We experienced a plumbing flood on two floors of our house. Terina helped us sort through many, many boxes of our packed belongings, which were hurriedly wrapped and packed to get them out of the water. We were overwhelmed by the prospect of decision making. Terina set up a work station, complete with her organization tools. We went box by box for three hours. There were properly labeled boxes for items to keep, bags of giveaways, and trash. She asked all the right questions of us as to what was really important to keep or not. My husband and I each made a decision on our own belongings, then a joint decision on what we owned together. She taught us her organizational ideas as we worked. I took quick notes.At the end of the first session, she congratulated us, told us to reward ourselves by going out for coffee, and took away all the donations. It was an amazing day and it felt so freeing! We have worked with her for three times until we were done with the hardest part. Because of her knowledge sharing, we worked in between meetings. She is wonderful to work with and is amazing at her job!!

On my own, I will do almost anything else to avoid dealing with clutter. I feel drained of energy when faced with decisions about where to put what, and frustrated by how much time I waste not finding what I'm looking for. When alone, I have an illogical aversion to deciding where things go, what to keep, and labeling things, When Terina works with me, I feel energized instead of drained. She had a gentle and kind but also supremely professional way of helping me make decisions and of providing suggestions about what might work well. She both gives good advice about the big picture (such as helping me think out how in general I want to organize something based on my goals and needs) to very "down and dirty" activities such recommending specific products, bringing her own supplies, and printing and sticking on labels. This breadth of service is really helpful. I've had people come in to give me advice and, although they have good ideas, I lose the lists of suggestions they leave with me, and I have that familiar feeling of fatigue when I think about implementing their suggestions. I need someone exactly like Terina Bainter who comes to my site, gives me ideas AND works alongside me. She helps me to improve my surroundings and just be there with me while I make decisions. She's very pleasant to work with, and makes me comfortable inviting her into my home. I think she is very skilled at working with people at any level of disorganization or ability to concentrate. Every time she comes to help me, I feel very lucky that she's willing to come to my house to work on my small projects just a few hours now and then even though I think she's also qualified to work with very advanced cases. What she's done has saved me a lot of time and allowed me to be less stressed, and for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Clutter Cutters.

As mentioned, Terina did most of physically moving about various boxes, gathering trash and items to recycle or donate to charity. This was quite helpful given my back pains, etc. Additionally, she offered tips for future sorting, and did a follow up phone call to discuss my progress overall.
Description of Work: Terina assisted me in sorting, clearing out, and tossing out unneeded items from my storage room, (within house). She recognized my need for direction, and professionally directed my efforts, offering instructions on sorting and grouping similar items. These skills I have continued to implement in other rooms. Having lived in this house for twenty years, and recently retired, her expertise was most welcome.

It's been a great experience. Terina is a fantastic communicator, really patient and takes what she does very seriously. She has been to many seminars and gone through certifications because she really wants to help her clients as thoroughly as possible. My only issue is that I had so much to do & wished we could have gone through it quicker and that she would be a bit pushier than she is. I think I only felt that way because I'm very logical & thick skinned and sort of wanted someone to take charge & just tell me what to do. I think she really is just trying to involve me in the decision making. I realize most people need that and Terina is being very careful to not over step someone's comfort zone because she knows that the things in people's homes are very personal and she wants them to not be overwhelmed. I appreciate her tact though & She did give me useful, simple steps that I am continuing on my own now that I've forged through the worst of it and am getting the hang of it. Terina is very consistent and efficient. She is timely with communication and very punctual. I like that despite her very professional style she has a warmth that made me feel like I had made a friend and she even sent me a birthday card later which meant a lot since I've been in a great deal of family transition.
Description of Work: Trina has come to my house a number of times as getting organized has been a process and then I had a kitchen remodel and the area has to be completely redone. She worked through my living room space, kitchen (twice), bedroom and office/paper work stuff.
