TruGreen Lawn Care - 5730

Tru Green is the worst company with whom I have ever dealt.

They have been good. I get the annual service which is for the whole year. We had them when we first moved in and they had a nice lawn back then. Once they went with the other company, the front yard looked pretty good all the time, but the back yard was practically nothing. There was almost no grass. When we came back from California, the lawn was practically gone. I wondered what had happened. It turned out that they had merged with another company and each one thought that the other side was taking care of our lawn for us. Neither one came out and treated the yard for about 2 to 3 months, so it didn't get its pre-emergence treatment. We switched to another company because of that but that company never could bring that yard back. I had liked TruGreen so I called them and when I told them, they apologized and requested me to give them another chance. I decided to give it back to them and see if they could bring the lawn back. They have only had it a couple of months. It seems to be getting better. I think they will be able to do it. They have been easier to talk to and more eager to do a good job. They are more flexible and are trying to please me. The price is average because it is the same as what the previous company charged. They have done two treatments and it is the same dose. I can see some improvement. They came out and gave it another shot of weed killer. They told me that the grass won't grow in there as long as it has to fight the weeds. It already seems to be closing in a little bit. It's been about 10 days since they came out and did that. I am hopeful. It's not something that's going to happen overnight. They slipped up the last time but anybody could have a slip up. Even I do once in a while. Their responsiveness is excellent. They come when they say they will. They are professional. I would recommend them to someone else. They took care of my lawn before. They can do it again. In the fall after they do aerating and seeding, I will probably notice a big difference.

They are nationwide, so that allowed me to not worry if they were legitimate and that kind of stuff. I would give them an A. Obviously, they have the longer term care where they come out six times a year, and I think they are a little over priced for that, but when it comes to the aeration and seeding I think they are an A. The service is an A, but the overhead administration and management is lacking. In terms of timeliness of response, I give them an A, but in terms of responsiveness to my specific desires or direction, I would give them a B.

Signed on with Tru Green around March/April of 2010 to help get my lawn looking good (new house/ugly lawn). They were quick to come out and get me to sign up for the service, but getting the initial lawn spraying done was a bit of a problem. After several calls to them (and several weeks) they finally came out and did the initial spraying. That was pretty much the only glitch...they came out every 6-8 weeks to spray the lawn like clockwork. The weeds were kept at a minimum and the yard looked good. Overall, they did what they said they would..so no complaints.

Tru green promised to turn my lawn around. I told them in the beginning that I was giving them a year. After at least $1000, my lawn showed zero, and I mean zero improvement. Weeds still abound and the grass is very splotchy (just the way it started out). I terminated the service after the year. Whats worse is that they continue to call asking if they can come back. Save your money, do it yourself or find a company that will give you something for your money.

The yard never looked worse. When I spoke to the technician, he said he "had a business on the side" and he'd be willing to come out and treat my yard himself. I couldn't help but wonder where he was getting the chemicals he was using in his personal business.

Every time I call Tru Green the person on the other end of the phone is very helpful and very happy to answer my call. I would recommend the office staff to anyone I just do not like the treatment services anymore.

The gentleman that did our lawn was very polite and courteous. He did a nice job on our lawn. We do have a yearly contract with them and they have also followed all of our instructions. I have not had any problems with them.

I could see the difference they made in my yard. The front yard was beautiful, thick and green. They took the time to explain to me the chemicals they used because I had cats. They were always nice, clean cut and hard working.

When I first hired Tru Green, it was done on their reputation and other recommendations. Although the technician was always on time and had a positive demeanor, the actual performance was not that good. The lawn improved in spots, but got worse in others.

They did a wonderful job. Our grass grows great now, and they were great at getting rid of the weeds. Our lawn is so beautiful and green now. I love them and they really did what they were supposed to for us. They were the best and there are helpful and friendly.

After using the company for a while I couldn't see any difference in the lawn. I wasn t too happy with the product used, but I was happy with the workers and the company itself. I would not recommend this company to any one unless they changed their products. They were professional, I think, what they did just didnt make that much of a difference, I mean the chemicals and all. I guess my overall experience was about average.

I have been using Tru Green for two years, and the condition of my lawn has drastically improved. The technician lets me know in advance when he is coming over, and is always on time. If there is an area that needs extra attention on any particular visit, he deals with it immediately. I will continue to employ them as long as I live in this house.

I really have only had one instance where they kind of made me mad and needed to address them. In the fall, the leaves had not yet been raked and they went ahead and put down fertilizer anyway. After I told them about it, they made it there priority to not let it happen again. We have not had a single problem since. Other than that, they are a nice group of people. They are always on schedule and never cancel any appointments set. I also feel their pricing is very reasonable. I pay them per visit.

My husband does the lawn fertilization now, and he does just a good a job as Chem Lawn. The treatments weren't doing much, and we didn't see any sense in paying for something that we can do ourselves. They were always on time, and if a person doesn't have time to do it themselves, then call Chem Lawn. They charged us forty dollars for each treatment.

We really like how our lawn is weed free and very healthy looking. We didn't have to watch over them when they were working because they have earned our confidence in the past. They surpassed our expectation of them and we were very pleased with the results that they gave us.

They did a terrible job for me and I was not satisfied with them at all. They charged me a lot of money, yet didn t do any of what they were suppose to do. They didn t get rid of all the weeds, and the weeds they did get rid of grew right back and they wanted to charge extra to get rid of those weeds.

This company did a wonderful job of bringing my yard back to life. They used a good seed and they used a lot of it. They were very polite and explained to me about the chemicals they used. I was satisfied with their work and thought it was an excellent job done.

This was a very professional company and our lawn looked a lot better since using their services. They usually tried to call before they came out and were always on time. We had a yearly contract with them for a few years now and we felt they did a very good job.

They did an okay job. They showed up when they were supposed to. They called before they came by my request, so I could rake the yard. If you don t call, they will spray over the leaves. The downside is they were expensive and didn't evaluate the lawn very well. Some of the lawn was dead and brown, yet they wrote it was doing well on the evaluation. They could do better explaining what s going on with the grass.

They were suppose to make our lawn look better; however that didn't happen. After several treatments to our lawn, it looked worse. The attitude that I got from them was they didn't seem to care. Our lawn looked brown and dead. We had a contract with them for one year so I had to stick with them, however I would not recommend them to anyone.

I was not happy with their service at all. The weeds and crab grass was showing up in the areas they were spraying. When they sprayed, they also destroyed some branches on some of my azaleas. They tried to pressure us into a yearly contract, which was something I didn t want.

They provided a pretty good service. They had come before, but didn't always speak to me. I would prefer that they talk to me when ever they come out to do my lawn. The product they used on my lawn worked very well.

We have been employing Tru Green since the day we moved into our new house. The newly grown grass needed some help. The fertilizer used has done wonders to keep our lawn green and relatively free of weeds. The technicians have been polite, rarely late and conscientious. They have done a good job with our yard.

I really liked the professional way they represented themselves and how they did exactly what we had asked of them. My husband was very involved with the upkeep of the lawn and we just wanted to try them to see if it could improve our grass in any way. We didn t see anything in particular for results but I really didn t think it could have been improved to start with due to how well he took care of it. This company did everything we asked and treated us fairly. We would recommend them. I honestly don't know if we would hire them again.
