Mike at Apex was knowledgeable and on time and on budget. We used a water-based floor finish.Tthe job was cleaned up beautifully at the end. Their efforts at isolating the work area from the rest of the home was superb. Good all around. CEW

Apex is a 2-person business. Michael and John form a great team, both passionate about making your floor look great, and are artisans. They only do hardwood floors. This has merits. They focus on doing one thing, great. And since it is their reputation at stake, they put their best into each project. You will see them work 6 days a week until your job is done well. Michael works on getting new business at a very reasonable price. He procures raw material+tools for a job and helps John. John is a perfectionist who delivers (oxymoron). He has a great work ethic and will not waste any time. Michael and John installed new hardwood floor in the main floor of our house. They leveled the sunken floor in one of our rooms with the rest, removed a sloppily installed slate floor (by prior owner), laced the new floor with existing hardwood floor. We so love our new floor that we feel like licking it :). I plan to hire Apex again in the future to install hardwood flooring in our upstairs. I highly recommend Apex. What more do you need than the best people in the trade working on your floor and making it look great, at a very competitive price?

I hired APEX Hardwood floors to refinish my red oak floors in the living and dining rooms. In addition, I had them rip out the pergo and lay new hardwood floors to match in the kitchen and family room. They came out beautifully. Michael Nuebel was very responsive and John was amazing with the installation. The new floor is seamless with the other flooring and the refinish makes the whole house look new again. They were prompt, responsive and completed the job in a timely manner. They were very respectful of my time and my things. They really minimized the interruption and worked around my schedule.

This company is 2 guys so you are not dealing with a large company. They are prompt and doing an amazing job bring my old 100 year old floor back to life. Mike even cut wood to match my floor since that size no longer exists.

Mike Neubel and his team did an outstanding job refinishing my hardwood floors in my home in Des Moines. I bought the place a year ago, and the floors looked like they had not seen any TLC in years. Today, they shine like I had new floor laid down. Mike is very pleasant, professional and upbeat and I enjoyed the time working with him and his team.

I purchased a 1928 Craftsman home in Mt. Baker. The floors were various stains to the point they looked like different woods in each room. Mike sanded and stained them with a rich brown stain that brought out the character of the wood. He is personable, professional and a joy to work with. I highly recommend him.

Mike came and re-finished my hardwoods in July 2020 and he did such great work that I had him back to install hardwoods in my kitchen in Jan 2021. I cannot recommend him enough. Mike is a hard worker with the customers satisfaction his highest priority. He is flexible with his work hours and does a beautiful job on wood floors. He added new wood floors to existing wood floors and changed the stairs from carpet to wood. We are very happy with the end result. The floors actually came out better than we anticipated. His pricing is fair and his skill is advanced. Ours was a very large job and he never got stressed out or appeared to be rushing. We would hire him again and we do recommend him to others looking to have their wood floors added to and refinished.

Mike is an amazing hardwood specialist! He knows what he's doing and left our hardwood floors looking like new (our house in Bothell is 59 years old).
