We are extremely satisfied with our new front entry porch. Once we were lined up for the build, it went quickly and our carpenter, Nelson, was on top of every step. We also have no complaints about the roofer, electrician or painters. The quality is great and we could not be happier. The value for our money was spot on. We would definitely use them again. My only complaint, and not a big one, was the delay in getting the project started but I know the summer was plagued by extreme heat after a very wet spell.

I chose Steadfast Construction after careful research of its website, presence on Houzz and its overall score on Angie's List, and couldn't be happier with my decision. Josh was great to work with and was always helpful and prompt to answer my questions. On the construction end, Nelson was friendly, respectful of my property and showed superb craftsmanship. My front porch blows every other porch in the neighborhood out of the water. I have repeatedly had neighbors and strangers alike stop and compliment me on how beautiful the house looks with the addition, and would not hesitate to recommend Steadfast Construction. In fact, I look forward to using their services again for a future backyard deck project.

The project went extremely well overall. Steadfast did a great job. Their crews are truly talented, detail oriented and have high work standards. After the demolition portion of the rebuild, we discovered several structural boards and supports needed to be replaced. This was done at a very reasonable additional cost. We also discovered that the porch itself was not built to code and was unstable. Rather than just replacing portions of the porch and putting a new ceiling in, we decided to tear the entire porch down and build from scratch. In doing this, we were able to save money by not installing the ceiling that we had planned; Instead the porch beams are exposed, but since they are new, it looks great! After all was said and done we paid about 15% more than we planned, but feel we got a real value. The quality of work and product are exceptional. Owner Jack Prins goes above and beyond. You can tell he loves his business and is proud of every delivery. I cant' say enough good things about the experience and our beautiful new deck!

Overall, I was thrilled with Steadfast's work. The end product was beautiful, and makes the front of my house look so much better. Their workers were timely, productive, and knowledgeable and their management was communicative, professional, and very responsive to questions and concerns.

It went extremely well. I felt completely listened to about all of my concerns, which is very important to me. Jack Prins, their sales manager, actually came out to review the job, and to ask for my thoughts. Franklin, our foreman, was a whirlwind of sawdust and measurements. He just hacked right in to the roof without a thought, and the results showed that he knew what he was doing. I liked that I had frequent conversations with the office where they reviewed what was left to do. I have had experiences where a company will say "Well, you never said to do that" and things like that, and this was not the case here. We just had some heavy rains here and I approached them about maybe increasing the size of the gutters because I had some spillage that was splashing over the base woodwork that I did not like. I sort of dreaded talking to them about it and was expecting them to tell me I would need to pay for it. They said on the phone they prided themselves on project aftercare. I have not heard the term project aftercare before but I like it!!!! They are coming out to switch the gutters and look at increasing the base dimensions in order to minimize the splashing I didn't like. They were short on the color of the door hardware that I wanted so also needed to come out and change that. They used a different color for a week while it came in. I did not need to call them, they just came and took care of it. The color difference was so minor I may not have ever noticed. I guess one reason I always dread construction (besides being a male and resenting change of any kind at all) is that things always go wrong. I don't believe a review or reference on a job over a thousand dollars if it doesn't have any problems. It is how these are handled that make a difference to me. The things I have mentioned here were not huge, but were handled in a manner that was totally sufficient to me. I will use Steadfast again if the need arises. They gave me a referral to someone they knew that could help me out with a landscaping project, and that turned out well too. Beware of the company that does everything. In this case I did not shop price, because I cared more about "IT BETTER NOT LEAK", but I feel like it was a fair price, and my wife was happy with it also, and I know that she retroactively looks at prices of things. We ordered Ratana Kingston porch furniture, which arrived three weeks ago. We spend 1-2 hours a day in it, and my only stress associated with the whole project now is where to find those perfect little tchotchke touches that go well in spaces like this.

Once started, showed up every day to continue work over about a 4 week period during a very rainy spring. Returned phone calls promptly.

I was referred this company by one of my friends. They are always prompt in their response. I used this company to do New Deck with Stairs and also the Fence. Its been 2 years, this is what I see in my Wood deck. I requested them to use screws for the deck with extra charge but they did not do this for the entire deck instead Only the base boards are screwed. Nails from the rest of the deck are popping out. I have stairs to this deck, I get cracking noise when I step on it. So I hired a handy man to replace the steps with new wood and this happened within 6 months. Now some more steps are giving the cracking noise, looks like I end up changing all the steps with new wood. Another problem, I had SAP coming on one of the base boards. The company offered me to clean it rather than replacing the base board which is not what I expected within their 1 year warranty period. Till date, I am cleaning SAP by myself every 6 months. Not sure how long I keep doing this. One good thing is that I do not have any problem with my fence. I am moving to a new house in Ashburn within a month, and even though they are little cheaper than other competitors I am definitely not going with this company for the new deck that we are planning to do.

Working with Miguel and Grover was awesome! The project came out fantastic and was completed way ahead of schedule. I will definitely give them more work in the future. Highly recommend this team to anyone who cares about great customer service and a quality final product. Thanks again guys!

It was good. It was not excellent because they did not give me on time as promised. Finally, they gave it to me. I would rate them good but not excellent. Actually, I finished the job. I disliked their punctuality. I followed up. They did not give me the estimation on time. I followed up two times and they gave it to me.

Mike Shepherd from Steadfast did provide a quote, but not a drawing as promised. I received four other quotes, which were all free. Only Steadfast requested money for an estimate (=$69) which was supposed to include a drawing But we never got one, so I choose I different contractor!

Starting in 2014, I've done many renovations to my house. Roof, kitchen, bathrooms, stonework on the patio...and the deck installed by Steadfast. Of the $100K+ I've put into my house, the $7K for the deck was easily the best value. The salesman was super responsive, and the work-crew was attentive and fast. Of course, I was there during the install to ensure the work was done to my liking, and without exception, they tailored the job to my specifications. A few months ago I noticed part of the wood decking (not the composite - the wood frame) was warping slightly. Steadfast not only fixed it - they fixed it and actually made it look better than it did when the deck was new. I'm just blown away by how great they were. I'm 100% going to use them again when similar projects come up.

Received a quote for adding a deck onto my house. received 3D renderings and talked with them about options. Was a little surprised with the cost of such a small deck. I am sure that the deck they would make would be very nice but just don't have the money right now to go ahead with project. Will shop around when we do and might end up going with Steadfast as they have some really nice reviews, but we are not ready anyways. Company was very nice and not pushy to start right away. We told them from the get go we were just trying to get an rough idea of costs.

purchased a 20 x 20 screened in porch and patio from Steadfast. The quality of their work is superb. The screened in porch is beautiful and we have enjoyed it. They were competitive, prompt, paid attention to detail and were very responsive. They took care of all of the permits, drawings, etc and were here as promised. They finished the screened in porch as promised, with much more attention to detail than we had anticipated. We recommend them without reservation! The owners of the company kept in touch with us and came out to inspect the progress numerous times. The sales person was also on site making sure that the porch was up to their standards. We had Nelson, whom we recommend. He was solely responsible for all of the expert carpentry work. They also had an electrician come out and meet all of electrical needs Pablo whom we also recommend and have used since the building of the porch. Lastly, Joel was the person who put in our paver patio and it is beautiful. All of these contractors work for Steadfast and are outstanding in their specific fields. The details around the porch, the stained floor, the bead board inside ceiling, the entire porch is spectacular. We have and will continue to recommend Steadfast. If you ask they will show you pictures of the porches they have completed and you can see what they constructed at our new house.

Our experience was very positive. Steadfast managed the carpenters, roofers, electrician, and permits for the whole job. Josh did a great job of setting our expectations and working with us over many discussions to see that we ended up with a design that we liked. Jose and team, and Pablo and Hector all did excellent work. The porch is a significant addition (in floor area) to our home and we were glad that Steadfast worked diligently to do the construction right. One feature that we love is the Weather Master windows that enclose the porch, they're made of a flexible heavy plastic material that is transparent, durable, and easy to slide out of the way; they keep the porch about 10 deg. warmer than outside and we can use the porch more often with them.

The proposal was very professional and thorough. The price appeared competitive, but I did not like the discount offered for early acceptance. Every proposal should have a deadline, but if they can afford to reduce the price before proposal expiration, the discount is pure profit if not taken. Had we selected Steadfast, I am sure the finished product would have been excellent, but we chose a different firm whose price was a little lower. The $69 charge was for proposal preparation. (My C rating for responsiveness reflects my opinion that proposal presentation (especially one that I paid $69 for) should have taken no more than one week.)

Josh showed up on time for his appointment and was very professional and courteous. As promised he sent me the estimate along with some 3D rendering. No pressure sales. We decided to go with a different provider in our case.

Josh was clear and informative as to method and materials. He spent time being sure we understood his. We are going ahead with the work.

Kenny and the rest of his employees at Steadfast Construction were excellent. Miguel, the project manager for our project, clearly and effectively communicated with us at each step of the process and actually took the time and effort to listen to us. The workmanship on the deck, the patio, and the installation of the sliding glass door was impeccable. They completed the job on time and on budget and cleaned up after themselves. In a time when good contractors are hard to find, Steadfast Construction should be your one stop shop for any deck or patio projects you have in mind. They are true professionals.

They called and apologized for the miss communications. We see the issue as closed.

The rep came to the house and provided the drawings. Some aspects of the drawings were not accurate on the first set of drawings, but Steadfast was willing and able to re-make the drawings at no additional cost. At times it required several emails or phone calls to reach the representative. Eventually I spoke with a manager and he was very helpful and willing to work with me on a final bid price that was competitive with other companies for the sunroom addition.

When comparing the terms of the written contract against the end result, we do not view this deck as being successfully completed and the defects are still under warranty and need to be replaced but Steadfast manager has refused. The materials used have defects which do not fall under the category of ?minor cosmetic imperfections?. Tree sap spilled out from five deck boards and most of steps do not look right and probably impacts the structural integrity of the deck in the future, and the sap will stay on the decks for years, and they are not a cosmetic imperfection. Some 2x4 rails, 4x4 wall posts, and 6x6 support posts have relative large and long splits and some deck boards shrink in size and are not a cosmetic imperfection. We only require that STEADFAST replace some of the impacted boards as they do not meet the standard outlined in the contract as being the ?finest quality materials?. We do not require replacement of the deck. We also want to highlight the fact that when the field supervisor was last at our house to examine and review the work done in July 15, he stated to both myself and my wife that he would come back to fix/replace the defected boards and incomplete work including tree sap. He also indicated we should contact him as we approach September/October should more boards appear with this tree sap issue. Given the above points fall within scope of the labor & material warranties, we willing to work with them to resolve these issues in a timely manner with minimal effort but they chose not to do so for the following reason.. This is what the Steadfast manager sent us: "Though we always do our best to install the highest quality available at the time of install, please recognize that like you, we cannot stop the wood from suffering cosmetic imperfections as it dries." We do not think the wood that they used to build the deck for us were good quality wood, probably immature wood to save their money. The manager talked highly about the quality of C-select decking on the internet, but it was not true. Therefore the warranty of 2 years labor and 25 years labor in the contract are just for cosmetic only so they get the contract. It seems that after the deck has built, they are done so it is our responsibility after. Unfortunately, there is nowhere in this review that we can post many pictures to share with you all. The bottom line is, please do not take a chance to deal with the issues.

They had to come out and replace some things because the original person did it incorrectly and didn't know what he was doing. I'm still not perfectly satisfied. At one point I was talking with someone there, and they were screaming at me on the phone (I think it was the owner). They never called to apologize.

The builders were professional, hard working, and punctual. They were very informative and kept us appraised of anything and everything, which kept us at ease knowing what to expect. Although they planned for possible delays, everything went smoothly and on schedule (including a small rain delay). The material was delivered on time and the old deck was demolished and hauled away. The quality and sturdiness (it's rock solid) of the new deck is outstanding. All fasteners are flush and the decking was fastened from below which makes for a smooth walking surface. We asked for a privacy lattice, and the builder (Grover) worked with us to build according to our liking and suggested appropriate size. Nothing was prefabricated! It was all "built to order" and the care and expertise I saw from the builder was impressive. All inspections were scheduled appropriately and went smoothly. During delivery of deck, Grover walked around with us (top and bottom) and explained how to properly maintain the wood and Fiberon. Since then, we have been enjoying the deck every chance we can! Great job! Highly recommend Steadfast and if you can ask for Grover for the builder.
