It went fine. They said that we wouldn't even be able to tell they were here when they left... Not the case. We had to have them come back for some cleanup and repairs and our grass still doesn't look right. We'll be completely redoing our backyard lawn now, but we do not have water issues anymore.

The person on the phone was very professional. Unfortunately, because they are a great company, they were booked out for several weeks to even get an estimate. We were on a time crunch because we were selling our home, and the buyer's inspector found the water under the house. We needed someone to give us a bid within our 10 day inspection period. We ultimately had to use a different company, but if we weren't in a time crunch, I would absolutely call Drainage Masters next time.

I had a drainage pipe just outside my back gate buried underground that had been just cut off. When it rained hard, the rainwather would rise from the end of the pipe and rise to ground level and just pour across my back yard.  The Drainage Master people hooked up the line with more pipe and ran it underground under my back gate, along the one side of my house and across my front yard and the end of the prpe buried in earth and my rockery would then dump the water into a deep recessed storm drain.  Problem solved. The owner and his son wre both on site at different times.  It was a big job.  The crew was great, too.  These guys really know what they are doing. I couldn't be more pleased.

Was having problems with water in the crawl space of a recently constructed addition. Consultation with three drainage specialists concluded that perimeter drain was installed incorrectly. Decided to go with a specialist to correct the issue.
Steve came out to do the estimate. He was on time and professional in his approach. We discussed the issue and potential remedies. He answered questions to my satisfaction. After the initial visit, they provided a detailed summary of the work that needed to be done.  I requested references as well as a more detailed description of some aspects of the work which they provided promptly along with sketches of the planned installation. They back up the job with a ten year warranty.
The crew arrived on time and appeared very organized. The system was installed in one day with minimum disruption to the tenants. The site was cleaned up and finish work was very neat--a walkway of crushed rock next to the foundation where they had excavated. Excavated areas of the lawn were regraded and reseeded.
After a month or two of wet weather, I had a question regarding the function of the system. They sent a representative out and we determined that all was working well. They asked me to keep in touch if any more questions arise.
The only pause that I had was their location as the company is located in Vancouver, WA while the jobsite is near Hillsboro--a distance of 25 or 30 miles. I have had problems in the past with contractors located at a distance but this proved not be be an issue with this contractor.
The job turned out well and I would hire them again. They weren't the cheapest bid but I feel that, considering the job, the high level of service and followup, the price was quite fair.

We had trouble contacting the company. We left one message. Our first call was never returned even though the message was left during regular business hours.  We continued to call multiple times until a live person answered. From this point on, their responsiveness was much better.  We set up an appointment with Steve. They are very busy, and we waited 2 weeks for the appointment. Steve was very professional and didn't push us in any way to have anything done.  He said that the crawl space was dry and that all overflow seemed to be absorbed without any damage. We still wanted the problem corrected and decided to have the window well drainage problem corrected and the crawl space regraded. The workers arrived on time, were very courteous and professional, and completed their work. They laid down plastic where they were forced to walk inside the house and cleaned up both inside and out.

it went very well. Seth Kenworthy did the estimate, explained the process clearly, answered questions and worked through minor issues that occurred.
Their office was responsive, they showed up on time, did the work exactly as bid, got permits pulled and approved as agreed, and paid attention to detail in a way that left us very satisfied.
The quality of the work was excellent, and it was clear from watching them that they were extremely experienced in the work they did for us.
It's early to tell, but since they finished it has poured and the dry well has worked exactly as expected in every way.
I recommend Drainage Masters, our experience with them was very positive.

Over all, the service went okay.  It’s early to tell because we had a leak in our basement two days after they did the job.  They are coming back to take a look at it next week. I had no problems with them the first time they were here to do the job.

| |I've had several contractors out over the last 10 years to try to identify the source of and eliminate the leakage in my basement whenever there was heavy rain. This includes installing a sump pump, french drains around the house, gutter repair and downspouts moved.  This was, hopefully, the final issue addressed (leakage through the window).  So far, so good. We haven't really had heavy rain since the work was done in November, so it's too early to say whether the leakage problem was solved.  Their quality of work, price, and professionalism were all excellent, however, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

The job was well done, and they were flexible about minimizing the cost by my removing river rock ground cover myself, in preparation.  I was also given a significant discount for a long delay while they attended to a more urgent job.  Given that it was the dry season I was just fine with that.  I would use this service provider again.

The raingarden and creekbed projects went pretty well, and they both work due to the recent rains.  The creekbed effectively moves water the 110 feet to the basin they installed.  The water stays within the creekbed river rocks and that is a welcome relief frrom years of using the pipe which always would plug.
The two raingardens became a issue during the quote process.  Just keep in mind that raingardens do not include the plants.  I argued that it isn't a raingarden without plants, ...it is just a piped in hole in the ground.  So factor in that when making plans.
One of my main issues was water accumulating near my patio, and when it rains really hard the moisture travels up the patio all the way to my shed.  The french drain that they installed to correct this issue FAILED.  The quote contained a cobble block wall with the drain, so when it failed to work it really made a dent in my wallet.  A subsequent correction was about 75 % effective...but I had to PAY even more to have that done.
The guys doing all the MANUAL work were good.  My issues with Drainage Semi Masters was a failed project, designed by them.  Just make sure you get in writing what they plan to do if a project fails.  A simple, "Oh, we'll make sure you're happy," doesn't cut it.  I wish I put that little tidbit into the contract.
Heather in the office did the scheduling and kept in contact via email.  If Steve or Seth tell you they'll have this or that by blah blah, then factor in at least a few extra days.  I didn't hear from them since I had faxed the contract back, but they showed up on time on the date to start.  So they have that going for them.

Drainage Masters were great. They came out a couple of times to check everything out. Everything was right on budget. I had another company come out, but I think Drainage Masters were better overall. They other company wanted to put in fancy pumps versus putting in a drain. The drains cost less than the sump pump the other company tried to sell me. I would give them A's all around.

Drainage Masters came out on the day we were going on vacation and started the project. Once they finished, a gutter company came out to install new gutters and downspouts around the house. When we came back a few days later, all the work had been completed with the exception of a few missed connections due to some miscommunication. Drainage Masters came out right away and installed the missing connections. We were very happy with Drainage Masters timeliness, work and professionalism and would certainly use them again.

The work conformed to the estimate.  The estimate was a relatively conservative approach to leakage into my basement. The work was done efficiently and effectively.  The problem was resolved.  Our basement is dry for the first time in years.
