Fast Water Heater Company

Over all, excellent. I was regularily updated on scheduled appointment, well in advance and all the way to actual service. Technician Brandon met with me before work was started, informing me of what he was going to do. Work went smoothly. The quote was just as promised. Very pleased with this service.

Our water heater stopped working. I called Fast Water Heater in the morning, and they had a truck outside our house by 11am. Wow! I think we did get lucky with the scheduling, but at any rate the office was very responsive and flexible in figuring out a solution for us and squeezing us in to their day. The pro arrived and immediately got to work, explaining what needed to be done in a clear manner. There was a little more work done than we expected---an expansion tank apparently was necessary, and the flue needed to be enlarged. He was professional and friendly throughout the installation, clearly explained the operation of the new heater, and was clean and neat in his work. Most importantly, we're taking hot showers tonight!

I ended up contacting them through a couple ways, when I went through Angie's list and again when I went through the Home Depot (which just redirects to them). I got a quote but when I went to schedule the service, the salesman would not call me back or respond to my emails. After several days, I called the main number and got somebody else who explained my sales guy was on vacation and he begrudgingly setup an appointment with the installer. The installer came out and looked at the setup and said I needed to have the city replace the water meter and explained how to have that done and that he would come back once that was complete. The installer was A+. Great, knowledgeable guy. I coordinated with the city to get this done - it took about 3 weeks. Because of the friction I got when I went to the main number, I tried going back to my salesman to get the install scheduled again. Again, no response to emails to phone calls. FInally I called the main number very frustrated. Again, they said he was on vacation when I called just a couple days before but I COULD ONLY WORK WITH HIM to schedule my install. I told them I really would prefer not to but they said I had no choice. Then, they said he was on another call and he would call me back. He never did. I ended up going with a different company and it all went very smoothly. There guys are jerks and I would not recommend you work with them. I hope the installer finds a better place to work because he was great.

Phil did a great job! He was thorough, professional and explained everything clearly before starting the job. He worked quickly and was very conscientious of his surroundings, cleaning as he went along and again at the completion of the job. I'm very happy with the installation of the Rheem Water Heater and have nothing but great things to say about Phil's work!

Their website touts a focus on customer service. My experience was much, much different. I went to Home Depot and scheduled the install for a new water beater three days later. The afternoon before they called to reschedule. When I asked why the appointment changed the woman told me she didn’t know. I explained the inconvenience of scheduling our whole day around the install and she replied, “...so what do you want to do?” Since I had no hot water I had little choice but to take the new time slot. Two hours before the end of the re-scheduled time I received another call canceling the appointment because the tech had a personal matter come up and they wanted to re-schedule FOUR DAYS LATER. Again I explained I’d have to take another whole day off work. The same customer service woman asked, “...so what do you want to do?” I explained my options were to wait for a whole week without hot water (because they could not honor their commitment) or I could choose another company. Again, “You’re right. So what would you like to do?” I suggested splitting the cost of the second vacation day I’d have to burn and she stated they “typically offer a $50 credit for rescheduling” but this was the first time it came up—despite two re-schedules— so I suspect it’s not “typical.” I suggested a $100 credit and they eventually agreed. I decided Id rather deal with a company that had some measure of pride in the way they treat people. I ended up paying $300 more to another company to get it done. I understand issues come up and schedules change, but I won’t patronize a company that is indifferent to the issues they cause by their own inability to honor their commitments.

Excellent....arrived ahead of time after calling first. Eric S., was the tech and he was great-professional, easy to deal with, super clean-up. This is my second water heater installation with Fast Water Heaters and the first time, 12 years ago, was just as good. The old water heater had a 6 year warranty and it (and the installation work) lasted almost 12 years.

Excellent. My phone conversation with this company was excellent. The gentlemen was very patient as I found the information [brand, size, etc] he required to send a technician. Brandon explained the process and cost and was very courteous. His post clean up from the work demonstrated exceptional attention to detail.

Went well. Professional job. Explained the contract and estimates thoroughly. Finished on time. Only problem is that I now have mounds of paperwork to file or recycle.

Work could not be performed. They do not install hot-water heaters purchased from Lowe's, as they are not able to honor the warranty of their hotwater heaters.

We continue to learn about our home, and this was one of those times. Because a boiler is used for heating the house, we had another option -- which we learned about a couple days after talking with Fast Water Heater Co. In the long run it made more sense for us.

My water heater recently broke and found out that it was over 15 years old. Fast Water Heater was great and came out the next day to do the work. Phil was excellent in explaining everything to me. He did an incredible job making sure everything was perfect and I will be definitely using them again!

The first appointment on Monday (7/23/18) was completely missed and when I called and enquired Kyle Herzog who set up the appointment on Sunday, he told me that he was going to find the driver and call me back. The appointment slot was 11 am - 5 pm and I made the call around 5.15 pm. After 15 minutes or so, he called me told me that I was scheduled for Wednesday and not on Monday as we discussed when I set up the appointment. It wasn't fair. He then scheduled me for Saturday as a first appointment and gave a shorter window of 9 - 11 am with a 30 min call ahead. No one has shown up and I have not received any call yet and by 10.30 am I started calling Kyle and every time I was hitting voicemail. Per his suggestion, I called their 1866 number and that was busy. I even sent a reminder on Friday and told them that I will have to leave at 12.30 pm and this being their first appointment (and arrival slot being 9-11 am) I expected no issues with that. I did not get any response to that email. I can accept missing appointment the first time. But again missing on the second appointment with no explanation and not readily reachable is a real concern. I don't think that is a fair treatment to the customer. I would expect at least someone to be there to take calls. And I also can't explain not keeping up the first appointment of the day on Saturday. I could not even reach them to cancel and I ended up sending an email to cancellation. Note that I had a good experience on Sunday until I made the appointment. Guess I have been unlucky with this A-rated service provider.

My 10-year old water heater started leaking one evening and I used Fast Water Heater Company to replace it with a new one - a Rheem Professional series. They sent David who was very professional, answered all my questions and was able to get the work done in just about 2 hours. The Angie's list deal and prior reviews of the company made the decision very easy for me. Pricing wise, they were very transparent. I had to pay a little extra in addition to the Angie's list price to get the extension tank replaced, which was necessary. Overall, great service and I would hire them again.

This company provides great communication and fast service. I needed to have a new faucet and garbage disposal installed in the kitchen and they were able to get everything done in less than a week. Their service technician, R. James L., was very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. He was able to answer all my questions in a manner that I can understand. I definitely recommend this company.

They never called or returned my email.

It went great. He arrived almost exactly at the time scheduled and replaced the water heater in under an hour. I would recommend Bryan and Fast Water Heater to anyone.
