Workmen appeared on time, worked hard for the 2.5 days needed. They covered furniture and cleaned before leaving. They were very pleasant to have come in to work.

This company is a contractor so it has different groups it uses. They were pretty good about keeping me informed who was coming in and out for the work. I felt like I could trust them and their workers. They were all polite and efficient as far as time wise. They stayed close to budget; the only reason they went over was when we made choice changes over the original estimate. They cleaned up everyday and I was impressed as to how they kept the dust to minimum.

HB Services performed all services in accordance with our agreement. All interaction - from initial estimates through post completion walk through - was professional and pleasant. HB Services was highly flexible as I wanted to break the job into three phases to limit the impact - both on our time and finances. In combination with unfavorable weather, the project turned out to be more complex and lengthy than originally envisioned. However, HB Services dealt with the complexities of the job and my special requests remarkably well. The bottom line for me was that HB Services communicated with me clearly and openly and did exactly what they said they would which made the entire project that much easier to handle.

HB was fantastic. They worked with us on the budget and really listened to our needs in coming up with the design. For example, although we initially requested two standard skylights, Bob suggested a large (4' x 4') skylight to maximize the light coming into our family room and kitchen. He also worked with us to get the dimensions of the banquette just right. Our carpenter Mike did an outstanding job. He suggested a herring bone pattern for the Trex flooring in the new porch, and the unique design he came up with really sets the space apart. We appreciate his excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail at every step. We are thrilled with our new screened-in porch and use it every day. We have started showing it off to our friends and they are very impressed!

The project started out well, had a hiccup, and ended ok. We really liked the young woman who sold us the job and was very helpful with design ideas. However, as the job progressed there were issues. The major concern was with the sub-contracted tiler who was described as the company's "best tiler." The spacing of the decorative glass tile trim was poorly done and had to be taken out and done again. The row of large subway tile right above bathtub was not cut with a wet saw, had a jagged, sawtooth edge and had to be taken out and replaced. Conmunication with job foreman was difficult, at best. An attempt was made to cover up the poor job by using a colored caulk that matched the tile color as a traditional white caulk would have really made the jagged edge of the tile stand out. When we pointed it out to the job foreman he tried to justify the poor quality of work by saying "that's not unusual and it should be good enough." We were very happy with the reponse we got from the owner of the company who made a personal visit to the job site to see what we were unhappy about. The job foreman verbally told us that if we had unopened boxes of tile that it could be taken back and we'd recieve a refund. When all was said and done the refund, according to the foreman would only be credited toward the "next job>" Which we have not intention of giving to HBServices. In the end we got a nice bathroom makeover but not the quality advertised by the company.

My 43 year old kitchen had not been updated. Harry Hink provided plans that were exactly what we needed and Emily Vuono was a great help in helping me pick out counters, back splash, etc. All of his staff were very professional and hard working. This is the first contractor we've had in our home that my husband didn't have one complaint about!

Every time we have used them they have done excellent work. The owner was a very personable guy and very customer oriented. They have reasonable prices and I would definitely recommend them. We would use them again in the future.

They were fabulous. It seemed as though each of the subcontractors was honest and hard working. If there was a problem, it was presented to us. I was very impressed with the whole process. The guys who did the tile work were incredible. The tile required a lot of cutting and they did it patiently and professionally. The plumbing guys were also great. There were a few issues and they handled the issues very professionally. We priced several different places, and HBServices was much lower than the other bids. We were very with the outcome.

First we should tell you that we live in a home built in 1910 so sometimes the things we need done are not simple or straightforward. Last year HBServices replaced our front porch piers that had shifted after the earthquake, replaced our air conditioning system, rebuilt the wraparound screen porch and installed insulation. This year they installed a wonderful patio door system leading to the deck and replaced hideous 1970 windows with windows that look wonderful with the original part of the house and make the room an order of magnitude more comfortable. Every part of working with Erik, Harry and their crews has been excellent. We have been in this house for 20 years and have worked with a variety of contractors on jobs large and small, but going forward we can't imagine ever calling another contractor. Our only regret is that it took us a while to find them. Thank you, everyone at HBServices.

We have had several improvements done to our home as it is older. This was the first time we have not had to have a call back to finish, change or correct a mistake. HB Services were incredible. from the initial meting with Harry we were confident with his knowledge and ability. We were not disappointed as his lead carpenter Mike was incredible, the man never stopped working and it was obvious he loved his job. And before I could ask if it was going to have a sweep rail he was doing it. All the workers that came were the same way. Polite, quiet and hard working. Every evening everything was swept up, cleaned up and put away. they even came back after the deck was finished and raked the yard and planted grass seed. They all were incredible. I will use them again in a heart beat and would recommend them to anyone.
