Since the legal process is time consuming, and water damage to our home was ongoing, we chose to make the repairs, and continue our suit. After a year of legal bills, we went to arbitration and were awarded $65K from Seppala Homes and its subcontractors. for damage, but we were not reimbursed for our legal costs. I would never, never recommend this builder to any home purchaser.
Description of Work: We purchased a new home built by Seppala Homes, and within months discovered water related problelms. The company was extremely uncooperative in reparing problems with water collecting under the home, with incorrectly installed windows resulting in water intrusion into the walls, under the flooring, and under decorative rock. After over a year of argument we had an intensive inspection done on the home, and $60k worth of water damage was discovered. In spite of pictures of the damage, and lengthy inspection reports Seppala Homes denied responsibility even though the report clearly cited that the windows had not been installed incorrectly.
