When I called for scheduling and I told them I had no heat, they were able to come out the next day. The technician was able to figure out the issue quickly and correct it while he was here. He was very nice, helpful, and friendly.

They did a nice job and I was very happy with them. They were thorough, professional, and pleasant.

My mothers furnace stopped working over a weekend. I came over and determined that I could not diagnose the problem. I looked up HVAC companies in Angies List, and chose Richards for their proximity and excellent reviews. I called Monday mid-morning, and the dispatcher made an appointment for me that afternoon. The technician was there at the appointed time, and diagnosed the problem as a failure of the blower motor and its associated "module". Richards did not have the part in their shop, but the technician got expedited delivery of the part, and it came the next day. He came promptly at 8:30 that morning, and had the heat working again by 9:30. The price of the part (including installation) was $1302, and the service call/diagnosis was $125. I thought the price of the part was high, but then again I have never shopped for a blower motor and module. Overall a very good experience. I would recommend them.

I have used them in the past. I have been very pleased with them. They are very responsive and were able to come out within a day. I like that they send the same technician so he knows our unit. They are very professional.

I have been dealing with about five years. They previously installed our HVAC unit. Scheduling was fine. My experience with them is usually positive.

Easy, professional, punctual. It was freezing that week and they had us up and running the next day.

I called to have my heater checked but it started working when he tested it. He did check for potential causes and it boiled down to having a 23-year old furnace that needed to be replaced. He gave me a price quote for replacement of furnace, and replacement of furnace with A/C.

It turned out fine. The big deal price was $49. This was the first time I used them. It was great; they did everything we asked for. We did miss one little thing, but they came back out and took care of it the next day. The unit has been running fine. They were great to work with. The same technician came out to both the properties.

Fixed the leak -- asked if he could look at the Heater (we bought from Richards) and he said it would start the clock on charging again -- He could have justed looked at the heater to insure it is working ok - but didnt - that would have made them an "A"

They are very responsive. They check and call you and schedule an appointment. They constantly do quality control checks to make sure things are satisfactory. The gentleman that come out are knowledgeable. I highly recommend them and referred them to others. I have had my contract with them for three years and it has been awesome.

Richards installed a complete new system for me when my furnace went out during the coldest part of the year. They installed it the next day during a snow storm and gave me a fair price with professional service. Would use them again. Thanks for the great work.

They were efficient and punctual. The installation went quickly and the new furnace and a/c were neat, and our utility room was left clean and tidy. The new system has worked very reliably for more than a year. The A/C is more efficient than the old one, but the furnace's efficiency is about the same. The new system's fan makes less noise than the old system, and the thermostat gives us more information and more control than old thermostats. Our only problem was that the when salesman when promised a free first check-up visit, he did not emphasize the visit had to be in the first 12 months, and there was no follow-up or reminder from Richards' office. When we called for an appointment for the first routine maintenance and were told the next appointment time was in 4 weeks, I didn't think anything of it, because we weren't having any problems. When time for the appointment came, the service technician wanted us to pay full charge, because it was 13 months after installation. I asked to speak with Richards' office and when I explained the situation to the sales staff in the office, they cancelled the charge, so everything worked out ok. Richards could offer better service by following up with new customers to see that they get their first service appointment on a timely basis, and by having the person who schedules service appointments be aware that this might be the customer's first service call.

They did great. They were prompt and left the area great. I got a coupon from Angie's List for $75 for a check up, so I got one for each unit.

Son was the technician - very very nice and respectful. He cleaned the flame sensor and worked on it for a little bit - says we probably need a new gas control valve - they have to order the part but the furnace is working for now. They will be back later in the week to complete the job. When he told me we needed a part, I expressed my concern as to not having heat until they could get the part in and it being the middle of winter and he worked on it some more to see if he could get it going and a "temporary" fix until the part comes in (which I think he would have done anyway). Nothing to do with the job but we have dogs and he was very kind to them too. Overall - extremely happy with them, wish we'd known about them when we replaced the furnace years ago and used another company and they almost blew our house up....based on this, I will continue to call Richards for future work!

Their service is good and I would recommend them. They had to replace a part and the price was reasonable. They were nice, professional, and friendly. They seem to explain everything to your level, they come on time, and if they are running late, they will let you know.

It was great. I had no issues. It was just very easy. The company knew exactly what service I had purchased. They came out and provided that without any questions. I called and set up an appointment. There was some confusion with the appointment. They didn’t show up when they said they would. But when I called them, then they sent someone out immediately. Their responsiveness after I notified them was very good.

Everything went well. We specifically asked for Maynor (spelling?) who had come out and checked our heating unit the previous winter and again, he was wonderful. He takes his time, is very thorough and readily answers all of your questions. As a new home owner, we didn't know much about our heating or air conditioning systems, and both times that he came out, he showed us all of the parts of each system and how to check/change filters etc. He was wonderful. During his July visit, I mentioned that our upstairs didn't get very cool when the A/C was on and after a few minutes of inspection, he found that the previous owner had closed the upstairs vent ducts that were in our hvac system. They were jammed shut and the lever didn't work, so he had to shove his arm into our system and try to manually open the primary vent that was closed. All in all, the company is great - they respond quickly, and obviously employ exceptional people. Will definitely use again (and will continue to request Maynor) and highly recommend to others!

I was happy with them. They came out within a week or so. They were friendly and timely. The cost was fine.

Everything went fine, I have that I wouldn't hire this company, this is because I have since found another company that I like doing business with.

It was okay. There were no additional charges. It was quick. The pricing was good.

It took over a month to get an appointment. Technician was to arrive between 8:00 am and 12 noon. Did not arrive until 12:35pm and did not call to say he would be late. Charged $143.00 for filters I could have purchased over the internet for $47.00 (lessons learned).
