Description of Work: The company sent two men over, they were on time, pleasant, efficient and took care to clean the chimney without leaving a mess behind. I would definitely use them again. I don't recall the exact amount, but it was the price through Angie's List which seemed reasonable and similar to a previous cleaning service's price.

Description of Work: Chimney cleaning and lock-top damper replacement. Prompt callback on initial contact, medium lead times to schedule work, prompt arrival in regards to scheduled time. Received phone call 15 minutes prior to arrival. Individual was courtesy and professional, and identified additional areas that required attention. Will use Ashmasters again for future chimney work.

Description of Work: After having another company (doing work next door) tell me my chimney needed to be totally rebuilt above the roofline and inside the back of the lower box, I asked Ashmasters to give me a 2nd opinion. They had done work for me before and ended up giving me a discount as a repeat customer. They repointed the upper chimney and lower box, which did not need to be rebuilt, and replaced the 40 year old cracked flue with a stainless steel liner. The workers were highly skilled and professional, making sure I understood exactly what they were doing at each step of the way. I would highly recommend!

Description of Work: We used Ashmasters to do annual chimney cleaning for the past 3 years and will continue to use this company and refer them to friends and neighbors. The cost is very reasonable, they are quick to respond, get the job done well and don't oversell.

Description of Work: We were getting smoke in our basement from that fireplace when we used the upstairs fireplace. We also had a campfire smell in our living room. Ashmasters inspected and cleaned the upstairs chimney upon my request. To remedy the issues we were having, they recommended that we replace the damaged terra cotta flue liner with a solid stainless steel one, repair the smoke chamber, and install a new concrete crown. I spoke with the owner at length about the work and he was very helpful explaining exactly what needed to be done and the reasons for it. Both the chimney cleaning crew and the crew that ended up doing the rest of the work were courteous, polite, informative, prompt and respectful of our home. The campfire smell has dissipated. We have not used the fireplace because it is the summertime but hopefully it will all work fine this winter. I plan to use this company again when it's time to clean the chimney or do repair work on the other one (we only did one chimney this year even though the other one needs work too).

Description of Work: I scheduled an appointment to have my chimney cleaned because we were having issues with smoke coming back into the house, rather than going up and out. It was easy to schedule an appointment and they were prompt and professional. They pointed out some areas that needed attention and provided pricing, but were not giving me the hard sell. They cleaned up and you would never have known they were there. I would definitely use this company again.
