I liked that they came out fairly soon after I bought the deal. The appointment was quick and he checked what needed to be checked. They were also very professional when they came. They also gave me an opinion on some work I had done and told me what needed to be done in the future without trying to sell me their own services.

My AC needed freon and they were honest and timely with their service. I would definitely use them again.

Their representative came to our house to provide an estimate for replacing our A/C system and duct work. We have been waiting two weeks for the estimate. I emailed the rep twice and have yet to receive a reply. I even spoke with him on the phone. What a total waste of my time and a clear indication of the company's lack of customer service and unprofessional behavior.

The service turned out just fine. They inspected both units. They actually lost my appointment, but they were very accommodating. They showed up about 2 hours after the initial appointment. The technician did do a nice job and scheduling was very easy.

It turned out well. They did the inspection and it went fine.

They came when they said they would come. He wrote all the information to see about the heat exchange warranty and but never got back to us. They also didn't get back to us with a quote for the whole house humidifier.

I called during the first heat wave in June. Using an Angie's deal for the first visit, the technician confirmed we needed to replace our 25 year old unit. He quoted a price, and wrote the models for replacement. The schedulers, and people who answered the phone were entirely kind and professional. The replacement date was Tuesday of the following week. Two trucks, several men showed up before 9am. I think the quoted time may have been between 7:30 and 8:30 - but it may have been between 8:30 and 9:30 - either way, 8:45 am is fine with me. There was a lot to do, removing the old outside unit and the pieces inside. They reconfigured the furnace area and installed a better drainage tubing. They left a temporary filter - what they had in the truck. Probably, they should have had in the truck the filter they recommended, that would give them extra points in the excellent service area. They cleaned up and removed all the debris, including our old furnace and AC unit. All of the paperwork was explained, they put in an envelope the actual label bar codes off of the boxes. Best of all: the air conditioning works! They were finished by about 5pm. It took all night, after the 97 degree day, to cool the house below 70 degrees. Cold floors are wonderful. I called other companies, and non could predict a time they could come. This seems to have worked perfectly. The system has a ten year warranty and another ten for work needed. I told the office when I called after the first visit that I didn't need a salesman - that the technician had written on our receipt what we needed and that was accepted. I don't like to sit through sales appointments. This gave me confidence the company was all about service and trusted the products and weren't trying to sell me anything extra. I'd use them again, and recommend their services and work.

Richards took our call in the morning and we were pleased that they would be able to come take a look at our unit that day. It was the very end of the day (and the appointment window) before they made it here, also a very hot day so no doubt they were busy. Angie's list coupon decreased the standard service call fee which was a good fit as out problem was that coolant was needed, not a very costly or complex repair. Engineer did not pressure us for further work on our older system which was appreciated.

I ordered the wrong kind of service coupon. Not dissatisfied with company, but did choose another.

They did a good job. They were on time, courteous and I liked them.

They found that the heating unit had multiple issues with it and it was not cost effective to repair. We had them install a new furnace for us. They were very quick about it and had the new unit out the next day. They did initially bring the incorrect unit, but they had the new one over within that day to get it installed. They cleaned up well after completing the job. It was a good experience.

In April of 2014, the old motor finally did fail and I called Richards again to install the new one. They came that same day and installed the new motor, which I had purchased off the internet, fixed a problem with one of the leads, and only charged me for the labor. The motor has been working just fine ever since. These guys are very professional and do excellent work. I highly recommend them!

Service was performed well.

They made it look easy. The previous system never cooled properly, Richards came out and figured out how to make some changes. The system they put in is great. The team they have is professional, on time, friendly and competent. I wish I would have found them earlier. This is the best heating and A/C company I have dealt with in this area.

I had contractors in the condo as I was having work done before renting it out. He immediately identified that the other contractors had turn off the switch for the unit. He also did a complete inspection for me to ensure that the unit was working adequately once it flipped back on. He wrote me a quote detailing how backed up the system was so that I could it provide it the other renter. They did a really good job for me on the service.

Diagnosed issues, resolved same, performed preventative maintenace.

I called them to schedule the service after purchasing a Big Deal; I explained I purchased a bit deal for a furnace/AC inspection. They were on time and prompt. About half-way through the inspection, they explained that my Big Deal only covered one of the services -- either the furnace or the AC -- and since they had already started on the furnace, I would have to pay extra for the AC. I explained that I had no need for an inspection of my furnace at the beginning of the summer, and that I was more interested in having my AC inspected. If it only covered one service, I explained, I would have chosen the AC. After some discussion with a supervisor, they agreed to waive the fee and finished inspecting both the AC and the furnace. I was impressed with their professionalism and how quickly they finished a very thorough inspection. I would definitely use them again.

I contacted the company and scheduled the service. When I called back the day before the service to reschedule, I was placed on hold and another person got on the line and politely apologized and told me that they couldn't perform the service. He was very polite but I would have preferred that they contact me to let me know they couldn't come out.

I was having issues with my HVAC, so I called these guys to take a look. After 20 minutes of poking around the unit they explained that the heat pump was "dying", and I would need to buy another one. Two days later I received a call from their central office explaining that they could replace the heat pump for $4,000. However, I should really go ahead and replace both the interior and exterior HVAC systems for $6,000+... As such, I asked around and found out their price quotes were extremely high. Now, it's a few months later, and the AC stops working... I brought another repair guy out from a different company, and it turns out that the only repair I needed was a $100.00 fan motor replacement! I asked if it was difficult to diagnose and he said "no - not even a little bit". Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. So, hey, if you want to be treated more like a "mark" than an actual customer - go with these guys... but you're better off choosing someone else.

We were emailed within a day of purchasing the deal through AL. We called and made an appointment. The person I talked to was courteous. The dates available for service were 2 -3 weeks out, which I expected and was fine with. On the day of the service appointment the technician arrived within the 4 hour time window. No one called to confirm the appointment and the tech did not call to give us a more specific time of arrival, which would of been nice. The full assessment of our system could not be made because the outdoor temperature was too cool. They suspected a freon leak but could not be sure. The deal we purchased included a cleaning. But when I look in the outside unit I see leaves and other debris at the bottom of it. I also see that only 3 sides of the metal filter/coil that surrounds the unit is clean. On the inside, they made us pay for the filter, even though we use a standard size (16X25X1). They charged us $14 for it. The AL deal states the filter is included, except for specialty filters. We called and talked to someone in the office and that person said filters were extra. So there seems to be some confusion/ambiguity in what the deal states and what is actually included. I really wish they had called us in the morning to let us know it was too cool outside for them to successfully complete the service. We could of rescheduled. Now we have to have another service appointment. For people that work outside of the home this is pretty inconvenient. Also, had we known we were going to charged for the filter, we would of purchased one ourselves and had it ready for the technician.

This went quite smoothly. The technician was very knowledgable on the model of my unit. He repaired it quite quickly. The major cost was the replacement of freon.

They’ve been excellent. They were always on time, very efficient and very knowledgeable. I referred them to several neighbours. They were courteous and great. Price was very reasonable. They were well under another competitor. I believed the competitor was around the area.
