Mr. Oullette was very responsive and prompt in coming to provide an estimate, and kept his estimate good for 5 months while I was deciding what to do. He was able to schedule the work quickly once I accepted the proposal. He recommended the landscaping in the front with the nandinas and did a very nice-looking job with that. He removed the volunteer trees and bush leaving no trace behind at all. He worked with the neighbors as well since one of the bushes to be removed was actually rooted on their property. I got estimates from several others, Chuck's prices were the most reasonable and he did exactly what he promised to do. Would definitely recommend and use again for tree yard and landscaping work.

Premium has a lot of work for us in our back yard. We started with them in June of 2012 when they trimmed our trees. Their estimate was extremely fair and half the price of what other companies said they would charge us to trim our trees. Price was $1200 We also hired them to put up replace shrubs that were killed when our fence collapsed. Price was $500 We then hired them again to put up a fieldstone wall, firepit, sit wall, plant two japanese maple trees, and reposition and remulch our shrubs. Price was $5000 We now have them deliver our mulch once a year and aerorate our lawn. Their team arrived on time and worked professional and diligently to complete everything. I highly recommend them.

I'm now finishing my 2nd or 3rd season using Premium and I fully intend to continue next year! I've arranged to have them mow/edge my lawn weekly at a very reasonable price. Throughout the year, they've treated the lawns (fertilizer, insecticide). I also asked them to help me with my relatively "thin" lawn and leaf removal. Do I pay extra? Yes -- but the estimates (written) are always clear and they've always been willing to do only the work I ask them -- no sales pressure. This year, I asked for help with the tree roots that have come above ground and headed toward my foundations. Rather than dump a truck load of dirt over it all, they recommended removal of the above ground roots up to the neighbor's trees (I'd informed the neighbors I was doing so and they were okay with it), leaving enough to continue to hold the trees up. They accomplished the work within a week -- and then aerated, overseeded and placed placed "compro" (looked like very black dirt) down. With the new grass in place, I'm ready for the winter and look forward to next year's lawn! I've never been disappointed with Premium, and their office staff is always gracious and professional. The only "downside" (if it's even a real down side) is that you still pay your monthly bills via envelope/check rather than on line. But -- they've been very willing to pay via credit card on the phone -- awesome! I highly recommend their service -- I'll be using them again next year!

Premium was late to get us scheduled so the reseeding was late October, late in fall and after the weather turned cold. Premium chose to reseed on a day where the forecast called for strong, gusty winds >40 mph. They put down seed, then covered the seed with hay. We came home to find the hay all over our neighbors' yards and the street, so I spent an hour or more cleaning up the hay. I don't think any of the seed took. Premium also re-routed a downspout by digging the corrugated tubing underground. (Previously, the corrugated tubing drained directly onto our patio.) Water doesn't drain out the downspout, so I'm not confident that it's working. Before, while the water drained onto our patio, I knew the drain was working.

Premium was great -- the crew showed up on the appointed day, and although the weather threw the project off schedule by a couple days, they finished in 5 work days as promised. Mark, the project manager was on site at least twice a day, and although we played phone tag a lot, he was very responsive to my questions and requests. I plan to have them install plantings and sod in the front yard this spring.

They do good work. I do have an issue. They offer everything and they are quite large. They do tell us ahead of time when they are going to do actual lawn type maintenance with the fertilizing and the liming and all that stuff but we have asked for full landscaping including hedge trimming and I feel like they do not come forward unless I call them. They say they do this in the Spring and the Fall but it's up to me to schedule it. They have not yet started doing any leaf clean up. And the didn't come at all last week to even do the mowing. I feel that they are not a pro-active company I think because they are so large, they just have a huge customer base that they trying to accommodate. Their work is good when they do it and you have to schedule it and everything but I was just hoping to get more of a personal care kind of thing that the person that comes out initially talks to you about the service. I notice that you have a dad patch in your yard we have notice that there is some fungus going around in the neighborhood we will treat that for you. It's not that kind of stuff. You have to pinpoint it yourself and call it in and wait. They are not real timely in getting the job done on those extra things. Our yard is just full of leaves right now and I haven't heard word one from them when they are coming out to do that. That part of it I'm not real happy with. I just think they are a very large company and perhaps can't give you the personal attention that I was hoping for. They have been here pretty much every week to mow. I don't really have any verbal contact with them unless I see something I don't like what they are doing, then I go out and tell them. They are mostly accommodating men, they are very pleasant and try to be helpful.

Other side of house graded, drain extended away from foundation, sod installed over previously cleared plant bed. Two employees worked much of the day to accomplish this project. They were polite, hard working, cleaned up after themselves. Project manager came onto the site, interacted with owners and provided progress report. We plan on hiring this company for stage 2 next year as budget allows.

They were top notch. They were extremely responsive and worked within our budget to accomplish the work we wanted for the backyard. We can’t say enough good things about them. The workers worked so hard that it was amazing.

The aeration/seeding service was fine overall. However, the coverage could have been better. There were clear (to me) areas that needed seeding but I did not see evidence that the aerator had covered those areas. When they provided the aeration service last year, I believe the coverage was better and that it made a positive difference in the appearance of my lawn the next spring.

Mark was the rep that I used. He was very professional and punctual, and listened to my needs. There were some stones that the crew forgot to glue, but when I spoke to Mark, the problem was fixed in a timely matter. I would use them again, and would also recommend to friends and family.

They did the whole job for way less than any other company estimated. They were very prompt and courteous. Mitch was our rep and he was fantastic and very helpful. He broke down the costs for the job for me and gave me plenty of options.

I was a good customer of theirs for 9 years - so good in fact, last year they started mowing my lawn before even waiting to hear from me. This year when I was ready for them to start mowing, I sent several emails that they ignored so I contacted them through their website and finally got a response from annette saying that since they hadn't met my expectations, they were not renewing my contract. WHAT??? My expectations were that they not start mowing my lawn and charging me until hearing from me. That's not an unreasonable expectation. BUYER BEWARE!!! Clearly the business is doing well enough that it will just drop long time customers on a whim. That's not "premium" service!!!! Fortunately there are plenty of other lawn mowing services who appreciate their customers and there is A LOT of competition for this service.

I have used Premium before for yard clean up. I will continue to use them. If I request a redo on any work they have done for me, they promptly come out and do it. I also have them mow and edge my yard weekly. I am very satisfied with their work.

Have an ongoing contract. They show up, do the work quickly and leave. Yard looks great.

Except for a few minor mishaps, it all went well. They took care of the issues and finished out nicely.

They were really cool and nice. We just decided that we didn't want to spend that much money. It was going to cost right around $2000 which was a lot more than we are having to spend at that time. It was a lot of work. We just decided to spend our money in a different thing. It seemed like a really good service but it was more than we are hoping to spend. Their prices were reasonable. I would use them in the future.

Premium was great! We were super pleased with their services, responsiveness, and assistance. They were punctual, professional, and did great work. We couldn't have been happier. While it wasn't the lowest priced bid for the job, we are thrilled that we chose them as they did fantastic work that was of the highest quality. It really was a great value!

I've been using Premium Lawn and Landscape for weekly mowing, spring and fall clean-ups, and general landscaping needs/wants for some four years. They are incredibly responsive to requests for quotes and services in response to quotes. Their work is top-notch. I've had several yard care services, and none compare to the quality of service I have received from Premium. Mark Aitken-Cade and his company/employees are the best of the best, in my opinion and experience. Good value for services provided, too.

Chuck Ouellette of Yards Are Us did not complete the work he was paid to do. He was hired in February 2013 to remove 6 trees. His original bid was higher than some competing bids but he agreed to lower it to match their price. He was initially polite, showed up on schedule, and performed the work. He was paid $140 above the agreed upon price because he had been so responsive. Then the trouble began. He had agreed to cut the trunk sections into lengths no longer than 18 inches so that they could later be split to fit into the wood burning stove. Many of the pieces which he left exceeded that length; these are large sections of oak tree trunk more than 2 feet in diameter. Followup phone calls were made 3 times (March, May, and July) in attempts to get him to return to complete the work. The first time he agreed to do it (but did not return); the second time he made excuses but still verbally agreed (and again failed to do the work); during the last phone call, he got angry and made threats, then hung up (there was no 2-way conversation, incredibly unprofessional). A complaint was filed with the BBB on July 2, 2013. He waited until receiving their final notice to respond. His response was that he was no longer in business, as of July 25, 2013 ... yet, he is still an active business on Angie's list. As further detail, the tree trunk section which are too long are still sitting on the muddy ground out in the trees, rotting and getting infested with ants, worms, and termites ... with poison ivy and other vines growing over them. These pieces are too big to move and I had not wanted to incur the expense of renting a splitter until all the wood was ready to be split (because there are appropriately cut sections which also require splitting). All of the wood may now be ruined and usable as firewood this winter. An attempt to save it at this point will mean hiring someone else to do what Chuck Ouellette of Yards Are Us has already been paid to do. And, if it is ruined, there will be the additional expense to have it hauled away. I would strongly recommend to any and all that they not trust or hire this business.

They do a good job. The price is reasonable.

Excellent! The price was exactly what I was looking for and they put me on the schedule for the next week. It has been three weeks and I love how my lawn looks! I would definitely recommend them to friends.

Here is a copy of one of my last emails with a new manager I spoke to earlier this year to advise them of our issues. I did hear from Annette advising that if we had our new service (who is great) send us a written statement they would consider addressing the issue. After much discussion my husband, we did not want to start our new relationship with a good company based on what these people did and ask them to get involved. Premium should have stood behind their work, or lack thereof, So we are out money and decided to just report this on Angie's List. I would not recommend them at all for seasonal lawn care. I can't speak to any of their other services ================== Good morning, Annette: Thank you for taking my phone call this morning. As stated, we had our lawn evaluated this week and, as I suspected given all the issues we had with Premium last year, we will now be needing to perform remedial yard work to fix issues that were either not addressed by Premium properly last year, and/or addressed incorrectly, causing no repair to what we needed to have done, and, in addition, causing further new damage to our lawn. As you know, prior to your coming to Premium, and during my time working with you, we had numerous issues from mowing, to flowers, to damaged/dry areas and to weeds that Ritchie inspected and was to address. These issues were not handled properly - either by not addressing them in a timely manner; not addressing them at all; or addressing them with incorrect treatments; and our lawn is now suffering as a result. We are seeking some remedy from Premium to defray the costs that we will now be forced to incur, if we want to get our lawn back to where it should have been had your company done their job correctly; by way of either reimbursing some of what we paid to you last year for services you purportedly performed and/or performed incorrectly that damaged our existing lawn; and/or compensation for what we will be forced to pay to remedy this - which will not take place over night. We could be forced to wait more than one season in order to correct these issues. Thank you for addressing our concerns, Jean Weitz Baltimore

Excellent service all around. Very professional, competitive pricing (for properly insured companies), the owner has answered my questions and provided good customer service. There was one little mishap involving a damaged shingle on the roof of my shed, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't too bad.
