Repairman tightened the valve and the valve now works and does not leak.

The technician, Chris, arrived on time, and efficiently performed my semi-annual maintenance, including accessing the roof to complete the service. He explained potential issues we were facing with an aging (20 year old) system, and the approximate costs that would be associated with repairs if the specified parts were to fail. He answered my questions and helped to give us some things to think about regarding potential heat pump replacement. Very pleased with his service and would happily welcome him to work on our HVAC system again.

DO NOT HIRE THEM UNTIL YOU READ THIS: On Friday August 24, 2018 I was charged 337.00 for 2 hours of labor for replacement of a part that was under warrantee for my water heater. The Tech Pat left despite I still did not have hot water. 4 hours later, still no hot water, Tech Chris came Friday night, checked connections, said he was not a plumber and thought it might be a valve under my house in the crawl space. Saturday Pat came back. Determined the problem was a circulation pump (brings hot water more quickly to back of the house, an after installation of hot water heater and not mandatory for hot water). Removing it to check it, he got sprayed with scalding water because he was careless. He unplugged it. Still not hot water. I was told by Homer, if I did not replace that circulation pump to the tune of an additional 500 buck I would not get any hot water. He tried to bully me but I KNEW what he was saying was not true. Pat was suppose to come back Sunday Morning. He was a no show Now I was pretty certain the tech was inept and this company was trying to rip me off. I called the 24 hr number ad shortly Pat called me back 2 hours after scheduled appt. Homer then called me back and said Pat did not want to come because I was mean and yelled at him. 3 days without hot water, who would not be upset over the malarky from this company? Then Homer tries to ******** me and says "We told you, you will not get hot water unless you replace that circulation pump- which I know from owning this house, is just NOT TRUE. He then says: When did you become a plumber? With that, I tell him I am going to call another company and he then becomes more reasonable in tone and words. He will come with another tech on Monday 8/27. I called several companies and American Mechanical, over the phone, had me check the 2 valves around the pump and had me turn them to the off position. I have hot water, no thanks to these inept, unprofessional company.

Service man arrived promptly and determined system was functional but filters and coils were very dirty. I bought a plan to have 2 annual services to avoid this happening again. Service will be performed today. So far, I'm satisfied.

Check HVAC for on and off problem. Identified the problem and fixed it. Very nice and professional.

Installed a new residential HVAC on January 2018. Later found out they made mistake by putting one air return vent as air out vent. Had to stay home to let them fix the problem. Just half an year, the thermostat turned complete blank during the weekend, they asked for hundred of dollars of service fee for the problem with NEW AC! Totally unacceptable.

This was an all-around great experience and I highly recommend Kellam Mechanical. I submitted a request to replace my mother-in-law's in-wall ac/heat pump. Scott Kellam was the first to respond and call me (and the only to come up with a solution). He was able to find me a unit that fit the exact space of the old one. My interactions with him via Angie's List and phone were prompt and professional. My mother-in-law was very pleased with the installers who showed up on-time, were very polite, and even helped her vacuum the area when the old unit was removed.

The technicians were thorough, explained their process, and worked efficiently. They also arrived early, which was a bonus.

Fast, even replaced pipe insulation.

Diagnosed and repaired problem...issue with thermostat and disconnected wires from previous repair by another company. Joe the technician was very professional and pleasant. Did not get multiple estimates so am unable to judge how expensive they were. Diagnosis, repair, and system check took about 3 hours. Side note: Another company said we had problem with attic ductwork and they needed replacement. Second opinion from Kellam Mechanical was replacement not needed, just needed to blow debris from the lines through normal operations. Kellam was correct, and saved us thousands of dollars compared to the other company's diagnosis.

Joe Baker is very courteous and conscientious and explained everything very clearly. He helped in deciding which units to have installed. He definitely is an asset to the company.

Excellent the Service Technician came in and changed out a capacitor and the heat started working. The Technician was very knowledgeable about the type of heating unit our home has although it is quite old and was able to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently. Along with the great service, I was informed of the maintenance package the company has for our heating and cooling system which was afordable considering the age of our equipment.

They're excellent. They are thorough.

No cost for estimate. We had two other companies the second the estimate was almost the same. The third company wanted to do measurements on windows and around the house for $250, so Kellum was a good estimate.

They were very good. It was pretty expensive. I had got several estimates, and they came in the middle.

He was very good and very efficient he stayed about like two hours. and the unit is perfectly working until now.

It was determined my drain pipe was clogged. He cleaned it out, then checked the outside unit for problems as well. Unfortunately, hours later, I realized the unit was still leaking and I called again. They sent out their after-hours person, squeezing me in on a busy night, thankfully. He cut open the base of the unit and we made the horrifying discovery that the overflow had been collecting there; it was about 3.5 inches deep. He sucked it out with a wet vac, closed it up, and tested that the pipe was still draining properly. Everything has been good since. I really appreciated them making the effort to come back out and figure out the continuing problem.

Jerry was very punctual and professional. He was knowledgeable and recommended needed parts and upgrades. Very pleased with the customer service from the scheduling to a job well done. Thank you Kellam mechanical!

Technician (Bernard) was personable, timely, and thorough. He had to replace two capacitors (one on each unit), leading us to purchase the annual serice contract, which offers parts discount, etc.

This is a great company. Great communication, and great technician that came to my house today!!! Price is a per month maintenance contract payment.

Couldn't have asked for a more professional and thorough company to do the AC/Heat work on my 100-yr old home. I'd hire them again in an instant!
