We selected Mayflower Construction Group to renovate the kitchen and two bathrooms of our condominium. The decision was made after soliciting and reviewing three bids, Mayflower having provided one of the bids. We quickly narrowed the field to two companies and ultimately selected Mayflower based on the quality and timeliness of answers to our questions about their design proposal, and clarification requested about flexibility with schedule and familiarity with rules of working within the Rotunda guidelines for contractors. Nicoleâ s answers were detailed and she followed-up to ensure we were satisfied with her answers. Planning for the execution of the project commenced immediately upon providing Mayflower with our notice to proceed. Nicole once again proved invaluable to the design process by making sound recommendations on final decisions about materials and colors to meet our goals from their impressive inventory of options at their showroom, and perhaps of greater importance was staying within our budget. We increased the scope of the original project by having the flooring installed as part of the original scope, extended throughout the condo and added a new flooring solution to the enclosed balcony. Nicole played one other very valuable role by coordinating all permits required by the Rotunda for the various projects. Mobilization by the Mayflower Construction Group team was efficient, with flow of material and tradesmen moving in and out depending on phase of the projects. Coordination with the Rotunda management team was seamless to us. The work was performed as promised and quality was excellent. Our condo was transformed from a 70â s/80â s era style to a modern feel with upgraded features. Project clean-up was very efficient and Mayflower has been very professional in addressing the inevitable punch list items which in our case were very minor. Communications throughout the project were timely and clear. Based on research we conducted prior to awarding our project to Mayflower Construction Group we expected a good outcome but we were very pleased with the positive outcomes on every aspect of the project. If we have any future work appropriate for the services of Mayflower Construction Group, they will be the first call.

I hired Mayflower Construction for renovating two bathrooms after reading some very positive reviews on Home Advisor. The reviews were not exaggerated. I found their business model and customer service very easy to work with. I especially liked their bathroom packages which gave you plenty of choice of materials, and the ability to upgrade if you chose to do so. All was in there show room so you did not have to run around town choosing your fixtures. Nicole was also very responsive and helpful in putting the entire project together. I would highly recommend Mayflower Construction.

I decided I wanted to renovate and do something a little more modern that might need a designer to help me select materials. I was recommended to Mayflower and decided to just stop in their showroom. I spoke with Nicole and she walked me through a few choices and pricing. She came to the house next and began helping me pick out all the materials. We spent a few months going back and fourth before we finalized. When construction started, it moved so fast. The workers were very skilled and it took then only 8 days to complete a complete master bathroom and a vanity replacement in my second bathroom. I had a friend do essentially the same project with another company and it took a month. Overall, I'm extremely pleased and love the new bathrooms. They are absolutely gorgeous.

From the beginning, Mayflower was a company intent on making the customer happy. A friendly and helpful office quickly set up my initial home appointment and provided a clear estimate. Design not being my strong suit, I welcomed contractor/designer Nicoleâ s guiding hand in selection of materials and design. She guided but didnâ t dictate; helped with research but let me know when decisions involved a professional judgment or just a personal preference. She delivered samples of tiles and color wheels right to my home and otherwise made the pre-construction phase easier. She thoroughly reviewed the contract line by line to be sure I understood each section. Once the job was complete, she made it clear that Mayflower would still be there to respond to issues that might arise. Construction began and finished on time, and within the hours and terms allowed by my condo association. The office team was an efficient conduit for my questions or concerns and the few hiccups that did come up were dealt with quickly and efficiently. The construction team was friendly and efficient and did a good job protecting the space. The final product is gorgeous â beyond what Iâ d imagined could be done within my modest budget. I would highly recommend Mayflower to anyone contemplating a bathroom or kitchen renovation.

I cannot recommend Mayflower Construction enough. We hired them to remodel a bathroom for my 89 year old mother with limited eyesight who lives at the Rotunda in McClean, VA. We live in California. Needless to say, we thought it would be challenging to take on such a project remotely. However, working with Nicole from Mayflower was a breeze! The main purpose of the project was to make the bathroom safer for my mother, while also updating the original bathroom to something more modern. While we haven't visited the finished product yet, we were given videos, photos and updates every step of the way and it looks beautiful. Nicole helped my mother and some of her friends to make the stone and fixtures selections and did so with exactly the right amount of recommendations, reassurance, and simplicity that worked for her. The project went exactly as Nicole said it would from the start and it was perfectly on time and on budget. The workers were very considerate of my mother and her home and were always on time and neat. The communication and support we received from Nicole was the biggest key to making this project so easy and pleasant for everyone involved. We only wish we could hire Mayflower Construction for a project for ourselves in California.

This was my first renovation I had ever done and being a first time homeowner I was nervous. The folks at Mayflower Construction were very nice, accommodating, thorough and detailed. I appreciated that everything in the contract was broken down by price. They were also great about any add-ons my husband and I had to the project. Communication was good and being a first renovator, I didn't know all my options for certain things like outlets, finishing work on countertops or cabinets and a few of those things were decided for me but when I didn't like it, they quickly remedied the situation and that was very important to me. When the wrong color cabinets were ordered, they corrected the mistake within a few days. When our new range hood took 7 weeks to come in, they worked with us on timeline to finish all the finishing touches. When a company takes responsibility for a mistake and doesn't make excuses and promptly corrects it, that's a company I will hire and work with again. Because let's face it, nobody's perfect but honesty and integrity are high value words to describe a company and I definitely will say that Mayflower Construction Group is honest and has integrity.

Mayflower construction group remodeled my master bathroom. I got several different estimates and Mayflower was the only one that took the time to listen to what I wanted and give me what I wanted. The only problem we had was a shipment delay for the bathroom tile. I do not believe that was mayflowers fault. We stayed within budget. I am in love with my bathroom! I cannot say enough about the excellent workers from Mayflower. They went beyond and above to protect my property. They were very polite and considerate. Working with Nicole in particular and Mayflower in general, was a joy. Nicole made everything easy. I would definitely use them again.

We had our master bathroom remodeled. It was over 30-years old and in dire need of renovation. We needed to have everything removed and start over to include removing the bathtub and enlarging the shower. The bathroom vanity was replaced with a beautiful new countertop. With the room gained by removing the tub, we enlarged the shower and added a floor to ceiling cabinet. The new floor is beautiful. All walls and the ceiling were patched, painted and fresh. The renovation went off beautifully. We have a bathroom that we wanted to update. We received a high recommendation for Mayflower Construction Group. We contacted them and had them come out to the house for a consultation. This gave Mayflower an opportunity for us to meet with them and to discuss what we wanted. They got to see the existing bathroom, measure it and identify any initial problems, plumbing features and see the scope of the job. We followed up at their showroom. They had a multitude of flooring, cabinet, and wall tile samples. We were able to put together all the elements for our new bathroom. Mayflower made some proposals for a redesign and the price range. We had many discussions. We were able to agree on a design, price point (our budget) and they even offered up additional ideas and cost saving options. The renovation was expected to take 2 weeks. Other than waiting for the custom glass for the shower, the project came in on time. They work for perfection. They even went the extra mile replacing all vents, fans, lights, switches, door handles, and hinges. The floor is waterproofed and amazing. Now that the project is complete, we are thrilled and the end product. Mayflower coordinated every aspect of the project.

I will start my review of my experience with Mayflower Construction Group with the bottom line up front: Hire this team! I repeat, hire this team. I choice Mayflower to do a complete renovation (included partially taking down a wall and relocating the sink) after speaking with several companies. After meeting with Nicole and Alex at their showroom, I knew they would be the one. This was even before I received their quote. I just had a good feeling about them. Most of the companies you will be considering could probably get 90% of a job correct. What you are hoping to find is the company that takes pride in overachieving that last 10%. That is where Mayflower excels in my opinion. Here just a few examples: at no extra charge, they painted the ceiling in the adjacent rooms because the freshly painted kitchen ceiling would not blend. As I mentioned, we had a wall partially taken down and obviously, the movement of electrical and such would require some touch-up painting. This was something I was planning to do, but Mayflower asked us what color we were planning to use, and painted not only the walls near the kitchen but the entire hallway. There were also pleasant surprises like the lights Mayflower put under the cabinets. Additionally, dressing up the sides of the cabinets so they would not look plain. During the design phase, Nicole suggested a great sink that we love. Alex suggestion for the window was spot on. I love how that turned out. These are just a few examples of how Mayflower goes the extra mile. They were at my home for about a month. Their team took great care to ensure the daily work was contained in the work area while the rest of the house saw no impact. We have a 15-month child and the Mayflower team ensured the kiddie gate was always closed. At the end of each day, the area was left cleaned and no dangerous tools or other items were left around. Again, with the small child in the house, that was important to us. The result exceeded our expectations. Mayflower turned our vision into reality. I joked to Alex that my new kitchen does not belong in this house. It is way too beautiful! Mayflower can do the same for you.

After a plumbing disaster that resulted in the loss of my kitchen, basement and half of the hardwood floors in my living and dining rooms, Mayflower worked with me and my insurance company to come up with a renovation plan. The new kitchen is gorgeous, the new hardwood floors matched the old ones and the basement is so pretty I feel bad only using it for storage and my cats; litter boxes.

We could not have been happier with Mayflower. Alex did an incredible job redesigning our kitchen and bathrooms. Nicole was fantastic to work with helping us pick out materials and keeping everything on time. The crew was also great. This was our first major remodeling job and we selected Mayflower because of their competitive pricing and a very helpful and professional staff to renovate our rental condo. Mayflower delivered the work they promised and on time. What was especially attractive was their one-year guarantee of their work and the repair team was very prompt when we needed to have couple of things followed up such as re-caulking parts of the bathtub and replaced the defective bathroom mirror without question. We were looking for someone that we could establish relations with since we were also looking to renovate our own home and we will be working with Mayflower again soon.

Mayflower was able to balance multiple major projects and scheduling to ensure work was completed on time and on budget. Being an architect, I worry about contractors every day. I never had to think twice about Mayflower and their staff. Everyone is professional, experienced and makes you as the client feel safe and secure and that your project will be completed to the standards they would employ for their own personal projects. They corrected things we did not even pick up on, and if we noticed something during the construction they would immediately take care of it. Overall working with Mayflower was a great experience and we plan to recommend them for fiend's and family's kitchen and bath projects.

My wife and I built a vacation home 3 hours away from northern Virginia at Deep Creek Lake. We started the kitchen design with a person located near the vacation home, but we were not satisfied and decided to look for a new kitchen designer. We found Mayflower by searching the Internet. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism and attention to detail we received from Mayflower. Our original plan was to simply pay for a Mayflower design and purchase the cabinetry and granite through other suppliers near the vacation home; however, Mayflower asked for the opportunity to provide us with a price. We were pleasantly surprised at the attractive pricing and decided to have Mayflower purchase the materials for our new kitchen. Next, we were very impressed with the attention to detail for the shipment. Employees from Mayflower drove all the way to Deep Creek Lake the day the materials arrived to conduct a complete inventory to ensure everything was as expected. Our general contractor installed the cabinets. On a couple occasions he called Mayflower to get some clarifications about the design. Mayflower was very helpful in answering those questions. My wife and I were very impressed that the coordination between two different companies went so smoothly. In fact, the general contractor was so pleased with the quality of the design and ease of working with Mayflower that he intends to work together on other kitchen projects. We’ve work with many contractors and Mayflower is easily among the very best. We’re confident that others will feel the same.

Mayflower Construction exceeded our expectations from the very beginning. At the onset, we took bids from 3-5 firms for our master suite/bathroom renovation. Mayflower immediately went above and beyond the others by conducting a thorough walkthrough and interview, invited us to visit their showroom for a meeting, and worked with us diligently through the quote process, which included a design exercise that no other offeror provided. This was far different from the others that sent cost estimates with no detail; the fact that Mayflower was comfortably in the middle of the pack, cost-wise, sealed the deal (Nicole worked extremely hard to get us everything we wanted at the budget we needed). From the very beginning of the project to the end, they impressed us. First things first, if you have to remodel your kitchen (or any other room), do not look any further and hire Mayflower Construction Company. Now, I can explain why. Mayflower Construction Group is certainly present every step of the way, and I mean it - every-step-of-the way! A small company that values personalized service, quality, and realistic timeframes is hard to find. Moreover, the company values are self-evident from its owner, to the manager, to the construction team. It is understandable that for many people, renovations can be daunting and stressful; however, the Mayflower team makes each step pleasurable and enjoyable. Finally, as a practicing architect for 28 years (and an extremely picky one, as my clients would say), I never felt I had to supervise their work. Their professionalism is outstanding! The Mayflower team takes immense pride in what they do - something you will be able to enjoy for the rest of your life. I could not recommend them enough!

Mayflower did an awesome job start to finish. The 3D design software was very cool, and made it easy to pick what we wanted the kitchen to look like. The real thing was just like the design, exactly what we wanted and then some. Everyone is blown away by the final product, and all assume it costs A LOT more than it really did. They were professional, on-time, and went the extra mile to make everything right.

Mayflower did great work and was affordable compared to other bathroom remodeling companies in the area that we received quotes from. They also worked with us to try and fit our budget. We were nervous about a big remodeling project (we wanted all four of our bathrooms remodeled) because we heard horror stories from friends who had terrible experiences, but Mayflower made us feel completely at ease. They answered all of our questions and bent over backwards to address any concerns. We loved working with Nicole. She patiently walked us through the entire process (even when we changed our mind a few times!) and was very responsive to us. I will be recommending Mayflower to everyone!
