Description of Work: Replaced existing hard-wired smoke detectors with nine lithium-battery (ten year) smoke detectors and one lithium-battery smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector. They were the lowest quote of three quotes that I obtained. They were professional. When we had trouble with one of the smoke detectors during an electrical storm just a few weeks after installation, they came out and checked it under the warranty (we think it was loose), then proceeded to re-check all the other smoke detectors as well. We will use them again for any electrical projects in the future.

Description of Work: We bought a coupon for a generator installation. The generator that came with the coupon didn't work for us because the code required it be located in a location that was not suitable. We bought a higher end generator--part up-sale, part because we could fit it closer to the house and it had more expansive capacity--even though we were willing to make sacrifices with the coupon generator. There were a few communication hiccups but otherwise the job went well. The pre-project meeting was comprehensive, we understood the work to be done and costs, the generator delivered to our house had a defect and they had to return it and order a new generator--I wonder how many contractors would have just installed it. While it delayed the project, I was impressed with how that played out. Overall, the project took a bit longer than anticipated (glitch in ordering the original generator, first delivered generator had a defect) the project was handled professionally and well done. I would recommend Beacon.

Description of Work: The work is pending and scheduled, but I am favorably impressed by the process and the price seems fair for the amount of work involved. Rating the workmanship or services received are premature at this point.

Description of Work: Installed outdoor lighting to our house for illumination. Identified best types of lights (the promotional lighting package was a joke and Beacon Elec credited the cost of package toward higher quality & better lighting. Victor responded to questions and issues promptly when offsite and onsite. Very professional and personable, Victor and Francis were superb at explaining details of product and service.

Description of Work: Excellent service-they put in 4 recessed lights per contract, although they did have to cut holes in the ceiling (I was warned that was a probability). They tried to minimize any holes in the ceiling, and left me the cut out pieces for repair (and labeled properly!). |Excellent work, and I recommend them

Description of Work: installed landscape lighting consisting of 3 path lights and 3 spot lights, a transformer and wiring.

Description of Work: Writing this two years after the fact, so some details are hazy. But I do recall Beacon being responsive, prompt, professional, courteous, and willing to explain what they had to do and why. We had a home generator and a new electrical panel installed. I didn't score on price because this is the only electrical contractor we've used so we don't have a price comparison. On the other hand, the prices seem fair and we like working with Beacon. So, I guess there isn't a reason to go with anyone else. We have other work to be done, and when we are ready to do that work, we will call Beacon to do it.
