We had absolutely no problems with them which is unusual now a days with companies. They were very prompt and polite when they came out. The price was not bad at all either as I didn t feel like I was getting ripped off.

John arrived on time for the estimate and was in and out in approx. 10 min. Showed up on time for the job and went right to work. Finished, cleaned the area up and was gone in the estimated time of 90 min! Was excellent to work with and very easy to talk to.

He's kind of rough edged guy. He did a very good job. The products were more effective that most home owners can buy. The tidy factor was lacking.

Mr. Start insists on coming out to see the job before he estimates it - a time consuming but very useful process. It gives the customer and the contractor the chance to agree on exactly what is desired. The Grout Doctor gave us a very reasonable estimate and performed the work (on a subsequent appointment visit) in excellent fashion. He replaced failing grout and re-grouted many places where the grout was gone. Matched color perfectly. During the estimate he even gave us advice about a leaking shower unrelated to the job we needed him for.

John responded quickly to our phone call for an estimate. He carefully evaluated the project and gave us his estimate. It was reasonable and we accepted. A few days later he returned and did all of the work and some additional work he noticed. He did a great job and was quite easy to work with. He lives up to his reputation on Angie's List and I would recommend him to anyone needing tile service.

I was very happy from beginning to end. John called me back within a few hours of my original message. We were able to make an appointment for an estimate that next day and schedule the work the following week. John was precisely on time both days. The work was exactly as expected. The bathroom was left clean. John was very pleasant and great to do business with.

John is very pleasant, returns calls immediately, cleans up the work area well, and is responsible to do what he says.

The work was quick, efficient, timely, and the price was excellent (we received an AL discount). My wife had already started some of the shower re-caulking, but ran into difficulties and called John, who came out and completed the job (very professionally), and recommended a few other places that needed re-caulking.

John completely re-grouted and sealed the ceramic tile surfaces mentioned above, on two separate visits this year. I was very impressed by the work he did in my master bathroom, so I had him return to repair cracked sanded grout in my kitchen and guest bathroom, too. John worked quickly, yet did a quality job, and was careful to keep the work areas clean. He is very friendly and accommodating, and his rates were lower than the last company that re-grouted my shower several years ago.

I am very pleased to have my shower back in good condition. Personable, punctual, patient & helpful. He shortchanges himself by not projecting more self-confidence (a trait I recognize and battle with myself). He deserves better. Believe in him! We agreed fishing in SE Alaska is a fine thing to do for vacation.

John was punctual - actually a few minutes early! He was very efficient and went above and beyond in the shower making sure we didn't have water damage behind the loose tiles. He also re-caulked the shower because a few draining notches had be mistakenly caulked. The color of the grout used on the granite countertop is a little different than the existing grout. I wish we had taken a little more time matching. All in all, we had a very positive experience with the Grout Doctor.

Very professional job. Was exactly on time for both the initial consultation and the actual work day. Work was done completely to satisfaction. Area was left neat and clean. A good job for a very reasonable price.

John always came when he said he would, was polite and pleasant, and was quickly responsive to both e-mail and voice-mail. He worked VERY hard! He was reliable, creative and worked cheerfully with some unexpected challenges that came up (need for re-framing etc). He saved us from having to find yet another workman which would have extended the project time elapsed. He provided quick and reasonable re-estimates when we changed the original specifications somewhat (like the re-framing and using tumbled marble instead of ceramic tile). He was flexible about letting the tenant buy the tile and grout materials to ensure they would be exactly the colors/materials wanted, providing information about what and how much was needed and then backing those costs out of the bid. In spite of all of that, he did the job in the time he initially stated he would. Our house is old and is poorly built. Even so, he made the off-kilter walls look great when the job was finished. We are very pleased!

John was punctual. For what I paid, I was disappointed at the results, especially in the shower since the only difference was the new cauking. He recommended a chlorox bleach pen. Wow.

This was a good experience. John Start showed up on time, explained the process and completed the work. I have no complaints. I assume the price for the work was competitive.

There was a slight confusion on start time, but he was extremely professional, did a very solid and quick job that was exactly what was needed, and billed according to the estimate. We'd definitely hire him again.

BOB SHOWED UP FOR ON WORK ON TIME BOTH DAYS HE WORKED ON MY KITCHEN AND BATH. HE WAS VERY NEAT AND CLEANED UP. BOB WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HAD AN EXCELLENT WORK ETHIC. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE LOOKING TO REGROUT THEIR BATHS/KITCHEN.
