Zippy Shell Storage and Moving

The team at ZippyShell was great to work with. They were very responsive via email and phone to all of the questions I had about their service, process, rates, etc. It was also easy to reschedule delivery of my shells when we ran into a hiccup with the closing date/time. The teams that showed up for both loading and unloading were punctual, friendly, respectful and they seriously hustled both days to minimize the time they were there and maximize the time I had do deal with packing and unpacking. Thanks for being easy to work with during a very stressful time in my life!

It was so easy to use Zippy Shell! I had heard about pods and initially received a quote from PODS, but found that Zippy was cheaper. It was great and easy working with Arnetia to set up the drop off and pick up of the pod. We had the pod at off-site storage for about a month while we were moving and then had it delivered to our new address. This was such an easier and more efficient process than renting a storage unit and having to haul our belongings to the storage unit. I will definitely use them again in the future!

Great service. They picked up the units on time and the staff was very friendly. They were even able to accommodate a rush pick up. The driver called ahead and was very careful maneuvering through our yard. I will using this service on my next move.

The front office was great to work with. The four man crew that showed up on moving day was outstanding. They were very professional and their attention to detail was solid! The crew was friendly and efficient!! Highly recommended.

Packing up, team was punctual, professional, careful with our furniture and had a great attitude. Since we had to fill three pods, they were very diligent with their time and effort and got two pods fully loaded and carried away before mid-afternoon. They left the third pod partially loaded (per our request) allowing us to fill it with more boxes and items we didn't have time to stage. They picked it up on time two days later. Moving in (5 months later) everything was unloaded quickly and staged in our new home per our directions. They unwrapped our furniture and moved it where we wanted it. Again the crew was very efficient and professional. No damages, no breakage, nothing missing.

Working with Zippy Shell was easy from start to finish. I needed to move about 55 boxes of household goods to temporary storage while my condo was being renovated. The estimate provided was accurate and there were no surprises. I was able to request (and pay for) people to load and unload my goods. The crew that came out were professional and efficient. All my stuff was delivered in the same condition as it was when it was picked up. Working with Zippy to set up a dates and times for pickup and redelivery was easy and the staff was exceptionally responsive. Total cost--about $1200--included loading, pick-up, storage at Zippy facility, redelivery, unloading, 2 months of storage, and insurance/protection. I would definitely use Zippy again and will recommend them to friends.

The gentleman who dropped off the shell several months back was punctual, helpful, and professional. My items were kept safely in their storage facility for about 7 months and returned to me within 3 days of me calling to request them back. Bill Shannon, whom I believe is the owner, was involved, knowledgeable, and helpful. The workers who returned the storage shell and helped to unload it did such a remarkable job and their attitudes are so fantastic as well!

Fantastic. I wish all businesses operated like Zippy Shell of NoVA. They were outstanding for my move! Owner/operator Bill Shannon understands customer service better than any business I can remember, and his able team like Mary Diener are equally as impressive with their communication, service and flexibility. I priced storage units and Zippy Shell was the run-away price winner, but also blew the competition out of the water with immediate service and delivery and can-do attitude throughout my five months of renting from Zippy Shell. In the end, the delivery back to you of your possessions is as easy as the day they take it away in a Zippy Shell. I wish all businesses operated like Zippy Shell of Northern Virginia -- great experience!

I was really impressed with Zippy Shell's services. It was easy for me to request delivery of the pod, pick up for storage, and two other deliveries to different addresses. I did it all by email and communication was clear and uncomplicated.

Zippy Shell was great! The guys who showed up both times ( load and unload ) were very professional and careful when moving our belongings. The price was reasonable and they made our move stress free. I would hire this company again without question!

Zippy Shell was great- they dropped off and picked up the shell for storage at their site, then delivered with movers for a competitive fee to unload the shell. So nice not to have the shell sitting in our driveway for 2 months! Everyone was very professional. Rates competitive with other companies even for off-site storage.

Excellent service! Bill the owner was truly amazing and patient. My schedule changed multiple times and he was so accommodating for each change. Mary was so nice and helpful as well. The actual movers were so professional and worked quickly! I am a single woman and live alone and I felt comfortable from start to finish. We recently used Zippy Shell to move our items from our old home to our new home. Our new home was a couple of months from being ready so we had to store our items for two months as well. Bill and Mary were great with follow up and the movers worked extremely hard when there and were on time. Great group of guys to work with. Just a couple of small items were damaged during the move, which typically happens with moving. Overall, a great experience and would definitely use again.

ZippyShell was a breeze to work with. I corresponded directly with Bill (owner) and Mary, almost exclusively through email, to get price quotes, schedule loading/unloading of my unit, and arrange times for my unit to be accessible since I needed to sell all of the items inside. ZippyShell always arrived on time (typically ahead of schedule) and performed all of the labor for me for an extra fee (loading/unloading leftover storage goods into a different storage unit). I was appreciative of their flexibility and prompt responses to me inquiries throughout my time using their services. The guys they hire are also top notch.

Zippy staff arrived on time as promised, loaded truck within time given, were very courteous, professional and did a great service. I would hire them again and recommend them to anyone requiring temporary storage.
