Air Duct Maids

They did an excellent job. They took care not to soil the carpet and cleaned up afterwards. They put covers on their shoes and put down a cloth runner over the floor for the large vacuum hose. They vacuumed around all of the vents when they were finished. I would definitely use them again.

Service techs were nice enough, but could have treated my house better. They were a bit careless taking equipment through the house, bumped the walls in a few places, and left dirty handprints in others. After cleaning the air ducts, a few of the grills were sloppily reattached. I expected more from professional cleaners. The business description on Angie's List reads: " While the service is being performed we provide a free video camera inspection of your HVAC system as part of our duct cleaning to evaluate your indoor air quality and provide indoor air quality solutions for your home." I asked the lead tech about this before they began to clean, and he didn't seem to know what I was talking about - he said he could take pictures with his cameraphone to show me at the end, but they left without doing so. Without being able to see inside the ducts, I don't have before and after images for me to judge their work - therefore I can't give a quality rating higher than 'Fair.' I was lured in by the professional-looking web site and positive reviews here, but I think I could have gotten better service for less money from another cleaner - so next time I'm due for a cleaning I'll use someone else.

Air Duct Maids did a good job. I purchased an Angie's list deal and I was contacted within hours of the purchase. I was able to schedule the air duct cleaning within a week of the purchase - at my preferred time. They technicians were courteous and professional. They did a good job cleaning the ducts and replacing an old dryer vent hose. The only thing I would recommend would be to offer a video showing the before/after of the cleaning. Good experience overall.

They were very courteous, respectful and went out of their way to offer advice and great service. Highly recommended to all. The co-owner, a young man also inspected our furnace while they were cleaning and noticed that our UV light bulbs were out. He promptly showed me, found them on Amazon and gave us the order numbers and showed us how to replace them. Cannot say enough good things about them. Very satisfied.

We contacted Air Duct Maids to clean our air vents under an Angie's List special ($175.00). We added on a dryer vent cleaning for $99.00. The additional balance was for supplies: a new dryer vent pipe ($49.00) and six air filters ($60.00). We are very happy with the work and would use Air Duct Maids again the next time our system needs service.

Hiring Air Duct Maids was a positive and pleasant experience from the very beginning until the end. Tiffany, from customer service was very friendly and detailed orientated, unlike other customer reps (from other companies) that are always rushing potentials customers off the phone. The scheduled crew (Douglas, Richard and Joseph) arrived on time and were extremely courteous and very efficient. Douglas explained and walked me through the entire process without being rushed. He made me aware that I will be needing my air ducts to be sealed in the near future, but didn't force or pressure me into purchasing the service immediatly. The entire crew was very professional. It went very well. The company called two days before to confirm the appointment and to give me a clear idea of what to expect. The day of the work, they called a half hour ahead to let me know when the would arrive. They showed up on time, which is all too rare an experience with contractors. It was a three man crew, Douglas, Joseph, and Richard. Douglas came in first to explain what they would be doing and to answer all my questions. We did a walkthrough to show him where all the equipment and vents were. Then the work got underway. The three men wore booties to help keep the house clean. They did all work quickly and neatly and with a minimum of disruption. We hadn't had the ducts cleaned before and from time to time they'd show me the amount of dust, animal hair, etc. built up in the ducts and it was fairly incredible. I think the whole vent cleaning took about an hour and a half. I also had them clean the laundry dryer and vent. The air quality in the house seems to be better in the house already and I expect that the HVAC system should run significantly more efficiently with the ducts clean. Outstanding service.

One of the technicians was new on the job and was not as careful in cutting around the duct grates that had been painted, getting fingerprints on the paint and putting tools on furniture. The primary technician was excellent and did provide guidance and supervision to the new employee; however, he had a lot to manage to get the job done. I must say that after I complained a few days later that I could not open the grates, the primary technician was most accommodating and immediately returned to fix them.

Tim/Donald//Doug I would like to comment a bit about the Aeroseal application you did on my house. One continuing problem was the airflow to some of the rooms was somewhat weak and as a result I have to balance my ducts every spring and winter but, there were still cold/hot (depending on the season) spots in my house. Our basement is finished so I had very little access to my ductwork and even used metal tape and mastic on what I could reach to seal the ductwork but 90% of them were in the walls or in ceilings and I could do nothing about those. I saw your product in an advertisement and it made sense to me. I did some research and I called you and we discussed my situation. To my surprise, you were able to come out within a few days. I must say, it was surely an effort to set up the tests but it sure does demonstrate the shortcoming of the ductwork installation. To my amazement, when you sealed all the vents and did the pressure test, my ductwork had a leak rate of 247 cubic feet per minute (equivalent to a 47 square inch hole)?.Fortunately, when you finished the application, while not completely sealed, it was a mere 51 CFM (10sq in hole). Your Aeroseal process had really done a good job of sealing the leaks. I immediately realized a huge difference in airflow to all the vents and especially the back bedrooms and the vents furthest away from the furnace. Using the flow meter on the vents was the proof in the pudding. The flow of air at the vents were 400 to 425 CFM before the sealing now they are 450 to 475 CFM more than a 10% increase in airflow at the vents//registers. To be honest, it is too early to tell if I will save any money on energy costs but the comfort level in my home is significantly better than before the Aeroseal treatment and really, that is, to us, as important. Thank you for your service and in my opinion, Aeroseal is a good product, a product that makes so much sense and it can make a difference in almost every house.

This was the second time I have used this company to clean my air ducts along with dryer vent cleaning. True professionals from the minute you call and make an appointment until they leave your house free of dust particles. Will defiantly use again!

Alex and Richard came to my home as scheduled at 7am on November 11th. They were both pleasant and professional. They immediately got to work, we did a walk-thru of my home to inspect and count the registers. While do the walk-thru Alex was very thorough in explaining what will happen during the cleaning. After the walk-thru Robert started taking off the registers and sealing the vent for cleaning. He was very methodical and orderly; he knew exactly where all the vents needed to be return too. Once Richard covered all the registers and large intake vent, Alex secured the truck-mounted vacuum hose to my system's ductwork. All I could hear was years of debris being cleared out of my ductwork. The entire process took approximately 45 minutes of cleaning. Once the system was cleaned Richard went through the house putting the register back in place. In the meantime Alex cleaned my dryer and the dryer vent. The entire service took an hour and half to include clean. They left my home spotless. I will definitely use Air Duct Maids again!!!

These guys are great!!! We'd had our ducts cleaned in the past with a less expensive service provider, but they didn't do anywhere NEAR as thorough a job. Air Duct Maids removed all our vent covers, and they put an agitator down into each opening to round up the dirt and dust. Their truck-mounted vacuum was incredibly powerful. Much attention was paid to detail....we were impressed with things like the corner guards they used to protect our walls....and they vacuumed up what little tiny mess was left when they were finished. With the Angie's Deal we snagged, it was even a great price! I will definitely be recommending this company to anyone who asks me about duct cleaning.

Doug and his crew were on time and very professional. He explained what the services included and how they were going to complete the cleaning process. We recently renovated our home and I knew that the air ducts were full of dust and dirt from the work that was completed and wanted the ducts and air vents thoroughly cleaned. The company went above and beyond my expectations in cleaning the ducts and vents. Once they completed the work, Doug made sure that his crew had cleaned up from the work performed. I would highly recommend them for their services and will use them again in the recommended three year cleaning service.

It was great. I spent more than the big deal purchase. I spent an additional $90 to have the dryer vent clean. I had planned on doing that because it was in their deal that it would be a discount. That something that I had thought another company was going to do for me but they were able to do it a lot cheaper. They were very good.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was very good. We were very pleased. They were very polite and on time. From the very beginning, they were very concerned about the cleanliness and not making a mess in the house. They brought the truck around to the closest point to the vents on the street. They laid down temporary coverings to ensure they didn't create a mess that they could avoid. They went about rigging up the blower and agitator to our vents. They did a great job very methodically going from duct to duct to knock out all the dust. The crew had a very positive attitude, particularly the leader. It was a long day for them and we were the last house they did that day. He was courteous and thorough in explaining everything they were doing. He made it a very good experience. There were no additional costs. It was a pretty big job and the price was competitive.

The base service was less than 200 for the duct cleaning. We added a clean out of a dryer vent for another $79+-. The service was outstanding and professional. I graded B for price because, while I thought that the price we paid was fair, I think that their full price would not be as attractive. Having said that, it is not something that we would do very often so, even at the regular price we would very likely consider using them again.

They cleaned all registers and installed an ultraviolet light that they said would kill mold that may grow around the furnace. The cost of cleaning the air ducts was $175 and the ultraviolet light was $299. It went pretty well except that in the process of installing the light, the technician damaged the flexible hose which he covered with duct tape.
