Everything checked out fine.

Engineer quickly diagnosed that a new circuit board would be required for our older (15 + years) furnace. The board was available for purchase from an online provider for a cost much lower then Richard's quoted, so we completed the work ourselves.

My husband purchased the Big Deal before checking to see if the provider had any openings in the time we needed service. They did not.

Furnace was cycling on & off. Richards discovered a clog in the intact, that caused the system to overheat, trip its safety, cool down, and then turn on again. Not being able to get a hold of me while I was at work, they exercised their professional judgement and completed the job exactly as I would have wanted, which required them to cut, clear, and replace intake piping. Professional, competent, timely, and reasonable price.

Went fine. No complaints. I did ask to have the A/C inspected, but he relayed that wasn't possible until weather warmed up. Made sense.

Excellent. We have used Richard's to install both heating and air conditioning units in two of our homes. Their service is top notch. They removed the old systems completely, installed new units, tested new units, and cleaned up completely. The estimates for the work are always reasonable and explained in great detail. One of the homes we where preparing to sell, and they where able to meet our schedule and needs. We have since utilized their services for maintenance a few times. They are always on time, explain everything and extremely detailed. We plan to continue to utilize their services for all of our future needs.

We have used Richards for many years and they installed our furnace, 2 a/c compressors, and separate heating-cooling system in an addition. This time I bought 2 big-deals, which covered servicing both heating systems. I paid extra for a new filter on an air-purifying system attached to the main furnace. The big-deals made the servicing charges much more affordable. Richards has great customer service. They contacted me in August, after I had bought the big-deal, and I told them I'd call them back later in the fall. In September I called and set up the appointment. The service technician came during the designated time slot, serviced the units, and spoke to us about the air purifier.

My outdoor a/c fan was not working. I had a handyman replace the fan motor. But, even after the fan motor was replaced the a/c was not cooling as well as it would normally. I called Richards A/C. Told them I found them on Angieslist. Their technician, Pete, arrived a couple of minutes late. He took a look at the outdoor unit and immediately identified the problem - when the handyman replaced the fan motor, he installed the fan blade upside down. I watched Pete's work from the time he got there, until the time he left. Pete turned the fan blade over and reattached it. That was the extent of the substantive work - about 10-15 minutes. From there he hosed down the unit, and went back and forth to his truck a a half dozen times looking for new nuts to put on the outdoor unit grill because the existing nuts were rusted. He then checked out the indoor unit and gave me a tutorial on dampers. I thought I'd be charged a standard rate for simple fix. I was wrong, Pete charged me $45 for every 15 minutes he was there past the time for the initial $125 diagnosis fee, for a total of $215. So, I ended up paying $135 for small talk, shinier nuts, and a really half-hearted rinse with my hose. I was on my way to a funeral so I didn't argue with Pete, I just paid him. I did call the company later and spoke to the owner. The owner said that based on Pete's write-up the charge sounded reasonable. It wasn't. Pete dilly-dallied and the owner probably knows Pete stretched it. Anyway, I wouldn't use them again. The owner also let me know that I should have bought the Angieslist voucher and the initial fee would have been $45 instead of $125. I didn't notice that it was a voucher and not just a standard meniton angieslist and get the deal. The owner made clear though that he would not apply a voucher retroactively.

It went perfectly fine. He honored the big deal price. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. I quizzed him because I am inquisitive person. He answered everything that I asked. He came right out and right on schedule. I would absolutely use him again in the future. The next problem I have they are getting a call.

Great! The technician was fantastic. I am an idiot in all things mechanica,l but he walked me through how the system works in a clear fashion and gave me a couple of pointers. It must have been very frustrating for him because my questions were so elementary, but he was extremely nice and didn't make me feel like an idiot, which I very much appreciated.

We've been using them for years. My husband was using them when I met him and we have been married for 25 years. We have an annual contract with them.

The whole experience was excellent. The service rep scheduled an appointment that worked with my schedule and without much delay. The technician that serviced our house was professional and knowledgeable. They seemed honest and did not try to up sell us on any unnecessary things.

Installation was not done correctly and they had to come back twice to fix it. Very frustrating.

Overall service, pricing, professionalism, punctuality have been excellent. It was straight forward transaction, they provided couple of options and I selected one that was suitable for my needs. It was no pressure transactions. I have no complaints at all, I plan to use them in next spring to replace AC unit.

He was very friendly and helpful. He let us know what was wrong and what the next steps would be. We are happy with their service.

They were great to work with responsive and inexpensive.

Jim came by and gave me a very thorough estimate with a great explanation of the different options and prices. The crew that did the installation was quick, quiet (as quiet as guys ripping out an old furnace and installing a new one can be), and left the work area in immaculate condition. Tony provided a quick tutorial on turning off the gas, changing the filter, etc. as well.

We were pleased with Richards quick response in replacing our Carrier furnace. They were easy to work with and did a great job taking out the old and putting in the new furnace. The workers and the office personel were very professional and answered all our questions through out. I would recommend Richards Heat and A/C!!!

They showed up on time the same day that I had contacted them. While they were able to pinpoint the problem I didn't end up requiring their services but they were very helpful. The project was just out of the scope of our initial budget.

Technician was professional and easy to talk to. Diagnosed and solved problem.

The tech was very nice and courteous. Replaced the part quickly. Did not try to overcharge or sell me something I didn't need or want. Was able to give good advice on replacing the entire HVAC unit in the future.

I bought two big deals. The technician, Tom, was punctual and professional. He did not try to sell me any things and his hand-written description of work performed was legible, which was a rare find.

A tech from Richards showed up promptly and recharged my home A/C. It wasn't cooling properly and he fixed it, very professional. I asked the tech to do a leak test and he found a leak in my evaporator coil. I asked him to replace it and he said I would receive a call within a couple of business days with an estimate. I called them every week for a month and spoke to two different owners but they never got back to me with an estimate. It was a huge waste of time, I wish they would have just said no. To their credit they promptly refunded my $125 visit fee when I asked. I wish they were more responsive, I would have kept using them.

He had the necessary part on his truck and fixed it within a half hour.
