Two guys came to install part of it. They left the area mostly clean and it took them about an hour. The workers were nice.

The work that they did was reasonable, but it was a hassle to get anyone to do anything. Their estimate was less than their competitors. The planning process was really good. I came in with pictures and they assisted in putting my ideas and design in their computer. I didn't have to worry about the nitty gritty details in the planning process. When it actually came to the work it was managed very poorly. Lowes hired the general contractor that was supposed to be in charge of our job, but did not do a good job of checking on the progress at our house. There was a lot of work to be done for the two rooms. They had to take down walls and do the electrical work. It took weeks to get supplies that were ordered. We even had to go into Lowes to pick them up. It took 3 months to finish the job as they were only showing up once a week. The general contractor ended up being fired because the ins and outs of the job were not getting done.

For what we bought, the quality was good. Professionalism is not good. People in those places are all the same. They could have better trained staff on the floor that are more helping.

I found a patio door (french doors) that was a returned item at a clearance price so I decided to let them install it. The installer (Ken) came out to measure and gave all of the info to Lowe's install dept. ALL OF THE CONTACT WITH LOWES AND KEN THE INSTALLER WAS TOP NOTCH AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. In my 58 years this is the first time that a company paid such close attention to every step of the job. If every business did this it would be fantastic. They did such a good job on those I bought another entry door from them. Again a great experience. Both of the old doors were original to the house and were barely attached or insulated. Ken installed the new doors, framed them correctly and insulated properly.

We received the gift card quickly. The last time I went to Lowe's, I was looking for a doorbell replacement and they helped me. Usually their assistance is really good.

This is the second set of doors we have had installed by Lowe's using Jackson as the installers.
First set was two years ago. One interior and two metal exterior doors with windows. We paid for installer to come to the house, measured the doorways and discussed the doors we would be ordering. After discussing the exterior door for the garage, as it would be an expensive door due to the need for an extra wide doorway jamb to be manufactured we decided not to purchased that one exterior door. The other two doors (one exterior, one interior) were in-stock doors and we ordered them through Lowe's. Installed by Jackson, both doors were picked up at the store by Jackson, brought here and installed. Excellent work by the installer.
This year (September 2013) we upgraded a bathroom and decided to replace the narrow linen closet door and the bathroom door to the hallway. We requested Jackson to be the installer for Lowe's, they came to the house, wrote up the size requirements for these two interior doors. One door (to the hallway) was in-stock at Lowe's, the other was a custom ordered door through Lowe's. Jackson picked the doors up at Lowe's, brought the two doors to the house. My only negative comment is that the installer did not check to ensure the two doors were the correct size and style before he completely took out the two original doors from the bathroom. The in-stock hallway door for the hallway entry into the bathroom was put in with no problem. When the installer went to put the custom ordered door in he discovered the wrong door had been ordered in width (too wide by two inches) and it was a plain finished style door not textured (to have a wood look to it). Lowe's reordered the custom door with no problem (we will have to wait three weeks for it to arrive and be installed). Problem is that the linen closet in the bathroom was left with no door on it for these three weeks. With three large lab size dogs indoors with us I had to ensure nothing was on the lower shelves of the linen closet which would draw the dogs' attention (like the trash can). Bit of a pain that I did not appreciate having to deal with for three weeks time period.
The Lowe's clerk who had inputted this original custom door measurements had problems with the computer program for ordering the door. I should had just left that door area and gone to the installation desk at the front of the store and asked them to place the order for the linen closet door.

They did a good job. You never know who you are going to get because they use different contractors. The person they sent over here did a great job. He was on time, he found an extra problem and took care of it.

I purchased a big deal for the gift card, and I spent way more than the gift card. It was just a regular trip to Lowe's. I would recommend Lowe's.
