I made an appointment for a salesman to come to my house as I was considering replacing my windows. I tried to rush him thru his speel, but he was very patient with me. He made sure I understood exactly what I was getting and even brought sample cutouts of various vinyl window frames, double-pane glass samples, and a sunlamp to compare the heat values of sun coming thru the window glass. He explained everything about the frame, construction and materials, to glass and vinyl coatings, even the liner and gas that is installed between the panes! He also had the printed statistics to backup what he was talking about. When he was done he said, "You now know more about vinyl windows than the average person."! The critical measurements were done a few days later and the guy measured all inside windows, then outside, then went around and did it all again. He said they fit the windows to within 1/16th of an inch and since he was an installer, he was trying to see how they would fit and look best in my old window frames. My windows were installed a few weeks later and the men were very professional and cleaned up after themselves perfectly. I couldn't be happier with my new windows. I now have windows that look great from the inside and outside. I did not have to paint any wood frames outside as the windows fit perfectly. I also have a lifetime warranty on my break-resistant glass and screens (salesman pounded on sample window, I thought he was going to break the glass, but he said he pounds on the same window every time!). The only time it will not cover is in a natural disaster. The lifetime warranty is transferrable one time. I do not call the manufacturer, I call Harley Exterior if I need any servicing or replacement. They sell, install and service their products and have been in business for 12 years. I have noticed a huge difference in the comfort of my home and feel a lot safer now too. One benefit I did not know about or expect is that I can leave my curtains open (without sheers) and do not have to worry about peeping toms, the windows almost work like a 1 way mirror. I can actually see the outside clearer by looking thru the windows than I can just looking out the door. But from the outside it's very difficult to see in unless you have a light on. The installer said that is because of the UV protection. I would recommend Harley Exteriors and their great windows to anyone who is looking for great quality, service and professionalism.

First was the sales pitch. This was a scripted 3 hour long, tedious process. Our sales person was professional and personable and the presentation was very informative. There was pressure to decide on the spot. After the price was dropped several thousand dollars we agreed. The installation was completed in one day with two workers. They installed 8 replacement windows, a slider and turned three smaller living-room windows into one large picture window. The installation process was completed professionally and with care and respect. The windows were chalked and cleaned, They hauled off all of the old windows and cleaned up inside and out. The only issue we had was that the screen door on the slider did not slide easily. Harley's promptly contacted the manufacturer (Custom Design) who is sending out a representative to resolve the issue. We love the look and operation of our new windows! They are also a great noise insulator. All of the sliding windows are spring loaded and easy to remove for cleaning as are the screens. In summary, we feel like we received a very good product, professionally installed, and with a lifetime guarantee. The company has been responsive. Although the sales process is long and with some pressure, it was not really unnecessary because of the high quality of their product.

I immediately noticed how quiet the inside of my house was after installation. I never knew how much noise my old windows were letting in. This is not something that can be quantified by some salesman, but it is true and made a believer out of me. Proves that not only does the double thickness glass reduce noise transmission, but the frames and window seal with the sliding frames are also well sealed. I also noticed that my furnace didn't come on hardly at all after installation. So I was not losing heat through the windows like in the past. And my old windows were the aluminum framed double pane windows made by Milgard, which were not cheap windows and lasted 26 years. But they were starting to leak and cause moisture to appear between the glass. A major improvement with the new windows is the reduced solar heat gain. Now when the bright sunshine comes in, you can put your hand behind the glass and hardly feel any heat. This is great and will reduce my cooling costs during the summer. Plus it will eliminate the fading of my drapes, sills, and carpet. Even though you may think by living in the NW and solar heat gain is not important, think about how much heat comes into your home because of the long daylight hours we have in the summer. So I think solar heat gain is a very important factor in window selection. If you doubt how well the triple E coated windows work, ask the salesman to bring a heat lamp and old style and new style window glass to demonstrate the heat transfer and you will be amazed! I didn't believe it until I saw how effective the triple E coated window glass kept out heat. The windows themselves have many good features such as a double cam lock, a window stop to allow the window to remain partially open, and a feature to allow swiveling the window inside the house to allow easy cleaning. I chose the beige color frame. My windows come with a double lifetime warrantee so it can be transferred to a new owner. They provide a 10 year installation guarantee and will replace for free up to 1 window a year which is broken for any cause. This includes parts and labor. No one else that I know of provides this kind of guarantee. We will probably not get any windows broken, but it is nice to know they will fix it if it should happen. And they also replace the window screens for free if damaged. I am thoroughly happy with the new replacement windows, I should have done it years ago. However window technology is constantly improving so they might come up with better windows in the future. But for now, these are the best windows available and Harley Exteriors is the best business we could find. I recommend getting a couple competing bids and make sure you are comparing the same features on the windows. There were some lower cost bids we got, but they did not offer the high end technical features which now has proven to be so important. I would hire Harley Exteriors again if we had to do it over again. But for now, I don't have to worry about my windows for my lifetime!

The sales rep was very nice and non-pushy and then the installation team was very clean and treated my home with respect. When they left you would not have know they were there, other than the beautful new windows. The windows not only look great they have reduced or heating bill and keep the house much cooler on the hot days. On top of all of that they gave us a double lifetime warrenty. I have to believe that will help us sell the house if we ever decide to. I give them a A+ and would do business with them again.

The service was outstanding from the beginning to the end of the installlation of the new windows. They organize all of the workmanship so as to do the best installation possible. As they worked inside the home they used cloth/tarp to cover the carpet. And cleaned up after replacing the windows. My old windows were 1968 Metal Frames-two pane's. They are backing their windows 100% & will replace if needed. This was a fantastic experience & for the money spent for the project of new window like these-Olympic Windows-from Harley Exteriors-I will more then double the money I spent on savings for heat, electricity cost in a short period of time. Plus the value to my home is improved. This went better than I had thought & would highly recommend Harley Exteriors for anyone planning on window replacement.

The installers were great. They were wonderful about cleaning up when the project was complete. I can't really comment on yet on how efficient the windows are, since I haven't gotten a heat bill yet.

The salespeople were great to work with. The installation crew was also very qualified and did a thourough job including cleanup. The only problem we had was the glass used was inferior and somewhat cloudy which could not be cleaned. After we complained, and they sent out a rep from the glass manufacturer, they replaced all with new windows using a diferent glass manufacturer.

My wife and I found Harley Exteriors at the 2012 Seattle Home Show. We were thinking about new windows so someone from Harley's came out to our house the next week to give us an estimate. The individual doing the estimate was a really nice guy and provided us a lot of great information. We decided that day to purchase 10 windows through Harley. The windows took about 3 weeks to be built and were installed by a professional crew. It took one day for the windows to be installed and they look awesome! One of the really cool things is the lifetime warranty + 10 year warranty for the next homeowners. A lot of people may say "there may be a warranty but that doesn't mean anything gets fixed" but this is definitely not the case with Harley. A few months after owning the windows one of the small security levers broke on a kitchen window so I called Harley. They came out about 2 days later and replaced the lever free of charge (and even gave me a couple extra security levers and show me how to replace them myself so that I could replace them if the issue occurred again (which it hasn't). I really enjoyed my experience with Harley Exteriors. Even though the price is a little high, the windows are really high quality and the customer service was amazing. I will highly recommend Harley to my friends and family looking to purchase new windows in the Seattle area.

Todd, their sales representative, explained and demonstrated different window options. This was a no pressure presentation. I was impressed that this was a local company from manufacturing to installation. I could afford to have only half of the windows installed at this time. The price Todd quoted me is good for 2 years and I plan to have the rest installed in the spring. The Harley technicians were polite and efficient. I was surprised how quickly they installed the windows. There was absolutely no mess when they were done. The windows are beautiful and fit perfectly. I plan to have Harley Exteriors do more work for me in the future.

Firstly, we were impressed with the salesmanship and professionalism of their sales representative. He gave us ALL the options and educated us on what we were paying for and let us make the choice--thorough but not hard sales. My husband is in sales so it takes a bit to impress him. When the installers arrived they were so respectful, taking care to cover their shoes and clean up after themselves. YOu can tell the company insists on quality and professionalism and it was evident in all we encountered from the first representative to the acutal installers and the people in the office doing follow up phone calls. An A+ company (and the windows are really cool too!)

The evening the gentleman came out to do our presentation and estimate he was on time, and ,while he was here for 4 hours he was nice to have there. While he did apply pressure to buy it was not too much. He just made us make a decision. When Harley came out with the windows they realized the large window had support beams and had to redo the front window at their expense. Even though we had to wait a couple of weeks longer to get our windows they did the right thing. They left minimal mess behind and for me that was a huge plus with small children! When we purchase the rest of the windows at our home at 2598 98th Place SE in Everett, WA we will go back to Harley Exteriors Laura Bohannan

Sales person was very helpful and great financing was available. For the price we got great new windows that we are very happy with. The house is very comfortable and warm in winter and nice and cool in summer. The street appeal of our house is greatly improved too. The work was done quick and efficiently. I would definitely recommend Harley to anyone.

Our Experience: Our home was built in the mid 70's and has aluminum framed windows. They're dual pane and whatever gas was between them is long gone. We had several Penguin windows installed several years ago which included two sliding glass doors leading to the back deck. They were installed badly and we had to have Penguin out to the house at least 4 times within a year because of locking and alignment problems. Punctuality and professionalism was not their forte and WE were charged a small fee every time they came out to fix the doors that they installed incorrectly! Needless to say, it wasn't a surprise to my wife and I when we found out that Penguin had gone out of business. The product they offered and the customer service was enough for us to swear off window companies for the rest of our lives! The sales pitch: This last summer (2012) we were greeted by some friendly guys walking the neighborhood who offered some "incentives" in exchange for an hour of our time. My wife and I knew we wouldn't buy from another window company because of our horrible experience with Penguin so we figured we get our free gift and be done with it. Easy right? The Harley Exteriors presentation was phenomenal! He was kind, courteous and answered all the questions we had about the products, installation process and service. He was very patient because as you'd probably guessed we were naturally skeptical and wary given our previous experience. We were honest about our financial inability to have the remaining 14 windows in our home done but he offered us a plan that was well within our budget and we got 6 more windows ordered. What really sold us was the fact that the windows come with a double lifetime plus warranty. That means that when we decide to sell the house we can pass that lifetime warranty to the new owners which means our home will appreciate more! If anything goes wrong with the windows they come out and fix it for free! If our son throws a baseball through one of them? Free. If a tree branch during a storm breaks one? Free. If a pane fogs up indicating a leak? Free. These jaded home owners were definitely back on track with upgrading our old and inefficient windows due to the professional and friendly sales person. Installation: My wife was on summer break from teaching and I was worried about her being home alone with a crew of window installers around. Not to worry though. One guy (I'd assumed it would take 3 or 4 people) showed up and installed all 6 windows. He was kind, courteous and respectful of our property. He was still there when I got home from work and was patient enough to stick around and wait for my personal inspection of the job. I pointed out that the three double hung windows (they open from the top or the bottom) in our living room seemed to have gaps near the middle between the frame and sash. He immediately brought back out his tools and equipment and worked another 30 minutes until he could get them squared as best he could. We were very happy with the installation process. Customer Service: Within a couple days someone from Harley exteriors called us to find out how we felt about the experience so far. They reiterated that it was their main goal to ensure that the product was everything we were told and to our satisfaction. It was during this phone conversation that I told them about this "hour-glassing" effect that was occurring in our three (3) double hung windows. I told them that one of the reasons we bought the windows was to make our home more efficient and save money on heating and cooling. I said, if I can visually see a significant gap (without measuring with a tape measure) in all the windows between the window and frame then there was a problem. She agreed and said she'd talk with the owner, Christian, and get back with me. She called back within a few hours and made an appointment to have an inspector come out to the house. She said that the inspector would be the owner himself because he wanted to ensure we knew he was going to take care of the problem no matter the cost. A few days later Christian came out and said there was definitely a problem and he would be contacting the manufacturer. Christian made us feel very comfortable and we believed wholeheartedly that the issue would be resolved.....and he did not disappoint us! Within a week an inspector from the manufacturer came out and took measurements. About another week or two later he was back out and installing new parts on all three windows. It turned out to be a manufacturing problem rather than an installation problem. BOTTOM LINE: Harley Exteriors heard our problem, addressed it and fixed it immediately without batting an eyelash all the while being professional, friendly and courteous and at no additional cost!

The overall job was great. I am sure you could find a less expensive product, but you get what you pay for. This is a great product and service for the money. Follow up service was not needed but offered. If you need new windows, this is the company to use!

The installer came to the house and took the required measurements. The window was built and then the installer returned to complete the installation. The installer was professional, courteous, careful, and attentive to detail. Because the job was only one window, the job went quickly but the installer did not rush it. The new window fit and went into place without damage to the existing window sill ceramic tile. I had removed the old exterior casing and provided material for the new casing, which he installed. He neatly caulked both the interior and exterior frame of the new window. He cleaned up his debris inside and out. We were very pleased with the results.

The Harley salesperson came by and showed us plenty of examples of materials and styles, as well as documentation for energy savings, ect. He was able to assist us in our choices, and explain the pros and cons of all the different types of windows available. He worked with us on the price, which was high. Yet I feel we paid for and received quality products which will not sag, mold or sweat on us. The installers came promptly and that went smoothly. I am happy. Linda

HARLEY Exteriors removed 11 older style windows from 1992 and replaced them with their Olympic Windows. The 2 men who did the installation were very friendly, very courteous, and informative. Professionalism was outstanding. We live in the country and usually a lot of dirt gets tracked in from frequently going in and out. The installers laid drop cloth from the front door to all the windows and all the way upstairs. They also took their shoes off when they came in. They had such a good work ethic and a great spirit about them, and not one curse word was being said. Everything they did, even the clean-up, was meticulous. After all the work was done, they even cleaned the new windows, so they were spotless. I had requested a larger kitchen window, which required them to cut into the house wall. They were very careful about that and also did a superb job with the new window frame. I love my new window; it allows me to get a better view of our horses grazing on the pasture and the deer wandering across. We love how easy it is to take out the new screens and window panes for cleaning, especially on the second floor windows. The locking system far surpasses the older style and the slide stop system gives us more security when we leave the windows slightly open for ventilation. The U value of HARLEY'S windows compared to the older windows was amazing. I'm looking forward to a substantial savings in heating costs for this year compared to prior years. The sizes of the windows varied from the small bathroom windows to the larger living room window. Over all I would highly recommend HARLEY EXTERIOR to anyone wanting window replacement; I do not believe you'd be able to find better windows or a more professional team. om window fram

Project proceeded smoothly. Good communication among Harley's receptionist, the installer and me. Two workmen were considerate of my carpeting and belongings, as well as pets. They completely cleaned up the yard after the installation and took away old screens and windows. Before their departure I learned how to use the windows. Weeks after the installation I received a packet with the promised "double Lifetime Plus Warranty" which should be retained for the next owner of my home.

We first began shopping for windows and contacted numerous companies requesting quotes on replacing all of our windows. Many of the companies came in at the same price as Harley, but their products were not even close to the quality that Harley provides. The salesperson showed up and spent some time explaining the benefits we would get in replacing our windows, showed us some articles showing the amount of money we would save on our energy bills if we replaced our windows, and showed us the difference between different windows with a heat lamp (some of them became very hot!!). We chose the highest quality window they offer, which includes a 10-year transferable warranty and are expected to last much longer than that. It was a great experience for us and we greatly appreciated the time he spent explaining everything to us and working with us to find a way to afford replacing our windows. After we agreed to purchase the windows through Harley, our order was placed quickly and the installation date came very shortly after. They installed the windows over a weekend we were away and did an awesome job. There are no issues with the windows and they look great. We definitely would purchase through them again and recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking to purchase new windows!

The idea of replacing our aluminum framed windows came through contact at a home improvement expo in Tacoma and 6 months later (because we needed to buy a house first) we were able to make a deal with Harley that benefits us both. Harley reps take such care of their customers it almost seemed to too good to be true when visited by their sales rep at our home. So I went and researched over several weeks in different sources what this company was all about. I did find that at one point there was trouble in connecting sales pitches with the final product but believe me in our experience from March 2012 thru November 2012 I have nothing but high regard of their integrity and attention to detail throughout the process. The credit union, Salal CU, offers great financing with no pre-payment penalties. The Harley window warranty is surely second to none. To highlight a few features double warranty (warranty carries to the follow-on owner with endless ownership of the window purchaser), free labor for replacements, even if the property is converted to a rental property the warranty holds for 10 years. The Harley installers arrived a little later than they anticipated but put took after the task with a tenacious heart throughout the day to finish prior to a house party we had planned. They immediately began setting up drop clothes and pulling out windows. They noticed an existing alarm system and immediately called my attention to it so it could be addressed appropriately. Each window had breathable vapor barrier material at each opening. In building science the vapor barrier is very important to the overall performance of the building and should be integral with the window construction. I noticed the barrier was being pulled out a little far and made remark as such. The team immediately made efforts to be more ginger with the vapor barrier. The only reason I didn't give a 'B' to the price category is the quality of these windows significantly exceed the margin of cost compared to the available products of the box stores (and their warranty, look closely...).

We have just one word?WOW! And it is worth repeating?WOW, WOW, WOW, and WOW! We could not be happier about our entire experience with your company! Our new windows are fabulous! Not only do they look beautiful, but they are amazing quality! We even visited the manufacturer?s factory where it was confirmed that your product is top of the line and exclusive to your company. These windows are well built, easy to operate, and have great functionality features for cleaning, night locking, etc. In addition, it is warm in our house! We had spent the entire last winter always grabbing for blankets when we would watch TV because of the draft from our old aluminum frame and single pane windows. We have 22 windows in our home and we just got our latest utility bill?it had gone down over $300.00! The energy savings alone has completely offset the payments on our new windows! Our new windows have helped our home retain its classic charming 1950?s look, but with all the bells and whistles of today?s energy efficiency standards. Your office staff is helpful and caring. We love Katie! And your install team did an absolutely amazing job. They paid close attention to detail and did it right. Our house had some crazy things (like our old window in the bathroom had been installed from the inside and tiled in). The only way they could get it out was to break some of the edges of the shower tile, but guess what?!?! We brought the guys our few extra tiles and grout and they re-did the tile around the window sill for us and it looks fantastic! They truly went the extra mile! All in all, from the first night we decided to sign the sales contract to the completion of the job, we have not had a single moment that we regretted our decision to upgrade our windows using your company. The salesperson was VERY informative and made it easy to choose the windows that I needed.The quality of the new windows is very high and I'm enjoying a warmer house and a smaller energy bill. They also look really nice from the inside and the outside. The white window frames add a fresh trimmed look to the house. The vinyl frames don't sweat and they are easy to clean.

The have a lifetime transferable warranty on the glass/Window and Screens to say just a little. The windows are amazing, the reduction in outside noise, has already been incredible. The Windows have so many awesome features, you really need to see them to believe them. I was telling all the neighbors even during the install, had a few into the house to look.We have had ?another company? install windows in a different house, and the whole experience was just awful, the product did nothing the sales person said it would, and they would never even come replace a screen that came bent. Integrity is very important in business these days. If you say you are going to do, then do, and HARLEY EXTERIORS does and did and I am positive will, if we need anything else. I hope beyond hope, that the people we find to redo our lower level fix from the ?flood? are half as great as HARLEY EXTERIORS have been, then we are all set.You are all FABULOUS, and deserve a big THANK YOU. The contractors were there on time. They were very respectful of our things. They covered everything. The window installation was done in one day and they cleaned up everything after they were finished. You would not even have know that they were there, except for the new windows.
