Drainage & Erosion Solutions was okay, it was fine.

By the reviews, guess they do a great job. Problem was getting them to respond to me. I called twice, left a vm and then spoke to the receptionist next time I called and she said she'd pass my info up to the consultants, never heard back.

Recently purchased a new home and there are multiple drainage issues as the yard is not graded properly. I wanted to get an estimate and find out what my options are to remedy the situation. Called to setup an appointment for an estimate, left my contact info but never received a call back. SMH.

We were very pleased with the job they did. I was initially concerned that our yard was going to look a mess once the job had been completed as the drain went right across the yard and the hole for the rain tank was going to be quite big - I was very impressed that they removed all the dirt by hand - there were no diggers tearing up our yard. They carefully removed the grass and re-laid it once the drain and rain talk were installed - by the time they had finished you would not have known we had had anything done. Job well done - thank you - our yard is now dry and the kids can use it much more - I would definitely recommend Drainage and Erosion Solutions.

I never received an estimate from the company. Also, the appointment was rescheduled twice due to scheduling problems on the company's end.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service. My experience with them was good and they were good. They gave me a price quote which was ridiculous. It was really high. They were smart guys but just very expensive. Their professionalism and communication skills were good. I probably would not use them again because of their price.

We purchased a Big Deal for a basement waterproofing inspection and analysis. They came to our house and did a comprehensive analysis of the best options for waterproofing. We were pretty confident we would hire them to execute one of the options. They said they would follow up and provide us with a written estimate and details of the options. We did not hear from them for 2-3 months. We called and ended up playing phone tag a few times, and they failed to follow up on our last message. We never received our written estimate or plans, which is ashame because we would have probably used them.

I purchased the Big Deal for $50 to have their guy (Dave Robey) look at watermarks on the cinder block wall in my basement. I wanted to ensure that i didn't have a crack in my foundation. Dave seemed thorough in inspecting the inside wall and outside at groundlevel. He didn't think there was any damage to my foundation and suggested some things i might do outside to minimize water seeping into the basement wall. Dave showed up on time, was professional and gave me confidence that i could trust his assessment.

My experience with Drainage and Erosion Solutions was excellent. I hired the company to waterproof the basement of my townhouse. Len Blakely was the company representative who first came to my house for the estimate. Len is a landscape architect, was highly professional and knowledgeable, examined everything closely to develop a solution tailored to my house, and answered every question with expertise and great patience. I had about 7 estimates for this work; some recommended indoor drainage and sump pumps and some recommended exterior wall waterproofing. I had the most confidence in Len's analysis and recommendations. Like Len, the work crew was professional, knowledgeable, and patient with all my questions. They dug up about a quarter of my entire patio area, eight feet deep. About halfway down they found a crack across my entire basement wall. However, further down the crew unexpectedly encountered groundwater because my water table was higher than anticipated, and they could not complete the project as originally planned. Len as well as one of the company managers made a special trip to my house to examine the situation and develop a recommendation. In addition to the exterior waterproofing, they ended up installing drainage pipes and a sump pump in my backyard and creating a trench in my alley to a drain. They did a terrific job of putting my yard back together after the work was done and cleaning up. No work is ever absolutely perfect but this was as good as it gets. Plus the work came with a 10-year warranty. UPDATE: 6/24: About a month after the work was done, I noticed that my patio was sinking. Apparently the company did not use a mechanical compactor to compact the soil, but instead only used hand compacting. After I called to report this, it took 2-3 weeks for someone to come to my house to look at the problem. It is now a week since that visit, and they have not yet called me to schedule a date to repair the patio. I was pleased with the original work but disappointed that they did not properly compact the soil and that they have not been responsive to my patio repairs. I have not yet changed the overall grade but will wait to see if they actually do the repairs.

Ken did a fabulous job telling us our options and creating an aesthetically pleasing rock garden to cover the exterior drain. We love the work.

Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC came out to look at our basement (which floods even with a french drain and sump pump). While we have not contracted, their informational visit was very professional and helpful, even to first time home owners. When we are ready to remodel we will absolutely call them in.

I thought the company was a little pricey but overall they did a superb job. Dave was very knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He spent almost four hours walking around our property, listening to our drainage issues and explaining in detail the options for addressing each. There was no pressue to choose a particular option just a lot of excellent information that allowed us to make informed decisions concerning how to address each issue. The work started on time and was completed in four days well within the seven to ten day window that was provided. A project supervisor was there the vast majority of the time and always willingly to address any questions that we had. When the tree crew showed up unexpectantly on the second day of the job to remove trees from the back yard, the project manager was able to modify his crew's schedule for the day and work around the tree removal and trimming in the back yard. Every member of the crew was very respectful, professional and hard working. They cleaned up at the end of each day so as you couldn't tell there was this tremendous amount of work going on all around the property. The side and especially the rear yard are absolutely beautiful and the source of compliments from friends and neighbors. We have had two snows and more then a couple of heavy rains since they completed the work and we have noticed no problems what so ever. The basement is dry as it can be, and we no longer have water running all over our side or rear yard. The sway and regrading are working perfectly. The raging steam running the length of our back yard is a lot more subdued then before and the erosion it was causing has been stopped. We were very happy with every aspect of the job. We thought they were a little pricey but then again you get what you pay for. In our minds they were worth every penny. We couldn't be more pleased and would recommend them in a second.

I called for an estimate and David set a date and time to do the estimate and I showed him the problems and he understood and explained how they would deal with the problems and provided a written estimate at that time. We left the date open as their work is a function of weather. When they knew which week it would be we agreed on a date. There was snow and we had to move the date, but they showed up on time, were thorough and neat. When they arrived to do the work I talked to David about adding some more downspouts and we agreed on a price and the whole project was done by early afternoon and it looked great.

he exterior drainage and errosion issues and he was going to come back with a plan and he discueesd with my husband there was only 1 thing he could do but it was more involved for him he works with a guy in landscaping and he was going to bring him out to help us and he was going to do a plan with exterior drainage and solutions. landscaping and drainage didnt hear for weeks calling wrong number we kept asking for our plan you did pictures and measurement and we want your plan finally sent it to us but project was 6000 dollars and landscaping guy would be seperate so we did not use them we may go back and use them but we will have to price out with other people before we could do it in phases and make it more cost effective if need be

They were slightly less than professional and a little sloppy but they did have to tear up the yard to do the work. They did an alright job overall though. Some French drains worked well, others not so good. They want to be paid to make them work correctly - year later! I've barely had time to see if anything work properly. It doesn't. The warranty is shorter than a drive to the grocery store and back - keep that in mind! Two french drains work backwards. i.e. water tends to collect in those areas where french drains are instead of being directed away. update: I asked the back to look at problems and was told that I was asking for aesthetic updates. I didn't think that french drains that worked properly was an aesthetic update.

They were professional and did a good and thorough job. He wasn't able to perform work due the nature of the Deal, but gave us a comprehensive estimate. He did tell me that the estimate would only be valid for one week, which I felt was too short of a time frame to consider. We are looking to get another estimate to counter it.

Had to put off work due to other household emergencies and they stuck to the original estimate without charging additional for the six month delay. Work was great, dave came back to review final work and everything was to my complete satisfaction. Recommend highly.

They were responsive. They gave a very thorough review and estimate. The price was high and what they proposed doing was probably much more than what actually needed to be done and what I ended up having done to solve the problem.

Have been very pleased with the results - no water leaks in the interior of the house, catch basin and drains installed are working properly. The work was very professionally done. The company provided a detailed estimate in advance and honored the price given in its original estimate. The workers came on time and finished all the work in one day, and did an excellent job restoring the premises after the excavation work - the yard looked better after they restored it than it did before they began the work.

Everything went fine, I just couldn't afford the fixes they recommended.

This guy basically charged $89 to come out to do an estimate. It was a competent estimate, but told me to fix the problem that I had it would be about $10,000.

Not only the price was right but the timing was perfect. They performed the job in 6 days with a trmendous crew. The crew was always supervised not only by an on-site supervisor but the onwer came by every day to make sure the job was properly done. The job was finished the morning before "Sandy" hit the Washington Area. The job was tested and it performed very well. I would recommend this company to anyone that has an erosion or drainage issue. Supperb!!
