We hired Sundance in 2003 to convert our house from oil to gas. They did a great job at a reasonable price. When we remodeled in 2007, I decided to call them again to repair the ducting that had been disturbed and install new ducts and vents. It took several weeks to get a return phone call, and multiple phone calls and site visits to get a quote. The work was scheduled out almost six weeks. When the scheduled date came, half their crew was on vacation. They did not attempt to reschedule until the day the work was due to begin. We could have been flexible with more notice, but late notice on a long-scheduled appointment did not make me happy. This was supposed to be a two day job for a crew of four. It turned into three days for one guy, followed by three days the following week for two guys. The first guy nicked an electrical line and left a gas leak. Sundance was not responsive to my concerns (the electrical line). I'm still furious with the way the salesman handled my concerns. They tried to bump responsibility to someone (anyone) who might have been working in the ceiling, but they were the only crew out since the wires had been run. It was an easy and very cheap fix, but the way I was treated when I mentioned the concern was unacceptable. The crew who actually performed the needed work was very good. The technicians were polite, professional, and did an outstanding job. The quality of their work deserves an A. The quality of the scheduling, the phone staff, and the salesman deserves a D. I averaged the grade to a C.

When I called in, they answered the phone right away (even on a Saturday), and told me that their tech was busy, but they would page him the details and he would call me back when he could. About an hour or so later he called me and said he was not able to help because he didn't have the equipment needed, but he would call a few other people and find someone for me. The next day (Sunday) they sent out 2 guys to take a look. Within about an hour they were able to pressure test the line and have me call PSE to come reconnect the gas. They were courteous and respectful of the house and I felt like they treated me to a fair price. I would highly recommend them after this experience.

We had a really good experience. It's a tank-less water heater, and we have been really happy with it.

Sundance came out, discussed our options, gave estimates, and then came back the next day to replace our water heater. We had considered installing a tankless heater, and Sundance gave a good estimate, but we subsequently got another estimate on getting that work done that included some gotchas that Sundance didn't mention. We figured it was safer to go with a tanked water heater, and Sundance had a better price (that they stuck to). They also installed an "expansion tank" and did a test on our pressure to let us know we needed to get a new pressure valve installed.

I like them because they are prompt, courteous, and I feel confident after they clean. They are clean, they never leave a mess. They are reasonable and I would recommend them to anyone.

The salesman came out and matched another estimate that I had gotten. I was impressed with the way he went about it. They came out the day they said they would. They even worked around my schedule. It took them less than a day to complete the job. They cleaned up well and I am pleased with the work. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

I originally requested a quote on a tankless system but discovered that our water pressure was too low to support it. JD came over and looked at our current situation and agreed with that assessment. He quoted a simple tank replacement at a great price. The quote included every detail of what we were getting and what was included, like haul away of the old tank. We accepted the quote and scheduled the installation. A couple days later the installers showed up on time, worked quickly to get the new tank in place and left with no mess and no problems. Our existing hot water recirc was properly reconnected and we've had no problems at all. I was very pleased.

Not only did they fit us in on such extremely short notice (and we did not classify as an emergency), they found out the problem and simply found the shut on/off gas valve that our landscaper had covered up by mistake. Needless to say, we were thrilled and the fire pit works beautifully! We know the new owners will enjoy it for many years. I have to give kudos to Sundance for their incredible service and assistance at our time of panic. If you need an energy company for any of these kinds of services, please call them first.

We wanted a gas fireplace in our house, which had no previous fireplace. Also, it needed to be on an interior wall. Rick came out and talked to us. We wanted (1) ambiance and (2) enough heat to keep us comfortable in case of a power outage but not so much as to blast us with too much heat otherwise. Rick discussed how gas would be brought up from the basement and the unit would be vented through the attic to the roof. He prepared an estimate for fireplace and mantle. A month later I called him back; I'd seen an installation where a diagonal wall had been built into the corner of a room and the fireplace installed there. Rick came out again, reviewed our needs and prepared another estimate. He was patient! The crew came out right on schedule, did the work in one day and cleaned up after themselves. Within 24 hours I smelled gas and called Sundance. Someone came out within 24 hours, found the leak (factory issue), and fixed it. We couldn't be happier with our new fireplace!

Our furnace wasn't working when I called Sundance for service. An appointment was scheduled for the following Sat. In the meantime, my husband checked the thermostat and found that it was set to cool so he got the heat to come on. When the Sundance man came, he cleaned the filters (they were plugged) and did maintenance on the rest of the parts. We were out of town so he gave us a call and told us what he was doing.

The product sold - gas fireplace stand-alone model, fulfilled all the company's promises & our expectations. Keeps use of furnace to a minimum. The cat is ecstatic & spends all winter in front of it. We are truly happy. Efficient, reliable, professional, fair pricing, informative, polite & clean. The stove pipe/venting needed tooling. Great job. Unqualified recommendation. Keep to your standards & workmen.

We had some problems regarding the pricing and the response the office was giving us. It took the attorney general's office to resolve the problems. They were not responsive until they received 3 letters from them. In the long run the service turned out good.

I initially obtained Sundance Energy's name from Puget Sound Energy's Contractor Referral Service, but what was so helpful was I checked them out on Angie's List as well. Sundance responded quickly to my call and sent their representative, J.D. Davis, to provide an estimate. J.D. arrived on time and answered all my questions and even provided me with some cost saving suggestions. He determined I needed to get the furnace replaced quickly and scheduled the installation for the following week even though we were in one of their busiest installation months and had just come out of a severe cold snap. The installation started on time and was completed that afternoon as they committed to. Sundance removed all old equipment and all boxes, etc. and cleaned up the area better than it was when they started, I was impressed. They followed up a few weeks later to see if everything was working to my satisfaction. I plan on using Sundance for my annual furnace inspections.

They came and assessed the problem. Order parts for the replacement and came back the next week to install everything. The fireplace is now working fine.

Our experience started when we bought this house in April, the original owner had already started with them and paid the $200.00 with the understanding the rest would be paid when it was fixed. We have had no phone calls, or updates, just wondering if they are ever coming back to fix anything. It is like they don't know how.At the very least they need to refund the money they have already collected so we can get someone who can fix this.

Everything from the on site free estimate to the work was done in a timely, polite, and professional fashion. Terry, who did the estimate, was prepared to show us all types of fireplace inserts, with and without blowers. He had no problem NOT steering us to the most expensive and was quite receptive to our ''bottom of the line'' desires. Sundance does not contract out its electrical or gas work, so Terry was able to give a completely inclusive estimate and offered a variety of options (brick back/direct vent). The installers arrived on time and were polite and very clean. They laid down plastic and were constantly vacuuming. They were completely familiar with the Vermont Castings fireplace they were installing and had no problem fielding questions and showing us how to use the fireplace.

THE AWNINGS LOOK GREAT AND SEEM TO BE WORKING FINE, ALTHOUGH THE PULL CORD IS DIFFICULT TO MANAGE AND THE CORD HOUSING IS NOT VERY DURABLE. WE WERE A LITTLE FRUSTRATED WITH THE INSTALLATION PROCESS; A PART WAS FOUND TO BE MISSING AFTER ARRIVAL, AND THEN DELAYS OCCURRED WITH SUBSEQUENT ORDERING. COMMUNICATIONS WERE NOT GREAT AND A TWO-WEEK PROCESS TOOK TWO MONTHS TO COMPLETE. IF I WERE TO ORDER AGAIN, I WOULD KNOW WHAT TO LOOK FOR AND POSSIBLE PROBLEMS.

I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE. FROM MY INITIAL CONTACT WITH THE SALES REPRESENTATIVE TO THE DELIVERY OF THE UNIT AND FINALLY THE INSTALLATION OF THE STOVE. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICE.

WE HAD WORKED WITH THIS COMPANY THE PREVIOUS YEAR TO BRING OUR GAS FIREPLACE AND HOT WATER TANK IN. THEY AGAIN RESPONDED QUICKLY TO MY CALL, AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE REMEMBERED US. HE QUICKLY GOT THIS JOB SCHEDULED AND COMPLETED. I REQUESTED SCHEDULE CHANGES, AND HE WAS ABLE TO MEET OUR NEEDS. THEY WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE JOB AS SCHEDULED AND HAD NICE FOLLOW-UP AS WELL.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS MOSTLY GOOD. WE HAVE HAD SUNDANCE PERFORM WORK FOR US IN THE PAST. THE SALES STAFF PROVIDED A TRUE ESTIMATE AND THE WORK WAS DONE PROMPTLY. THE ONLY DRAWBACK TO THE EXPERIENCE WAS THAT NO ONE CALLED OR LET US KNOW THEY WERE DONE. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO HAVE SOMEONE GO THROUGH THE NEW T-STAT CONTROL AND DO A GENERAL WALK THROUGH. THEY TOOK A CREDIT CARD NUMBER FOR A DEPOSIT THEN CHARGED THE REST WHEN THEY WERE DONE. NO CONTACT WAS MADE AFTER THE LAST DAY TO CONFIRM THE JOB HAD BEEN COMPLETED. THEY DID DO A GOOD JOB CLEANING UP AND REMOVING ALL THE OLD DUCTWORK AND FURNACE.

THE SERVICE PERSON CALLED TO ADVISE HIS TIME OF ARRIVAL. HE WAS PROMPT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE SPENT EXTRA TIME DISCUSSING FUTURE SERVICES (LIKE AC) AT THE END. HE ALSO ADVISED ME TO WAIT TO INSTALL AC UNTIL THEIR SPECIAL STARTS.

THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY. THEY REPLACED THE ELECTRIC STOVE WITH THE NEW GAS STOVE WHICH WE PROVIDED IN ADVANCE. THEY LEFT THE PLACE JUST AS CLEAN AS WHEN THEY STARTED.
