They worked with us and they took care of places that we could not clean. Our home was a mess as we were having a water heater installed at that time. They were very pleasant to work with and they did the job that was needed. While we were grateful to have some help us with the cleaning, I would not call the service a deep cleaning.

Unlike prior Angieslist cleaner, which did initial plus two follow-up services -- they charged more with each visit and did poorer work with each. By contrast, Nora's service was excellent - the best we've seen. Her followup service quote was actually less than the Angieslist special price,. Our floors were the CLEANEST they have ever been, and the rest of the cleaning job was outstanding as well. Service was very thorough, and the staff were pleasant during the entire process, which required over one hour (for two persons) beyond the contracted 8 man-hours service ! ! ! We will definitely be using Nora's cleaning service in the future.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and I wasn't impressed. There was three of them here and they made it sound like it was going to be a good, thorough deep cleaning. For that price I expected it to be. They did do things like my baseboards, but the three of them were only here a couple of hours and they did not empty one of the trash cans. It just wasn't a very thorough cleaning for $160. I used to get my house cleaned for $120 from one woman who would be here 4-1/2 hours and she did a better job than they did. It took a little while to connect with the main person and they kept calling me but did not leave a call back number. My schedule was limited. I did not feel like my house was really clean when they left. All they did was Swiffer my floors; I can Swiffer my floors., but that does not clean my hardwood or tile. I don't even think they washed the floor in the bathroom. It definitely was not worth the money. I would be very skeptical to get a cleaning service done again. They were very nice and courteous, but were late, which kind of irritated me. She called me in the morning to see if she could come earlier, but I told her I did not be there until 3:15 at the earliest. But they called me and asked if they could come early and I told them no. They said they would have somebody here between 3:15 and 4. I hurried to get home, but they texted me and said they were not going to be here until about 4:30 so that was frustrating too.

. I was very satisfied with the job they did. Nora and a second person worked diligently without distractions. I was very satisfied and would use them again.

Service was excellent. Nora is extremely professional and all work was done as I requested. I am very pleased with the overall job and would absolutely use Nora The Cleaning Lady, again. In fact, I asked about their availability for bi-weekly cleanings, however, she explained that the travel distance to our neighborhood every 2 weeks was not really reasonable for her..... :-( Again, I am extremely pleased with Nora's service -- EXCELLENT JOB!

Nora and two ladies exceeded our expectation every way. Very friendly but courteous enough. I am very impressed with their detailed work. They worked more than 4 hours non-stop! I have to mention here that Nora accepted to provide their service on weekend even though we needed cancel our original appointment and rescheduled. We are very much appreciative of all of Nora's efforts including being so patient to listen to our preferences and detailed requests. We have used 6 different cleaning companies in Richmond over 7 years and this is the first time I sincerely felt that they care of our house as if this is their house. Without doubt, for us, Nora the Cleaning Lady is the best and we definitely use their service again. See you soon Nora and ladies!!

Nora and her helper did a great job. They did whatever I asked of them.

Nora and her team arrived on time and completed the move out cleaning for a rental property. She was professional and her two other team members worked solidly for 3 hours.

Her crew was very polite and cleaned the areas of the house I needed done very well. They moved furniture, lamps, and tables to make sure they cleaned everything. My house looks much better for the holiday season.

Nora brought 2 ladies with her. They arrived on time and were finished in 2 hours. My windows tilt in so they did the windows inside and out. They were professional and worked extra h****** some difficult windows.

We have kids, a dog, busy schedules and a house full of company coming for Thanksgiving. For two years in a row we have called on Nora to help get us ready to host guests. This year we downgraded a bit to less than the deep cleaning we opted for last year. So it's not the "Rockstar Clean" that we got last year, but we got a good value for what we paid. Nora and friends are a good, trustworthy group that we will use again.

three lovely ladies came to my house promptly and started cleaning right away. they work fast and missed only a few things. overall, i thought they did a wonderful job and i would definitely have them back to my house.

We have used Nora's services in the last moment, before upgrading the furniture in two bedrooms. Her attention to detail was great and the flexibility to accommodate our tight deadline saved us a lot of grief. Nora's crew returned our second floor to the sparkling feeling like we just moved in. Baseboards, blinds, furniture polished, bathrooms, they all shine now, thanks to Nora's visit. Nora was very courteous, punctual and left no marks of her presence...just the house very clean!

Nora the Cleaning Lady advertised "Deep Cleaning". Sadly, it was more like Deeply Disappointing Cleaning. I bought my cleaning coupon in early September. I had to track them down in October to get on their cleaning schedule. The lady who finally got in touch with me to schedule an appointment was exceptionally polite and responsive. Nora the Cleaning Lady is almost twice as expensive as Maid to Sparkle and didn't clean nearly as good in 6 hours as Maid to Sparkle does in 4. There were three cleaners, one of which appeared to know what she was doing and spent a good deal of her time directing the other two. The quality of the cleaning depended on which one cleaned which room. In some rooms, furniture and objects were moved for dusting and cleaning, but no effort was made to return objects to their approximate original location. The table behind the bed was never touched and remained covered with dust (one of the main reasons I wanted someone to clean was to dust). I asked for the upholstered furniture to be vacuumed, including under the cushions. It was clear this was not done as there were still crumbs and debris under the cushions. The desk downstairs was only partly dusted; one half was clean and the other remained covered with dust. Cleaning of the baseboards was haphazard; some were dusted and an inch of dust remained on others. The dining room table, the easiest object in the house to wipe down, hadn't been touched. It still had dust and crumbs on it. I even left a $30 tip for the cleaning team. Guess I will chalk this one up to experience.

The house always smelled clean and fresh but not chemically enhanced, and she and Carson were always very reliable about correcting any concerns I had before they left. The only reason I no longer employ Nora and her crew is that she consolidated her services to no longer include Chesterfield County.

I kept reaching out to the cleaning people and never got a date set in stone and I kept getting the run around.

Nora was very pleasant. I appreciate the fact that she explained her services in detail. I will probably try her services in the future.

They were great!! They arrived on time, worked hard and did a very good job on a bank of brambles and assorted weeds. It took longer then anticipated but they did not stop because we ran out of time. They continued until the job was finished. They were very polite and cleaned up after they finished. I will be using them again in the near future. A+++ Part 2 Carson has been back on 2 more occasions. He is polite, works hard, and eager to please. He listens carefully to instructions regarding specific beds and plants. He will be returning one more time to finish putting the yard to sleep for the winter. to be continued...

It went great. We had them give an estimate to do the back yard and they came back and did it 2 days later. Everything looks great.

I have seen Nora get a bad review and she attacks so before I say what went on, I will give some background. I had been very, very sick for the last ten months. It took that long to be diagnosed. Prior to that I had hired a contractor to help renovate my house. We got as far as changing the faucet. The kitchen counter needed caulking but since I was going to change it, I put duct tape over it until I got better. I didn't get better and couldn't even get out of bed. Finally found a tumor in my neck, Scheduled surgery. House was dirty, mostly dust. Kept meaning to call someone but thought I'd get better. Was almost embarrassed to call anyone. Hired Nora she came over to give estimate, but did not walk and look thoroughly at the level of dust. Seemed not to be listening to what I didn't want touched. Hired her for two days prior to surgery. Before I go on, please note this was not outpatient and as it turned out though surgery went well, I was diagnosed with a pretty serious illness. Nora said would be Three hours. I came home after three and a half. I arrived and everything I owned was thrown everywhere. Valuable art books were in a heap. Rugs were in the front yard. They were no where near done. The kitchen walls were being washed with looked like comet when I walked in. I was horrified. First off, I didn't know how if you take a house apart like that you can put it in the right place and second they were way over time and I needed to lie down. Feeling guilty over what looked like a lot of work, Nora asked for more money. I paid her. I left awhile longer, came back about an hour later and they had not progressed much. By then it was close to 4 and a half hours for a tiny space. I asked them to leave. My doctor was insistent that I not get too exhausted prior to surgery. They left. This is what I found. The kitchen floor wasn't washed. Books were wiped with something wet and stuck together. Three were out of print, printed in Europe. Of course they were not how I had them. When Nora arrived she asked to borrow my vacum, she forgot hers. I have a dyson which if you are not familiar with is a pain to empty, all the filters. She also forgot her foot stool, I showed her where mine was. The rugs were not vacummed. She didn't use the stool, someone with muddy shoes stood on my shower seat. It took me three hours to put the house together. Even the cable had been disconnected, I had to call Verizon. The kitchen sponge was gone, the comet was gone, I had a new white washcloth for preop shower it was gone. They spent hours cleaning radiators that I don't use and am having removed. The ac vent that I asked be dusted was not done. What they did clean they cleaned sparkling, but it was only half. Nora underestimated the time or spent time on things they shouldn't have. What was most disturbing was there was an overall lack of respect to how my home had been approached. There are quarter inch tears all over the bathroom floor. Like someone's shoes had done it. The floor was a year old. My jewelry armoirre, six drawers wood had been tossed on the bed. Thin chins were tangled in heavier pieces. Pearls were mixed with pins. Who does that? Certain drawers were open, items moved. I called Nora that night. I was upset and I also felt to take that extra fifty was really wrong. She did not return the call. After my surgery she left me a card with some mums, the card was all about the job. I called her two weeks later, she said she would call back to reschedule and finish. She was so busy literally yelling about the condition of my house, that she didn't Have enough time that I could not get a word in about the tangible damage done. Nora was quite clear that none of this should be on Angie's list that her work is always an A. Nora was paid a fair amount of money for 700 sq. Ft. They did half of the job and had she walked from room to room when she came for the estimate Instead of sitting on the couch, she might have had a more accurate time estimate There was never an apology offered, no sense that she had erred in any way, she was defensive and absolutely rude. Being only two weeks post op, i didn't argue with her because its stress i don't need.

Carlton and associate arrived on time and performed all the work I asked of them in a timely and professional manner. I would definitely use them again.
