We were building a new home and part of that process was to have a complete septic system installed. "Bagwell Excavating" was a company that our builder used in the past and we did not have any experience or knowledge of other installers, so we accepted Bagwell to do our Septic System. He was hired by us and paid directly by us. The system was installed early on in the building process and the electrical control panel was not hooked up until months later after permanent power was turned on. We did not move into the home until September of 2011. The first night sleeping in the home we noticed an alarm that would go off at all hours of the night at the control panel box of the septic system. I called Steve Bagwell to explain the alarm problem and he was not very helpful at all and acted like he did not want to be bothered with it. I told him I would wait another night or two and see if it continued to do it and if it did I would call him back. It did continue to go off at all hours of the night the next two nights so I called him back to report that it was stiil a problem. He finallly did come by to take a look and said he really didn't know what was wrong but that it was some sort of electrical problem. I asked him if I needed to have an electrician look at it and he said "yes". I called an electrician to come out and He spent over 2 hours trying to diagnose the problem and came to the conclusion that it was a defect in the the control panel box. He called Steve Bagwell to tell him what he had found to be the problem and Steve Bagwell said he would bring another control panel box out to replace the defective one. He was to contact either the electrician or myself when he had the replacement box so the electricain could install it. After about two or three weeks of not hearing anything from Steve Bagwell, I called his office phone and his cell phone to try to contact him to see when he would be bringing the box. I got no answer and left messages on both phones answering machines but got no response. Again a few days later I called his phones and got no answer, left messages 3 times pleading with him to call me back but still got no response. To this day he refuses to answer his phones or return our calls. We have had to hire another expert installer to fix the problem and pay an electrician as well. I feel it is very unprofessional to hide behind his telephone answering machine and refuse to return our calls when there is a problem with the equipment that he installed. I would not recommend this installer to do any type of work because once he has been paid, thats the last you will see of him if there is a problem.
