We agreed to be home around 2:00 p.m. to accept delivery. At around 1:15, we received a call from Kevin telling us he would be at our house in about 15 minutes. We explained we were unable to be there earlier that expected, and in fact would probably be a little late because we were just then walking from the church to the gravesite. Kevin started yelling at us, insisting that we said we would be home. My husband and I were very upset, and could not believe his behavior, especially considering our circumstances. He was rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, and completely unwilling to work with us to resolve the timing issue. In addition, we were told by the seller of the table that he did not pick up the ping pong table attachment that was included with our purchase. His driver said he didn't have room on his truck, so he just left it. The table was never delivered to our home, and as far as I know, he still has it in his possession.

They were prompt and did a great job on time with no additional fees.

We needed to replace carpeting in our basement and therefore we have to have the pool table broken down and moved. We had another company (Champion Billiards) break down the table and move it to our storage room. However Champion's price to re-assemble once the carpet was in was $475 (including new felt). Higgins beat their price by $100 and showed up on time and did a great job installing my pool table. Only negative was they did leave some of the staples in the carpet but other than that it went perfectly. I would definitely use them again.

Kevin and I exchanged messages for quite some time, due to my timeline uncertainty, and he was always pleasant and quick to respond to my questions, comments and concerns. When we finally scheduled the day and time, I felt confident he would be prompt and professional. On our agreed upon day, Kevin arrived on time and was incredibly friendly and professional. It turned out that Kevin and I had similar interests and we immediately struck up conversation and I felt like I was talking with a very good friend. The process of dismantling the table was done in a manner in which I felt like Kevin was working on his own table. He was extremely organized and was confident in his own process. I would highly recommend Kevin to any friend, family member or or Angie's List user. Thanks Kevin!

He walked me through exactly what needed to be done and was extremely patient when it turned out I had misplaced the pool table screws and he had to make another trip out to assemble the table. They were very nice. My table looks as beautiful as the first time I had them move and re-assemble. I've used this company 3 times for this and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Kevin was outstanding start to finish. He taught us about pool tables, gave lots of advice, and was an overall friendly guy. I gave him short notice on a install date and he did his best to arrange things to get it to me on the day I wanted it. Can't say enough good about him!

I contacted Higgins Billiards Supply in December 2011 after finding them here on Angie's List. After a number of emails (17 across two months) regarding replacing pockets for my table that the dog had chewed and including pictures so the Higgins Billiards could match the style and color of the replacement pockets Kevin and an assistant showed up to my house to replace the pockets. When they arrived they did not have pockets in the color I had requested nor style. This was not indicated prior to them arriving at my house. I had medium or brown pockets with a shield. Kevin arrived with cordovan pockets with maroon tassels. I explained I wasn't sure if I liked that color and style. Kevin talked me in to going with them anyway and said the color would grow on me and that it was a and quot;trendand quot; now to have a two-tone look. During the visit Kevin noticed that I was a musician and requested an autographed CD which I gave him for free. After they left and I tried to let the color of the pockets sink in. It didn't and after two months as I was walking around the table have not used it since the pockets had been installed I noticed that two of the pockets were damaged and one had a cut in it. I contacted Kevin with my complaint about the color and the damaged pockets. Kevin: and quot;Please send a few pics. I will call or email to schedule a day to come see it. Kevinand quot;. I sent him the pictures and and he stated and quot;I will order another set. Kevinand quot;. Me: and quot;Great, thank you. Also I would prefer they match the color of the originals if at all possible.and quot; After three months of no response I wrote back to him with and quot;It's been almost 3 months since our last conversation. Please let me know the status of the replacement pockets described below. I think I have given a ton of leeway in this however it's getting a little too drawn out for any longer. Please do not take my laid back attitude as lack of concern for getting this taken care of.and quot; Kevin: and quot;Sorry, I did not get back to you sooner. The company that made your pockets is no longer in business. I have not been able to find the matching ones. I will try another supplier. Please remember I agreed to replace these under no obligation as you were present when the others were installed. I want you to be pleased. Just keep using the free pockets in the meantime.and quot; Four months later, without any follow-up from him, I sent and quot;I just wanted to check back in and see how things were coming along on this.and quot; To this day, another four months, I have not heard anything back from them. So this week I went and took on the apparently difficult task of locating replacement pockets in the style and color I originally wanted. In 15 minutes on Amazon I found a set and had them delivered in three days. HIGGINS BILLIARD SUPPLY = FAIL

They were very honest and looked out for my needs. They were cost aware and knowledgeable. I would recommend them.

If you go anywhere else to have a pool table moved or re-felted, you're making a huge mistake. Kevin was friendly, responsive, up front, gave amazing advice, and did a TERRIFIC job moving and installing the pool table. The take down of the pool table in its original residence went quickly and smoothly. The move and install went fantastic. Kevin paid attention to every detail, making sure to protect our carpets and floors during the move. He provided great advice on the positioning of the table. The re-felt looks amazing--honestly is one of the best jobs I've ever seen. These guys really know what they are doing, and their price was the most reasonable we found! Really terrific experience from start to finish!

Kevin and his assistant arrived on time. Work was performed very professionally, and results are excellent. I had originally asked to have the rubber bumpers on the table replaced as well, and replacement bumpers were brought to my home along with the new upgraded felt. However, upon inspection I was told that the bumpers on the table were fine and they did not need to be replaced. The estimate was revised and the price lowered accordingly. Kevin could have easily replaced the bumpers as I had requested and I would not have known the difference. I was delighted with Kevin's workmanship and integrity, and am once again enjoying my billiard table. I would recommend this company to others without hesitation.

We contacted Kevin about purchasing a used pool table from him and he emailed us as soon as one came in. He sent a photo and a description. We were impressed with his responsiveness to our multiple email and phone call communications. He is very knowledgeable, clearly loves what he does and cares about quality and about his customers! He spent a lot of time answering our many email and phone questions and we are thrilled with the Olhausen table we bought from him. He and his staff delivered it to our house (along with the accessories) and proceeded to put it together, while we watched, and shared with us information about the process. We requested a specific color felt to match the carpet we purchased and when he came with it, we all realized the shade of the felt was nowhere near close to that of the carpet. Fortunately, and by chance, he had not precut the felt and offered to order the color we needed direct from Olhausen which then had to order it directly from the manufacturer in England. It was worth the wait (approximately 2 weeks). We really appreciate that he took the time and extra effort to help us get the color and brand felt we wanted. As a result, he had to come to our house twice. Kevin took his time to make sure everything was done properly. We highly recommend him if you want to buy a used table or if you want a repair/refelting done to your existing table. When you email or call Kevin, that's who you get a response from/talk to and he's the one who comes to your house. We love that we didn't get a salesperson who then sends a subcontractor. Kevin takes pride in his work! We are very happy customers!!!

Gave me an estimate over the phone after I send them a picture of the pool table and pockets that were torn. They ordered the parts and scheduled a day to install. Were on time, professional and very thorough. Would highly recommend

We hired Higgins Billiard Supply to move our pool table from our old house to our new house. The entire process went flawlessly. Kevin and his assistant were great to work with: polite, conscientious, and 100% focused on customer satisfaction. We would definitely hire them again.

Exactly as Kevin had promised, he came a few minutes early, introduced himself, and got right to work. Took a couple of hours to finish the work, during which he patiently answered a few questions we had. No surprises, no problems at all. Just perfect service by a true professional. We'd be doing a lot more projects in our home if we could find more trustworthy, reliable service providers like him.
