I had experience with them before. They're very good on follow-up and maintenance. They're very reasonable.

Overall, our experience with Hydro-Tech was excellent. Andy Briddell, our point of contact, was very professional as well as very patient in explaining all aspects of the proposed system. He was very responsive to email when we had questions on the installation schedule, even though he was quite busy with many other customers. Andy was very knowledgable on all facets of the irrigation system and seemed to really care that things were done right. You could tell that he really enjoyed his work. The installation crew arrived right on time and were exceptional in their coordinated operation. They performed the excavations to obtain access to the main water line in record time, leaving the affected areas almost as if they were untouched. They had no trouble running the irrigation pipes under our decking and around our existing landscaping, again with no visible impact. The crew worked tirelessly and completed the entire installation in one day. We evaluated other bids, but Hydro-Tech was not only the most comprehensive, but also the least expensive! I would highly recommend Hydro-Tech to anyone seriously considering a compllete irrigation system. And try and get Andy...he was great!

Reference CRP Case 30099. On February 21, a Fairfax County Building Inspector identified an unapproved backflow valve installed on my irrigation system while inspecting the replacement of my water main. The unapproved backflow valve was installed by Hydro-Tech during the installation of my irrigation system in July 2011 without the required county permits being obtained. I reported the unapproved backflow valve to Hydro-Tech on February 21 and they replaced the valve on February 24 after having obtained the required county permit. On February 28, Hydro-Tech informed me the county inspection was approved. Around 6 PM on March 1, I discovered a substantial leak at the new backflow valve and immediately called Hydro-Tech, but had to leave a message since they had closed for the day. I clearly stated in the message where the leak was i.e., at the new backflow valve you just installed. The following day, the service manager called while I was in a meeting and left a message saying he needed more information about the specific location of the leak before he could send someone out and advised me to shut off the water to the valve. I called the service manager back within 30 minutes of his call but he didn't answer, so I left a message that essentially asked, "the valve is leaking, what additional information do you need to send someone?" It's now March 7, and I've yet to hear back from him. Update to above: Finally heard back from the service manager on March 12. Turns out they sent someone to repair the leaking backflow valve on March 2, but didn't inform me of this until the call on March 12. Unapproved backflow valve installed along with 5 zone irrigation system July 2011 Unapproved backflow valve in irrigation system identified by county building inspector on February 21, 2012 Unapproved backflow valve replaced with approved backflow valve on February 28, 2012 at no cost. New approved backflow valve found leaking March 1, 2012 Leaking valve repaired March 2 at no cost. March 26, no leaks & system performs satisfactory. I've received 5 calls from Hydro-Tech since the repair on March 2 to update this report. The above report and rating has been adjusted since submission of original report to reflect my overall personal experience with this company. I hope others will find the information useful when selecting an irrigation company.

I found them on Angie's list. They are very reliable. The person that comes in very professional and friendly. They are good to work with.

The guy who came out was knowledgeable and did a good job designing the system. He looked at what we had planted and designed it around that. They did it on schedule and came when they said they would. They didn't destroy the yard. I didn't compare their prices because nobody else would return my calls.

We just moved into a new house and we are getting bids. I did not deal too much with them. They came to the house to evaluate and then called me and gave me an estimate. I will consider their quote.

They are very reliable and friendly. A great company to deal with.

They were awesome. They did a great install. I have them do the service every spring and fall. They are a real good company. They are a little bit on the pricey side but for what they installed, it was worth the money.

Met with Joe multiple times to get design right with yard and 5 flower beds. Installation was when they said it would be and followed up to get the kinks out of the system. They were punctual. I would recommend them to anyone. They are not the cheapest but well worth the money.

I found them to be very professional, efficient and thorough. The job took as long as they promised. You could tell that this is something that they did all the time, so they knew how to do it quickly and correctly. Overall, I am very pleased with this company.

Great job, great company. They do what they say they will and in the time frame provided.

Overall it went well. Chris, the guy who came to write up the estimate and walk the system with me was knowledgeable and didn't recommend any improvements that weren't necessary. He explained the multitude of additional things they could do had I wanted, but didn't indicate that he was interested in trying to sell me on anything I didn't actually need. I felt the estimate was a little on the high side, but since they came highly recommended here and they were insured and registered and the like, I thought it was worth it. They were able to schedule the work for the following week. They said they would arrive between 7am and 9am and they arrived a little past 7am, which worked out well for me. They did the head replacement work while I finished getting the kids ready and when I went to leave they had gone through the first few zones and readjusted. I had to explain to the workers that I wanted the heads raised since after years of settling they were barely clearing (and in some cases not) the turf, resulting in flattened grass in a circular pattern around the heads. After some back and forth about what I meant and what the contract was for they got the idea and started raising the heads. A few days later I got the chance to walk the system and run through the zones and everything looks much better now. I guess my recommendation is that they do good work, but make sure the workers understand what is exactly expected. This was the only concern I had.

We have been very happy with the service they've provided. They are always here when they say they will be, and are efficient with their time. They are professional and have always done a great job of finding and repairing any leak they may find in the system (once).

We have used them before and they do an excellent job. It is a one day installation, they are clean and neat, and you can’t even tell that they were there.

They are a good company. I had an irrigation system put in by another company and we put it in before we did our landscaping design on our house. The plants and the trees grew and subsequently blocked the sprinkler heads from giving full flow. He identified the areas where they had problems like that and he recommended solutions as far as having somebody from his company come out and make them do some different configurations. They have called but I have not scheduled them to come back out yet. They did follow up and called to make an appointment. They did come under the price they quoted.

Contracted Hydro Tech about estimate for sprinkler. Andrew returned our call and set up an appointment. He missed the appointment and a few days after set up a new one. Estimate was good and we told them to start. It took several weeks to get an install date. Now that it's in we are pleased.

Like just about everybody that does business with them, we were very impressed. My only small complaint was that they didn't put the control panel where I wanted it so I had to move it myself a few months later when I reorganized my garage. Put that wasn't hard I should have planned it better on my end.

I really can't say anything negative about them. Oh, okay, service contract a bit high but to be expected in DC. Very responsive and nice to deal with.

I've always found them professional, punctual and hard workers. The work has been completed sucessfully. I plan to continue to use them as long as they maintain these standards. It often takes weeks for an appointment, so I know that others share my opinion.

I was very satisfied with them. They explained the service very well. They explained what was wrong with it and fixed it right then. I have already called them again.
