We had a great experience with the technician! He came as scheduled within just a few days of my making appt. The HVAC repair job was done fantastically, very professional. I couldn't have been more pleased. Overall, he made the whole process easy, he was very pleasant to work with.

Salesperson Matt was very thorough, gave us detailed information about the best products and prices. Work took,him day and technicians seemed knowledgeable except had difficulty putting in the Edge thermostat that was defective and they don't keep extras in the truck. Infinity would have been easier but more costly. Overall, seemed like a fair price compared to other dealers like Nugent and sons wanted thousands more for the same products. Just waiting for rebate of $250. Overall, would recommend them but do your homework first so you know what to ask.

Very helpful! It took quite a bit of work, but he narrowed down the issue. The auxiliary heat was not being called up. He went through many different mechanical and wiring possibilities and explained each as he went through. The source was eventually determined. It was our thermostat, which he could not fix, but he let us know we needed to get a new one. He also noticed a few other things that we didn't even know could be a problem and how to fix them during the diagnostic. This probably saved us from future issues! It took much more time than either of us expected due to a number of factors from crazy wiring to a complicated "smart" thermostat, but he was very patient and thorough. I was very pleased with this service!

They fixed the problem. Everything seemed to work fine. I was happy with the service. After the diagnostics, they changed the part. They were timely. Maybe they should do some checking. I don't really have a suggestion on ways to improve. I just don't think it was necessarily exceptional which I would give an A. I thought it was good and better than average.

Richard's HVAC was extremely responsive and timely and honest. I had a very complex situation in my condo due to space limitations and out of all of the contractors I interviewed they had the best customer service and technical planning. Prior to the install, they clearly explaining everything I needed to do for them. On the day of the install, they showed up on time, worked extremely hard, and answered all of my questions They finished the job on time, with no surprises and gave me a full run down of all my new HVAC equipment This was easily the best experience I have had with a HVAC company.

The gentleman that came to help us was very nice and courteous but he did not fix the problem. We have one vent that is not working in our house causing our baby's room to be very cold. He went around the house and checked the other vents and opened and closed them to try to see if it helped divert air to the room. I have already done this and it did not help. He did find the vent's run and looked inside of it and there was no blockage. I appreciate him doing these things, but he was only here 30 minutes. He just told me that my house was designed poorly and he didn't know what to do. Our house is older-it was built in 1974-but the furnace is about 15 feet from room that is not getting air, so I find it hard to believe that that could be the problem. In addition, we replaced our entire HVAC system in 2012 and had the ducts cleaned in 2013. I paid $49.00 for him to tell me nothing can be done. I'm not really pleased with the quality of the service and won't be using this company again.

The Richards Technician Vic performed a complete fall furnace inspection. He replaced the furnace filter and also cleaned the flame sensor and burners. He was very informative explaining things as he progressed. It was pointed out that the manufacturer no longer make the mother board for this furnace. He checked and tightened the connector. The visit was on time and peformed quickly. We were happy with the service and would recommend Richards to others.

I called Richards (have been pleased with their work over the past year for other annual spring/fall checks) after seeing the coupon on Angie's List for $89. When I scheduled the appointment the customer service lady said it would be $150 -- when I told her about the coupon she agreed it would be $89 -- no problem. I scheduled a visit on the phone, but due to the volume this time of year, I was unable to schedule until middle of November. I then purchased the coupon on line and included a comment that Richards call me if any cancellations occur to try to get a visit in early. Voila! I received a call on the 22nd of a cancellation in my area and they came on the 23rd! Yay! Maynor was the technician. A quiet young man, he was extremely professional. I like to watch the techs in my home (mostly due to curiosity, not lack of trust), and he answered all of my assorted questions as he thoroughly examined the unit in my basement and outside. I had some concerns about a humidifier on the HVAC -- he answered all questions to my satisfaction and even recommended how best to set the humidistat correctly for this time of year. I will continue to use Richards in the future -- they've never cornered me into a "contract", and have told me in the past that I didn't really need certain things that other companies have recommended. Confidence in this company!

Fixed AC unit at a reasonable price

The technician found a faulty part in our boiler. Ordered that part for us and returned a week later to install it. That service and part cost approximately $540.00

Showed up for an estimation at the appointed time, duly inspected the work, left and never called back. I tried to reach them three times leaving a message with no reply.

They did a good job. It took them a little longer to get out there. There was no problem. For what we bought it was a very fair price. No complaints yet. I think they were there when they were suppose to be.

The technician determined that there was no coolant in the system. My system was 20 years old so he did not recommend recharging the system and I agreed. He offered to have someone from his company contact me to give me an estimate for a new A/C unit

The technician showed up in response to a call and checked out the unit. He correctly diagnosed and fixed the problem. My only concern was that I had purchased an Angie's list coupon for a system evaluation and it didn't seem to affect the price much. I got the sense I would have paid the same amount without the coupon. I paid for time and materials, which was fine. But with the cost of the coupon added on, it seemed kind of expensive.

We have used Richards for for many years and in the past they have replaced our air conditioner and air handler and serviced them. This time they fit me in to a full schedule and the technician came promptly. He checked out my air conditioning system and didn't find any problems. We concluded the hot air was coming from the air conditioner due to Dominion cycling my cooling since I am on the Smart Cooling system which allows them to do that. I had never had it blow hot air before and I thought something was broken. I was happy to have a coupon for the diagnostic service since I didn't have an actual problem.

Excellent service from the beginning, starting with scheduling the appointment for service. Friendly and knowledgeable scheduler starting at 8am on Saturday. Of course the AC goes out early on Saturday morning. Service scheduled for Monday morning. My expert technician, Pete showed up and he knew HVAC. This guy is crawling on the attic floor inspecting and repairing. Then out to the compressor ..... tightening loose connections and then filling the refrigerant. Pete explained all the issues, excellent observations of the initial installation of my system three years ago, diagnosed the problem and solved it. He was terrific ! My husband even called back to Richards for a quick question, and Pete called our house with the answers. Very professional and excellent service all around !

That was good. I was having a problem with not getting cold air. I purchased it through Angie's List. Everything was working good. I didn't really know much about what was going on but if he was not an honest person, they could have taken advantage.
