Description of Work: My furnace quit. I called Day and Nite and talked with Bruce. He was on his way from one call to another and couldn't fit me in, but since he had a 40 minute drive to his next stop, he got me in front of my furnace and talked me through a few things he thought might be an issue. He stayed with me for almost an hour (he kept me on the line while he was at his next service while I worked on what he had instructed). Well, it didn't seem to work. Bruce was at my house at 8 AM the next day and had me up and running in a matter of minutes. Literally less than 10. He charged a modest service call fee (no charge for the hour plus he spent on the phone with me) and left us warm and happy. Nice guy, loves his job, happy to teach the customer about their equipment. I now have a 'furnace guy'!

Description of Work: I called them for my water heater not working. They were on time and polite. Their work was high quality and quick. They called me later to check up on us and see if we had any questions or needed any additional help. Very nice guys. They turned a bad experience into a clinic on perfect customer service. I cannot speak highly enough about this company. I definitely recommend them and I will be using them again.

Description of Work: Water leak in hallway. They tore up the carpeting and put a dryer to it then tacked it down. Since it is a rental and the owners were out of country, nothing permanent was done.

Description of Work: Improperly diagnosed what was a plugged sewer line, performed unnecessary work & therefore unauthorized upgrades. We as owners accepted responsibility for cost, but they (see below) literally threatened our renter over the phone. Took them through BBB arbitration process where they told innumerable lies, accused us of "colluding" against them, etc.... I'm pretty sure the dad (owner) didn't know about problem until we went to the actual arbitration, but his son and "inspections guy" were real tools to work with. We won the arbitration & it basically voided our bill. Took until Sept. to settle per their slow responses.

Description of Work: I hired them, initially, to check my furnace which had stopped working. Then during the course of the repairs (took a few days - had to order a part), I smelled gas and asked them to check. Turned out it was my Home Depot water heater which I just had installed (it had a propane part in a natural gas heater & built a soot ball which started on fire). Day & Nite were terrific in their immediate response and guidance...literally saved our lives! | |They offered me great discounts, used high quality parts, professional and helpful (very patient w/all of my numerous questions)! I wanted a new control box and they recommended one that actually helped my furnace function better and manage the heat/cold better in my house without having to install a spendy A/C unit. Very customer-oriented. I will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: Sam came after hours at 10:30 and worked until 1:45 the next morning fixing the leak. He was great and very willing and reassuring. I have used Day and Nite for years, and though I am told they are expensive, they always are dependable, do good work and go above and beyond no matter what is needed. I heartily recommend them, Sam Scillie, in particular.

Description of Work: Day & Nite installed a new water supply pipe from the meter to my house. |The only glitch was that the ditch digger was not delivered as scheduled. I don't know if that was the rental companies fault or the plumbers. |The lead plumber was not pleased with the job done refilling the ditch he sent the young man who had done it back to do a better job. |I have been using Day & Nite for many years for plumbing and heating problems. I will continue to patronize Day & Nite.

Description of Work: Disassembled indoor a/c units and cleaned out the mold. Fairly labor intensive and he was finished by 6pm.
