The customer experience with Hydro-Tech has been up and down for years. They went through a phase were they literally didn't answer their phones for months. They sent their overseeding crew out in a tropical depression so you could watch the grass seed you just paid for run off your lawn and into the gutter. And the winterization scheduling starts so late you're usually playing chicken with the first freeze. But the final straw was sending out a crew that was so incompetent that they failed to check the back water faucet to see if the water was on! After they putzed around for 3 hours on my property trying to solve my "pressure problem" I got a bill for $400. I offered to pay for the parts (sprinkler heads do wear out) but not the $110 for labor as the work was not only unnecessary, it forced me to spend an hour of my time readjusting the heads so that they wouldn't water the sidewalk or my trees. The phone got indignant and didn't care that I'd been a customer for 8 years. Hope the $110 is worth it, Hydro-Tech, because you're never setting foot on my property again.

Yoni Wiss was great to work with and was very respectful and helpful. He made sure everything was working correctly showed me how to work the system. I love that they have the latest technology and it integrated with my smart home. I was really worried that my yard would be destroyed from what I have seen from others, but they did a great job you can barely tell they did work.

A 16 zone irrigation system The company committed to a delivery date and in spite of terrible weather completed the job on time. It was a complicated job with close to 100 sprinkler heads being installed on my property. The workers arrived on time and the salesman even showed up before the work crews in order to plan out the day in advance. The company wanted to complete the job in one day and called two additional crews that had finished earlier jobs and put significant resources toward getting this job completed. Which they did. The system they installed came with an iPhone app that allows excellent control of the system, interface with rain sensing technology and integrated into Weather information from the Internet. Salesman showed up following day and she’ll be how the system worked in great detail. He additionally spent time configuring the system on my behalf. I would happily use this company again and and please to endorse them.

Original contact made due to Angie's List reviews. Sales representative was on time and personable - and he provided the estimate on site. Price was reasonable and in line with market (we had two other estimates), and recommendation of an independent plumber for back flow prevention valve installation proved efficient and reduced overall cost compared to other estimates, since Hydro-Tech took no markup on the plumber's work. Installation was handled on schedule by an experienced crew, who as promised minimized appearance of cuts to lawn etc. Post installation a worker returned to make a couple of small changes (at no cost) per our request, and the salesman returned to assist us with programming using the iPhone app. The overall experience, especially the sales representative Billy, exceeded expectations.

We needed a sprinkler system for our house in DC. Hydrotech delivered on time and budget, and the finished product is great so far. The process was smooth and painless. Our rep Billy was professional and his sales process was smooth and straight-forward. We felt very comfortable with the product recommendations and design of our system. We had a lot of questions, and Billy was consistent with his advice and information. Price negotiation was transparent and hassle-free. Billy was always available and communicated well throughout the process. Come install day, the crew was professional and confident—and got the job done in a day. We contracted Hydrotech to handle the plumbing as well, and they dug right in and did a great job. The process of installing a sprinkler definitely requires some digging. Hydrotech dug clean trenches, and the yard healed fast. Only negative feedback: one of their crew tracked mud in our house and in our porch. It wasn't an incredible amount, but we had to clean after they left. If you end up working with them, I'd just let them know this a concern.

Yoni Wiss managed the work from start to finish and exceeded expectations. Prices were very competitive without sacrificing quality. The crew showed up on time on the date scheduled. Installed system per plan. Yoni showed me how to use the app that controls the system from my phone. He was even willing to modify the install so I could add a zone on the day of the work. Had a great experience and highly recommend.

All good. Yoni and his team get the highest marks. The only issue was punctuality, but that is to be expected with contractors, given their unpredictable schedules.

Contacted Hydro-Tech for a quote for lawn irrigation system. Representative Yoni Wiss contacted me right away and within several days I had a quote for an irrigation system. Hydro-Tech gave me a fair quote, using excellent materials and Yoni explained the system to be used in detail. The company worked with my schedule to set up an installation date and in less than 30 days after receiving the quote, an install team, led by Yoni, showed up to install the system. The workers that did the install were quite, clean and did not make a mess. Yoni again set up and went over the operation of the system. I will have no reservations about recommending Hydro-Tech to others or using them again in the future.

I called Hydro Tech to give me an estimate for an irrigation system. Within a couple of days Yoni Wiss came to the house. Yoni walked the property with me to establish my watering requirements. I had several questions which he answered to my satisfaction. I expected him to tell me he would have an estimate for me in a couple of weeks. But, he went to his car and in less than half an hour had an estimate for me. I was surprise at the quickness of the estimate, but he told me he had already sized my property via Goolge maps. He had a written estimate including all the parts and service the company would provide along with the cost. Yoni was very responsive, professional and quite knowledgeable on the system he recommended. I signed the contract on 3/29/2018 and the work was scheduled for 4/17/2018. The crew and Yoni showed up right on time. Yoni marked the location of all the heads with colored flags and walked me through the layout to explained the coverage of all the zones. I requested some modifications which he made for me. Since, the system controller (Rachio) relies on an App and internet connection, Yoni helped me get my computer set up and showed me how to operate it. The crew was very friendly, and professional and answered any questions I had. They were very neat laying the water lines and placing the valve boxes. They replaced the sod and tamped down all the trenches. They cleaned up all the dirt and remover all the material waste. I was pleased with the condition of the yard when they finished. I was impressed with one of the crew members (Antonio) who did the in-house plumbing for the water supply and electrical connections for the control unit. His work resulted in a very neat and clean looking installation. Antonio tested all the zones after the installation was complete, he showed me how the system worked, he adjusted all the heads for coverage and showed me how to adjust the heads. The outstanding work performed by the Hydro-Tech team resulted in a very pleasing experience for me.

I just moved into my new home at Potomac Shores, VA. Prior to the move, I contacted Hydro-Tech for the installation of a new irrigation system. Yoni was my principal point of contact. From start to finish, I could not be more pleased with the service provided by Yoni, as well as the installation job completed by his team. Yoni took the time to explain the process, and set up my new Rachio wireless controller, explaining everything that I needed to know to manage my new system. The installation team completed its work with maximum efficiency, and left the job site as if the work areas were not even touched. Hydro-Tech also uses the best sprinkler components offered by the industry, and I am certain that my system will be functioning without issue for years to come, Having been a previous customer of Hydro-Tech at my previous home for more than 15 years, I can say without question that their installations are the best in the industry.

Went very smoothly. The workers started around 7:30 and were done by 3 pm with all 6 zones. They cleaned up after themselves, left no trash and the ground looked like it was hardly touched.

They handled a small repair efficiently and the service person was pleasant and professional. I've had them doing regular maintenance for years, and have generally been very pleased. Probably not the least expensive you might find, but the service quality is very good.

His crew was professional, punctual and very careful with the digging, installation and cleanup. He monitored every step of the way and managed the project impeccably. I recommended him to many friends and will recommend him again because of his reliability and reasonable rates.

My husband and I have used Hydro-Tech several times to service our sprinkler system that came installed with our home and have been disappointed each time. On the most recent (and final) occasion, they showed up over an hour after the 5 hour window they provided, and only after we called to follow up. When they repaired a break in electrical wiring in our system, we were charged for materials without any explanation - only to find out when we received our bill two weeks later - and were also charged for labor for an assistant technician which we did not request. Each time, I have also felt that the technicians were lingering unnecessarily and charging us for the extra time. I cannot recommend Hydro-Tech, as they are not transparent with their business practices, nor have they ever been apologetic about inconveniencing their customers.
