Description of Work: I paid $99 for the structural engineer to come evaluate some sinking of my foundation. Afterward he wrote up an estimate for $30,000 that didn't really deal with our specific problem, but instead seemed to be selling their specific product (push piers) that would completely redo all of our foundation. I've since had two other companies come out who actually wrote up estimates that would fix our specific problem.

Description of Work: I'm torn on this. An engineer came out and did a thorough analysis. But the follow up was exceedingly bad. I got a proposal that I couldn't use, and when I asked for clarification, I was not able to get it. The communication was so bad that I just bailed entirely on the job and am seeking someone else.

Description of Work: They installed two pier pins in our crawl space to stabilize our house's foundation. They also leveled our front porch and part of our garage floor. We do not know if the price is considered high for the work done, but it was pricey for us. Still, we believe we needed to have the work done, even for that price.

Please keep in mind that our company does things by the book so we pay for bumper-to-bumper bond and insurance that covers you as a home owner as well as L&I premiums that are some of the highest in the country. What might seem as a minor job to some, can actually require a lot of work and, as an engineering firm, we are in the best position to know whether the job will take long time or will be complicated to install. Moreover, we also need to pay a living wage to our employees who work outside, in the heat or cold, digging or lifting heavy items. We keep our employees and customers satisfied because we don't cut corners and have several engineers on staff who monitor installation process for quality. Please feel free to call us directly if you want proceed with work. We accept credit cards and offer no-money-down financing so that everyone can afford to stabilize their home foundation.
