Zippy Shell Storage and Moving

Zippy Shell was great to work with! We chose them because they were very personable and (sort of) local. The container was spotless and very nice when we received it and we had no issues with delivery or pick up of the container. I would definitely recommend them and use them again!

They make it pretty simple and aren't difficult if something goes a little awry. For example we put our lock on the wrong door, they resolved no issue/fee, and we had mover delays, they adjusted. Arnetia the Operations Manager was extremely responsive, helpful, and always professional. If I ever need storage pods again, I'd use ZippyShells.

We booked a Zippy Shell container to move our stuff. Very flexible regarding day to deliver the Zippy Shell container and picking it up full. The whole process was seamless. Customer Service made booking the Zippy Shell easy. The Zippy Shell container worked out very well. They were delivered to my home on time. We would definitely do it again.

The best experience with my move! I called the office and Arnetia was on it! I had a pod delivered the same day, and the delivery was seamless. I scheduled the pod to be moved and that was just as fast and efficient. I was nervous that during the pod transfer that my items would be a bit thrown around, but not one box moved or shifted!! I highly recommend Zippy shell for your pod storage needs.

After my folks passed away we stored family heirloom furniture, and other sentimental value stuff, and a gazillion photos, with Zippy Shell. Pod delivered to door, so convenient. Arranging to access shell was easy on sunny days. Low cost return delivery labor was great. We were able to take time to make decisions instead of regretting tossing it all.

During a very difficult move with challenging logistics, Zippy Shell helped to make the experience a bit easier. From having to book last minute, to the driver successfully navigating the container into a very tricky parking situation, to keeping our belongings safe and secure, everything was seamless and helped take some stress off my shoulders. We had an excellent experience with ZippyShell. The storage pod was delivered quickly and without hassle. We marked where we wanted it, and it was delivered exactly there within a day or two of our order, without us having to be around to supervise. Then when finished using it, they picked it up, also without us having to be around. Super convenient! There was plenty of space in the storage pod for all the materials for our whole kitchen renovation. The storage pod was also very sturdy and strong, and I had no safety or security concerns about keeping the kitchen materials inside.

Made a cross country move from VA to TX. Quote process and trailer drop off for loading couldn't have gone better. Worked with the Zippy Shell team in VA to ensure trailer was loaded and on its way in time for the specific delivery date needed. As expected, they couldn't guarantee a specific.date would work unless.there was ample time.for the transport process. I was.told by the VA team that once it was delivered, all I needed to do was call and confirm my date, and 48 hrs notice was more than ample.. I followed all of those instructions, had the movers on my end ready to go for that date I discussed with VA team. Called to confirmed the schedule drop off and the soonest they can do it was OVER a week from when I called. And zero customer service. You call the corporate line and they put in requests, but you won't know for 24-48.hrs the outcome. If that date they provide you is different than what was already very clearly worked out, you won't know for 48 hrs. And then, you have to call back and start the process ALL over. If they schedule on a Wednesday and you've been clear it has to be a weekend, guess what, you have to call back and wait maybe 48 hrs. Schedules fill up quickly and I'm now in a new city with no ability to really plan my move, because I'm at the mercy of back and forth. Thus, so are the movers. Take away what the VA team and I worked out, here is what they promise on their website: "Don’t worry, your things are just a phone call away. Now that all that stuff is out of your hair, we’ll keep it safe in one of our climate controlled and secure locations. Need something back? No problem, just give us a call, we’ll have it back in a flash." A "flash" is actually no less than 10.days and you best be available on that 10th day, or it will be another 10. Now I'll have thousands in extra hotel and other costs because they won't honor the original date and also there is no "two day" delivery. Don't bother with Zippy Shell. It's a cool business model, with a great website, they reel you in on the quote side, and then you are on your own. You are better off with the sketchy one truck and a dolly company.

The movers called before coming over and were available event earlier than planned, as the move was on a Saturday. They were professional and fast. We were pleased with the quality and price, would definitely hire them again!

Everyone from Zippy Shell was friendly, helpful, professional, courteous and responsive. It was easy to schedule, they showed up promptly, they carefully placed the storage pod on our property, they carefully moved our furniture out to pod and back in again a month later, and they carefully removed the pod. Outstanding service. The pod was extremely clean, as were the furniture pads that they used. Outstanding company.

We used Zippy to store our basement furniture while it was getting finished. It was super convenient. They dropped off the container right in the driveway and we had a few days to fill it up ourselves. 2 months later, I called them up and within just a few days, the container was back. I would definitely recommend them. They are also significantly cheaper than Pods.

We were doing some home renovations and needed to remove furnishings from the rooms so that carpenters had space to work. A Zippy Shell was the perfect answer. There was PLENTY of space inside to store ALL the furnishings. The Shell kept them safe and dry on our driveway through wet wintry weather. The door tightly sealed the cube. The shell was delivered to us sparkling clean in the MOST innovative (and entertaining) way - literally driving itself (by remote control) up a long driveway. Without needing a large truck to pull it, the shell could be much more easily maneuvered into just the most convenient spot. Arnetia Curtis provided punctual, professional and really pleasant oversight throughout the whole adventure.

I hired Zippy Shell Northern Virginia to move my belongings from downtown DC to my new home, and store them for a few months in between. I could not be happier with my experience. Zippy Shell was easy to work with and responsive -- always available by phone and with prompt email replies, and the moving team contacted me en route to my location as I was told they would. Also, I would recommend them for anyone moving out of downtown -- their containers can fit in a traditional parking lane. Also, having their own moving team makes it easier than working with a storage company where you have to coordinate with your own movers. I would certainly use their services again.

I'll be honest the past couple of days have been super stressful managing our home life with two kids, work, and moving. We are so THANKFUL for the zippy shell team for saving our move from being a disaster. Arnetia who helped with our reservation was so helpful and friendly. She was able to accommodate a change to our container delivery last minute. Sebastian was an expert at maneuvering the container. Angel and Phillip who came to help us wrap furniture and load the container were so friendly and hard working. They took great care of us, wrapping items with care and filling the pod to the MAX. We received delivery of the storage container timely for both loading and unloading and the price was reasonable compared to other storage options. Our point of contact, Arnetia was very responsive during coordination of the initial delivery and the final return of the container.

We recently had our basement finished. We had a ton of stuff stored in the unfinished basement and needed to clear it out for the 2 month job. I did not want to have to take it all to a storage facility and opted to have a Storage bin delivered to my home. After speaking with several different companies and looking through reviews, I decided to give Zippy Shell a try. they were easy to work with and came when they said they would deliver the box. After 1 week, I realized I was going to need a second shell. I called Zippy Shell, Arnetia took care of me and within days, I had a second shell. The guys who delivered them and picked them up were professional, and friendly and took care and were patient while delivering and picking up the shells. I absolutely would recommend Zippy Shell (and have already) to others.

The guys they sent were phenomenal and did a great moving my valuable things, including my pricey artwork. I highly recommend this company.

OUTSTANDING COMPANY. I tried to use the other guys and got jerked around with delivery dates. Called Zippy Shell, got what I wanted and when I needed it. They delivered a clean storage container and I couldn't be any happier. Great service from the moment I spoke to the representative to delivery. They kept me informed every step of the way.
