. If you're looking for something reasonable and not too pricey, I'd skip this one. But if you have a very flexible budget, then ignore this review.. they may be the best out there at high-end stuff, I wouldn't know :)

Bjornsson Painting came in and saved the day. They were fast, clean, precise, competitively priced, and pleasant to work with. His team was very clean and every night would not leave a mess. I always worry about workers getting all up in my space but their team was the perfect balance between friendly and not too annoying. That is hard to find! Our house looks transformed, we have great looking interior and exterior colors, and we are still married! We could not have done it without Bjornsson Painting Company. 5 stars, baby. You gotta use them!

Einar and crew were very punctual and kept a clean environment while the job was in process. I felt the pricing was very fair after having several companies come out to bid the job. I selected Bjornsson Painting after following up on references and because of the absolute attention to detail through the bidding process. Einar was very willing to answer any questions I had through the process and answered in a thorough and timely manner. Einar and crew were very aware of the fact that this is my home and kept the areas they were working in as clean as can be expected while the job was underway . Einar even helped me with some color decisions which turned out to look incredible! They stayed on schedule throughout the job and finished before the initial time frame given which was a pleasant surprise. I was thrilled with the overall result! My condo has never looked better! Einar was prompt in setting up initial meeting to get a bid for the job, willingly answered questions and offered recommendations about the work to be done and products to be used. The painting proposal he provided was detailed, outlining extensive cleaning, scraping & sanding, caulking and sealing, priming, and then 2 coats of paint to siding, trim, and doors. He specified only premium paints and products for the job. While not the highest of the bids we got, we did get several that were significantly lower, but none of the lower bids provided as much detail, nor did they include 2 coats after priming. Several areas of rot were discovered during the prep process which required hiring a contractor for repairs before painting could be completed (cost for repairs not included here). Despite the delays and complications to scheduling that this caused, Einar and his crew adapted their schedule as needed and came back and got the painting finished as soon as the repairs were done. His crew was professional and punctual, and Einar himself was frequently on site and communicated well. They did a good job of keeping things tidy as they worked and managed to work around trees and plantings that I thought would be impossible! The finished job looks great and I highly recommend Bjornsson Painting for quality work and attention to detail.

THE COMPANY CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY WORKED EFFICIENTLY. THEY PUT IN A FULL DAY OF WORK AND CLEANED UP THOROUGHLY. HE EVEN GAVE US AN ESTIMATE TO CLEAN AND RE-STAIN OUR DECK, BUT TOLD US HOW TO DO IT, BECAUSE WE WERE SHORT ON FUNDS AND COULD ONLY AFFORD FOR HIM TO PAINT THE TRIM.
