Lowes

It went fine. They had the best price and their pricing was good. They were okay. The only thing was they didn't do the trim but they came back. Overall they did an okay job and overall I would recommend them. When they came out to do the estimate, the installer came with the Lowes rep that did the job so there was both the installer and the estimator there to look at the job. The Installers took of their shoes when they came in the house. They were polite and efficient. They got the windows done pretty quickly. They cleaned up after themselves and they were tidy.

Lowes gave us the most reasonable price. The job went well. They were very thorough, knowledgeable and professional.

They were not clear about the pricing and how the work needed to be done. One thing about them that I found a little strange is that the water heater did not have flexible hoses, it had copper pipe. The company that we ended up using had all that was necessary to replace the water heater in his truck, however with them it was not the case. They told me that the best way to handle it was to have someone come out and look at it before they did the work which was a $40 charge. If I did not do that and they had to drive all the way to the store that would be a $40 trip charge.

I decided to go to Lowe s because the windows were inexpensive. They did not end up installing them, though. The experience of finding and buying the windows was good.

Overall, I really like Lowes' for their convenience and selection. I purchased several Pella windows from them earlier this spring to replace the old aluminum ones on my home with the idea of increased energy efficiency, but also to make cleaning a lot easier. Getting an estimate was no problem, and they have a decent sized showroom to tinker around in to help with decision making. In the end, the worst part about dealing with Lowes is the lack of sales associates available on the floor when you need them. Hitting the intercom to sound for a salesperson in the department you need is not something I've found very effective. But isn't that how it goes? Someone's usually there when you don't need help, but then it's like hunting down a unicorn when you do need assistance. Bring some trail mix. You'll be there a while.

The process went smoothly. I found the products I wanted immediately, and the clerk set up the purchase and installation in about ten minutes. She also arranged to have them delivered in two days. I was disappointed that the installers didn't arrive until nearly 6 p.m., when I'd been told they would be there in the morning (and I'd skipped church to wait for them.) However, they were friendly and careful about carrying the appliances over our new laminate flooring. They installed them quickly, and we are pleased with them.

These guys really know what they are doing. The gave me several options for floor installation including providing one of their contractors. I used their materials and did the installation myself (twice) two rooms.

WOW! RANDY AT LOWES WAS SO HELPFUL. HE STARTED WITH HELPING US PICK THE RIGHT CARPET FOR OUR FAMILYROOM (KIDS, PETS AND HEAVY TRAFFIC). HE WAS GREAT AT ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS THAT WE MAY HAVE HAD DURING ORDERING, AWAITING FOR THE CARPET AND GETTING INSTALLED. HE WAS THE BEST.
