MM Comfort Systems

The service is working out great when it's hot. It rains a lot here, but when it is hot, we like it. The price was actually excellent. The quality was superb.

I would not recommend them. It did not go well. I got them through CostCo and I had to get CostCo involved. It was a good furnace though. The installation ended up being fine, but they never showed up on time and the whole process was very chaotic.

With evey dealing with the company, they have been very professional. They didn’t say anything that set me aback. The job was completed in a timely fashion with an excellent product. They cleaned up after themselves.

They did a good job. They were very efficient. They gave me the quote for three different systems and costs. I needed one which fitted in a very small space in a room and they found one which fit perfectly. They installed it on time. They were very quick and clean. They did it exactly as they said they would. They knew what they were talking about. They planned to do the work in 4 hours but actually finished it in less than 3 hours. I got what I wanted. I would use them again in the future.

Only issue was the initial appointment arranged was missed without any type of contact from MM Comfort. They called the following day and apologized for the error and were able to schedule the maintenance on 12/14. There were no other surprises and Alex was extremely polite and kept the work area clean. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and pricing of MM Comfort and would recommend them to a friend. I have since received a substantial number of phone calls and mail for home services (lawn care, roofing, general cleaning, refinancing); it is unclear whether I have been placed on a distribution list by MM Comfort, Angie's List, or I'm just unlucky.

The technician (Alexander) was able to diagnose the problem over the phone and quoted me an approximate price enabling me to make a decision if I want to pay the extra charge for weekend / after hours service. The weekend/after hours charge was $295.00 more than a normal weekday service call. I found this charge is normal in the industry. Since I was not willing to not have heat over the weekend and have to take Monday off from work I chose to pay the extra. The technician, Alexander called in advance on Saturday morning to let me know he was on the way. He arrive on time and was very professional. He even independently put on booties before entering the house. Alexander quickly diagnosed the problem, showed me the worn out part and provided me the full cost of repairs. Since the repair took less than 15 minutes Alex did a full diagnostic on my unit (installed 1994) and gave me a heads up on what would fail next, taking the time to explain why and showing the results on his diagnostic tools and what was the parts life limits. He also evaluated my heating system infrastructure and showed me how I could improve on my heating cost. Alex did not try to sell me any extras but I asked about a Maintenance Agreement and he explained the savings and what the Maintenance Agreement included. (Yearly cost $122.00). I decided to buy the agreement and Alex applied the savings to the service call saving me $70.00. Though the cost ended up to be $760.00 (not cheap) this cost would have been $295.00 cheaper if I chose to wait until a weekday. It was my choice to pay the $295.00 and other companies would have charged the same or more. All-in-all I was very please with the service and now I am warm again.

Their customer service is reliable, and I think they are a good company. I’ve had no negative issue with MM Comfort Systems thus far.

MM Comfort Systems came recommended to me by a friend, and they’ve done great work. Their customer service is very good. If you call with an issue, they’ll send somebody out to resolve it without question. I recommend them.

After the first appointment, their technician advised us that all of the issues were resolved. However, they weren’t. MM then sent a second technician who found problems that the first had missed. Bottom line, they were very, very difficult to reach, there was always an excuse, and working with them was more of hassle than anything else.

The work was completed on a timely basis and performed on date scheduled. However, the city inspector would not approve the installation because of deficiencies in the way wiring was installed.When the installer returned, I explained what the inspector wanted him to do in order to gain approval, but he didn't do what was ordered. He rigged some other wiring that he thought would pass. When I called the inspector to come back, I explained what had happened, and was told that the inspector would not come back until the work was done properly. I asked him to call the installer and discuss the problem with him, eliminating me as the middleman. He called the installer, the installer came back and did the work as originally ordered, and the installation then passed inspection. All of these issues caused me to have to be present for three appointments which should not have been necessary. The work was done in a professional manner and completed professionally except for the above installation and inspection problem.

We are expecting a baby any day now and MM Comfort did a terrific job of getting the work done quickly and well. We love our new whole house heat pump and felt that we made the right decision going with MM Comfort Systems.

We had bought a heat pump previously from MM Comfort. Although we were told at that time that our bills would go down, they increased. At that point we were told that it was because the default setting neeeded to be adjusted so that the furnace would not kick on unless it was colder. We were also told to leave our fan on. When the savings did not come, they told us that our furnace was old and that eventually when we switched to a new one, a variable speed fan would fix our problem. Our heat exchanger started to crack, so it was time to get a new furnace this May. We had such good experience with friendly efficient installers, that we bought from MM Comfort. I stupidly chalked it up past communication problems to an extra busy season. We bought our new furnace from them in May. Well, I called 1 1/12 weeks ago and was told to speak to Heath. H seems to be the person they recommend for all problems. Unfortunately he rarely if ever returns calls. The front desk person will say he is there, but he never picks up. I waited a week and called again, telling him it had been a week and that surely I must have moved to the head of the list by now. I have yet to hear a word from him. I consider follow up to be an important part of a major purchase, and after dealing with this people on several occasions, I can say that they have good and knowledgeable salesmen, they go out of their way to install in a timely manner, and when they are in your house, they are excellent. Once they leave, you are on your own, chasing Heath forever thereafter. I'd not recommend MM to anyone based on this horrible service. (Update: The owner himself called me within an hour of this report, apologizing for the lag in response and offered to come that day if necessary. I explained that it wasn't that urgent and the technician came on Wednesday. This tech, Chris, is a wonderful tech. He recalibrated our fan, fixed a vent that was causing the noise, and explained all the problems in detail. The owner promised me that they would fix the communication problem and impressed me by offering no excuses. He said that they were addressing the problem immediately.) The fan on this unit is extremely loud. It sounds like someone has slammed a door whenever it shuts off. I really dislike this furnace as is, but cannot get a response once again. I expect that someday we may hear back, but it is lousy service. Good luck if you buy from this firm. (Again, all problems were addressed)

The work turned out to be good. They did not charge me for the work as it was under warranty. I was pleased with their service. They explained the reason for the problem. They were a little bit expensive. The installation charge was less; but maintenance was more. Their quality of work was good.

M M Comfort Systems had the best bid. They also have a arrangement with Cosco and you get something special pricing and you get a kind of rebate on the heat pump system. Their pricing is slightly better than anyone else. If you do it through Cosco and you are not happy, Cosco virtually guarantees that work. They said that about 45% of their business is through Cosco. They did a nice job all the way through. They did not have to do any call backs. It was kind of a tough job in my new house because they had to crawl through attic spaces and all kinds of stuff. They did a good job and the price was very good. I would use their service in the future too.

They were great. Very professional and very understanding of my uniquie situation.

I didn't like them. They were sloppy while they were working. I had to have them come back redo some electrical work. Their work looked sloppy. The people seemed nice. We didn't do a walk through before they left because they seemed like they were in a hurry to leave. They left some openings underneath the house. They didn't clean up after themselves. i wouldn't recommend them. We had a problem with our electrical had we couldn't go underneath the house, so the guy had to go through the attic, and he just strung the wire and didn't secure it. I had to have him come back and secure it. Their price seemed reasonable compared to a similar job my neighbors had done by another company. The quality of the work of installing the system was not bad, but the quality of the electrical part of the job was terrible. They responded fairly quickly to my complaint, and came out to fix it. They were on time we they came.

We didn't end up doing the work but they were exceptionally good. They were very good to work with and did an excellent job. I had a complicated system that I needed done with a lot of options and they really did very good at it. I was really sad that we had to put off doing the work because they really understood a complicated problem well. I would highly recommend them. They gave me different options between gas and fuel oil and different ways to reroute a bunch of ductwork to make it run more efficiently than we have it. I needed a breakdown from the least expensive to the most expensive with the different options and they did a great job of the estimate. They came up with it quickly and it was good. The prices were pretty fair. The price ran from $5,000-9,000 depending on what work I would have done.

Called for emergency service on a Sunday. Called back within an hour and came out within 2. Job was well done, though a bit expensive. The price of keeping warm on a cold Sunday.

MMComfort is easily the most impressive contractor that I have EVER dealt with, and I used to deal with contractors professionally. I was expecting that they'd try to upsell me on the Costco purchase (installation is always a wildcard on Central Air). Nope -- they arrived to scope the job and did not pull any of the typical contractor stunts. Loved it! Extra gas pipe was a straightforward quote, and as mentioned above was not related to the A/C other than being made possible by the money that I saved. Very reasonable price, installed exactly as requested, with no mess or other issues. These guys went way beyond what was requied to fulfill their obligation on the installation. While installing the colling coils, they found an issue with the furnace ductwork that had been there since the house was built, and that a previous replacement furnace installer never mentioned. MM made new duct work at their own expense -- and the result was easily 1/3 more airflow in my heating system. They didn't even tell me -- until I asked why my heating airflow was so much better! Communication before, during, and after(!) the job was top shelf. No leftover mess -- not even an extra screw on the floor. They sold me on being a customer for life! Oh -- and the air conditioning worked flawlessly when things finally go hot last summer.

The initial cost to come out and analyse the problem was $105. The repairman came on the appointed day and called before coming to the house, as promised. He was very polite, used booties on his shoes, and examined the furnace. He quickly found the problem and had a replacement ignitor in his truck. Within 20 minutes he had the part replaced and the furnace working. The total charge was $206.06 for parts and labor plus tax. A senior discount of $9.45 was allowed on labor for a total of $196.60. While the work was completed in a timely manner the charge seems excessive in relation to the repairs involved. In all other respects I have no complaints.

The technician was exceptionally friendly. Overall, they've always done very good work.

No Call, No Show. The company was a no call no show for the scheduled appointment. I understand that schedules may change, or appointments may need to be rescheduled, but a simple phone call or email informing me they would not be arriving at all would have been nice.

The service rep arrives on time, covers his shoes, works quickly, quietly, and competently.

MM Comfort Systems is awesome. We used them because they are Costco's vendor for A/C (saved a boatload via Costco), but as it turned out I had prior experience with their commercial division. This job was well north of expected! They were extremely professional, on time, and even replaced a piece of duct on my furnace that had been restricting airflow for 30 years. Perhaps 10 years ago we'd replaced the furnace, and that vendor didn't say a thing about the issue. Love the system that we own, absolutely going to use MM for all service and installation going forward.

Jevon, the sales person came out first. He was very knowledgeable and informed. He was very straight forward about the fireplaces and explained how it would work and how the piping would be done. He was very easy to work with. I had talked with several other companies and gotten several estimates. After talking to Jevon, I determined this was the one to do the work. He ordered the fireplace we wanted and then they scheduled the install. The day of the install, John and Scott arrived around 8:00 a.m. John worked on putting the fireplace in and on preparing the chimney pieces. Scott worked on the piping. Prior to working in the house, they all wore booties on their feet. They then laid card board down. I really appreciated that they were so respectful of our home. There was not a scratch or a speck of dust left behind. The workers were all clean cut and professional. They were very pleasant. Since we had a permit for the job, Scott had to come back to get some equipment and to hook up the gas to the fireplace. He showed me how to use the fireplace and set the remote etc. I would definitely hire this company again. In fact, when we need a furnace, this is the company we will call.
