After the tech showed up about 3 hours late for my scheduled, first stop appointment, my tech diagnosed what we knew was the problem; our disposal did not work! Because I emailed SSI a few days before the appt requesting an approx. costs of a new disposal, I was surprised by the events. Because I did not get a return email from the company, I called their office a day or two later to discuss price so that I could decide whether or not I wanted to keep the appt based on the costs of a new disposal. She gave me a range and I said that i wanted the tech to have the least or next to the least expensive disposal on his truck. The person on the phone agreed to this request. When the tech arrived, because of my conversation with the main office, I expected to be offered the lesser price of a disposal, but instead, the tech tried his best to put down any product other than the two expensive disposals that he had on his truck. After unsuccessfully negotiating a lesser price, which I was quoted (within a range of prices), the tech left and also left my disposal and sink in disprepair. Instead of having an annoying problem of a non-working disposal that would not turn on, I now have a pipe that shoots out water underneath the sink. When I caught up with the driver, still in my driveway, and requested that he return to fix the problem that was now exacerbated, he said he had to call the office. Long story short, he said he could fix the problem, after I called the office and made an appointment for him or someone else to come back out on the next day or whenever their schedule permitted. He also quoted me the same $250 previously quoted price of a new disposal. I called the office and they said the same thing, quoting me a price of $125 to install plus the costs of a new disposal and it was up to me whether or not I wanted to use their $250 disposal or purchase my own. This unproductive service call was a total waste of my time and energy and money (diagnostic). Though the technician that came out was nice enough, I will never use or recommend this company.

Got quotes for the full replacement and decided to go with SSI since I had worked with them in the past for small maintenance things and they had also come recommended by the former HOA in my neighborhood. Bacon the "salesman" was very professional until you signed the contract. Lied about the install date to get me to sign the contract and after signing he told me the install date was actually 4 days later than we agreed on (mind you we are in a heatwave at this time). Bacon also told me he had his "best installers" coming to install the unit. The experience all goes down hill from here. A team of 2 people came to do the install. For the most part the install itself was OK. They did keep OLD EXISTING connections from the legacy system, including copper pipe, CPVC, and the duct work coming out of the air handler which I was not very happy about. Unit installed in one day and AC was working again. After they leave I hear water dripping near the air handler. I take the grate off and look into the air handler and its leaking water everywhere. Called SSI back they 1st send a plumber to fix and HVAC issue, he comes says he can't do anything and leaves, they then send the correct HVAC person and he determines the coils in the air handler were not properly stripped of the coating the manufacturer places on them for storages. 1ST RED FLAG. When I do business and a vendor sends me a subpar product I have it replaced I don't try to make it work when a customer is paying top dollar. Anyway 1st, attempt to clean the coils unsuccessful, 2nd attempt unsuccessful, 3rd attempt (after spraying it with God knows what) the water is not dripping anymore but now we have a mess in the insulated boarding under the air handler, its been wet and will create mold. SSI walks away I again have to go after them to replace the duct work that is now soaked. They replaced it with an non insulated duct box (not the same as they removed) because again they do things the cheapest, and easiest way. That was taken care of and after Sept, the AC really was not used anymore. Here comes winter. I go to turn the unit on and NO heat. I guess the "best installers" forgot to test the whole unit. Have to have SSI back out yet again. The worker comes to find the "best installers" did not purge the system of air/water so that the heating system would work. Also the "best installers" placed the outdoor unit on top of gravel and a flimsy plastic base. After a few days the base started to bow and the unit was sitting un-even. I went back to the contract to find the "best installers" were to build a wooden box for the unit to rest on. Called SSI back out yet again to have them level the unit. They leveled it when I was at work so I come home to see the unit is still not leveled. Called SSI and this is what I was told "Our installer figured since the ground was still cold he would off-set it a bit and then when the ground warms up it should settle properly." Again have them out to truly level the unit. Installer comes to do the job levels the unit, I take a look at it and agree its leveled. We shake hands, he's walking away getting into his truck and I notice he did not plug the fuse back in, so yell to him that he didn't finish the job. When I let management know about him not finishing the job they wanted to argue with me saying he was not finished yet. SSI has been back out to my house a total of 9 times for ONE installation job. Save yourself the headaches I have been dealing with for a year now and go with someone else. THEY WERE NOT EVEN THE CHEAPEST!

We were concerned about a leak as well as drainage issues with our sinks and bathroom. The service agent was honest, professional, punctual and we were very happy with the overall services provided.

I was a day or two out of warranty on a system they installed, but they declined to honor the warranty. The tech came out and was not very honest. He just wanted to sell a new compressor. He did not try troubleshooting and was not very forward in educating the customer. I never received a receipt on the work order, he just charged me. I verbally requested a receipt and was told one would be mailed, but I never received it. I went with a second service provider who was able to find the problem and it ended up costing half of what SSI quoted me.

We weren’t satisfied. He came out and fixed part of it and had to come back out the next day. He didn’t come when he said he would and we had to call. The fix turned out to be more expensive than we thought it should be. We were to have the innards of the toilet replaced and he fixed the leaky pipe under a sink.

We have been dealing directly with SSI since we took back our house in 2006. Before that time we were out of the country and the house was managed by a rental agency that also used SSI for furnace and AC maintenance. We sinply continued the arrangement with SSI and have been thoroughly satisfied with their work, including their response to 2 emergency calls to check our furnace that wasn't working properly. .In late February 2014 we had the routine maintenance performed by SSI on our furnace. We were out of the country at the time but a friend,, who watches the house ffor us, was there with the SSI technician and I also talked to him over the phone. He recommended replacement of the blower motor and we agreed and he did the work at the same time. On April 2, 2014, we returned from overseas and, upon entering the house late that afternoon, noticed that it was very cold. When the furnace was running, there was no heat coming out of the vents. I called SSI and requested an emergency visit to check our furnace. A technician came to the house a couple of hours later. When he checked the furnace he noted that the valve on the pipe that provided gas to the furnace was shut off. He opened the valve and the furnace began to work properly. After talking to the friend, who watches the house for us, and learning about a few other related facts (The gas bill for the month of March was $100 less than it had been during the previous monnths.), I believe that the technician simply forgot to reopen the gas valve after he finished the work of replacing the motor. No one else could have closed this valve. I know that the technician was somewhat forgetful because the person who watches the house told me that SSI contacted him a couple of days later to ask if they could return to the house to pick up a tool that the technician had forgotten when he left after finishing the work. I told this story to the person in SSI who answered the phone when I called to schedule the routine maintenance on our air conditioner. She said that she wasn't the person to deal with this and passed me to the voice mail bax of someone else. I left my name and cellphone number but this person never called me. I also talked to the technician who came for the AC maintenance but again, no one contacted me. My point was that if the SSI technician had forgotten to turn the gas on, we shouldn't have paid for the the emergency visit to do this. We are satisfied with the work of SSI and their responsiveness to emergency calls and will continue to use them in the future. I am just disappointed that my attempts to talk to someone from SSI about this matter have been unsuccessful.

Our technician, Andy, was outstanding. He was very thorough and complete in his inspection and evaluation of the AC units. He explained what he was doing and gave us a summary of what items may need attention in the near future. Andy is courteous and professional, and a pleasure to work with.

Tech was punctual, knowledgeable, professional. Explained everything he did. Answered all my questions.

The plumber did not believe he could install the sink and faucet using the provided fittings (Ikea). He said the fittings were not standard and he had not worked with them before. He offered to call other plumbing companies to see if he could find someone willing to install them. He seemed sincere about his concerns, though it is strange a company as large as Ikea would sell fittings that licensed plumbers will not install. I ended up doing the plumbing myself.

They arrived on-time and were professional and friendly. Everything was fine. The work was done extremely quickly. I asked them about completing some additional work and they provided a quick estimate for the other work, which seemed high.

The tech did a thorough inspection and detected a safety issue with the heater. They were able to locate, install, and complete an install the same day. They filed all the necessary permits (gas line) and set follow up appointments for county inspection.

I NEED IT SERVICE SOONER. THEY WERE BOOKED UNTIL MID TO LATE JUNE.

Great Experience. The technician arrived on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. We just purchased our home and knew we would most likely need to replace the tank. The technician spoke to me about our options and was even able to install the new hot water tank the same day. We will definitely use them again.

Determined quickly that the tank seals were beyond repair and that I needed a new water heater. Also evaluated an older tankless unit that was installed by a previous owner that we had never attempted to connect and use. He took a considerable amount of time to assess replacement options and was very honest about the timetable for those installations.

I believe I got good work done for a good price. will use again

On time, no problems with appointment, they try to sell other thing such a new thermostat. Other than that I like them.

The experience was good. He poked holes in my wall to find a water leak. He was able to identify the problem and repair the leak. The technciain was informative and minimized the number of holes to find the leak. I did have to patch up the wall after he left.

It was a good experience and they took care of the problem. I wanted them to install something I had purchased and they made a suggestion that it was not a good solution. I spent more than the Big Deal price.

I bought the faucet and disposal but could not install myself. I was charged $400 to install them. The good news was when I talked to the plumber about replacing the hot water heater he said flushing it out and just replacing the heating elements would save a lot of money, it did.

Everything was fine. He showed up on time. He inspected some plumbing work that we were having some problems with. He was at our home for less than an hour.

A company representative called me to confirm that I was home and to advise me that I was next in line for service. The technician arrived between the schedule time. He was friendly, professional and knowledgable. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. He gave me some safety tips, which were highly appreciated.
