Description of Work: They sent a man who made up this whole story about what was wrong. All he needed to do was change out the GFCI outlet. Instead, he started drilling on the walls in the garage to make it seem like he was working. I knew he was drilling on walls that had nothing to do with what I asked. I went in the garage and found his drill marks on sheet rock no where near an electrical outlet. He told me he needed the manager to okay the additional work, which would have cost more than $1,000. I didn't pay. They sent their best man to collect the money, and I had to actually ask that he check the work I had asked for was actually completed. Then I paid him, and used Angie's discount. They should have halved the cost because of the grief they caused me. It was still too much for the pain and aggravation. I am an old, handicapped woman living alone. They said they fired the thief. The good man who came to my house next was moving and would no longer be working with Beacon. Do not trust them.

Unfortunately, this review has merit. The original employee turned out to have no integrity and the employee was quickly terminated. We have reached out to this customer and offered a full refund but have not heard back. We regret this turned out to be such a bad experience to this customer.

As always, Beacon installer called before arrivial; wore shoe covering inside the house; installed new fans without fuss; cleaned up afterhimself; explained operation of new fans (with wireless controls). In total, a professional, excellent service provider.

Description of Work: They replaced the ballast in a kitchen light fixture. Technician was very courteous and prompt. My only disappointment was the cost which exceeded the original cost of the light fixture and installation, but that may be going cost these days.

Description of Work: Unfortunately, I had to use Beacon because my kitchen remodeler did not pull permits and did not remodel the electrical to code. So Beacon came in and had to retrofit electrical outlets and work with the Fairfax County inspector to make sure they were done correctly and to code. And, yes, the kitchen remodeler was an Angie's List provider. I liked the guys from Beacon and would definitely use this company again for future electrical needs.
